This is why I have my own headcanon because IDW woke-canon is trash. I like the designs of the females and that's the end of it, the Lesbian Fanfiction doesn't interest me.
>Lesbian Fanfiction doesn't interest me.
Wait what? Explain please I'm genuinely curious because I've been seeing people spam SEGA asking for some ship name on X to be canon.
The comic really likes pushing the new OC girls over established characters. I'm pretty sure Tangle and Whisper have triple the amount of screentime Knuckles and Shadow have combined
Every other issue of this comic is about their new OCs who are quite literally defined by being crying lesbians. I did a count at one point from their inception to about 10 issues ago the pair have around 40 panels of them crying or being emotionally distraught. The couple is "canon" by the fans as the writes and artists keep pushing hints of their gayry, even though SEGA has told them outright "You cannot have them be gay or in a relationship" SEGA has many MANY mandates on their comic that writers basically have to keep chipping away till they get their way. So to get around that things like scenes of them hugging and the sunset making the lesbian flag colors happens. Eventually if IDW keeps the IP they will be a point it's so blatant it becomes canon.
All of this I wouldn't give a shit about IF THEY WEREN'T SUCH SHIT CHARACTERS! Every other fucking issue is just the worst due to the pair being cancer. Even the small engagement of Blaze, Sonic, and Silver going fucking shopping and talking is more interesting then the Lesbian Loser gang.
All the while my boi Knux is mandated to an island, Shadow can't do anything other than show up and leave, and Silver is forced to play with the Lesbian Losers.
Someone fucking buy this IP and retcon it all. Except Starline, love my gay little Platapus. Dude needs to be revived.
I mean, I can understand them simping on porn boards like on /trash/, she's hot and the headcanons of some Anons who like her have good ideas. Also, I'll be sure to draw more of her getting her ass kicked when I'm done with this irl stuff. She's cute when her back is against the wall.
The creators have basically admitted they make it all about the lesbian OCs because there’s too many restrictions on writing the real Sonic cast. Whether that’s fair or just them being talentless and stuck-up is your own decision.
>too many restrictions on writing the real Sonic cast
why that sounds like SEGA saying "you are writing our characters as dogshit, do better"?
As much as I wouldn't vouch for IDW's writing, this really is a case of SEGA putting in a bunch of bitch tier requirements that basically boil down to 'any character from the original series can't have character progress' because that ruins the image of their mascot. Here's a list of the sega mandates if you want to check it out yourself: https://sonic.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000000200167
Considering IDW's low IQ writing skills this is probably a net positive, but I can see why the comics moved to focusing on OCs that they had more control over. God knows anyone writing it would be tempted to do it.
Fans are stupid.
The IDW staff are retarded. They can't write around some pretty basic outlines that aren't that offensive. Seeing how much Tangle and Whisper cry in this book, I'm glad that fucking mandate exists.
If you've actually been reading it, you'd be complaining that it's not about anybody except Sonic doing everything while the OCs mug for attention despite being completely pointless.
This is the worst part. Promotion and fan discussion highlights the OCs. But then you read the comic and they aren't allowed to fucking do anything. Give me the fun Whisper and Tangle adventure you keep teasing. Don't just have them cry, get their asses beat and get bossed around by an even less prominent OC. If they have to steal tine away from the titular character, let them shine.
Who the fuck is she to decided anything, if anyone should be the leader it should be whisper or silver. Silver being a main guy in most sonic adventures and a leader of his own future resistance. Whisper being the only member of a successful team for a year long war also not just being yokels firing guns and actually being a legit killing machine solo badass after her teams death.
Even tangle at least helped defend a town and was apart of the not freedom fighters for a while and saved lanolin incompetent ass.
Lanolin...............the assistant to a rookie leader and person who was a background worker in the organization. "THAT'S WHO SHOULD LEAD" said evan.
>also find it funny how i never understood the boards love for lanolin. now that she's an actual character everyone hates her kek.
Also panel below really threw me for a fucking loop, she just bitch slapped whisper or threw her down like a sack of bricks with no care. Wtf type of bs is that.
>she just bitch slapped whisper or threw her down like a sack of bricks with no care. Wtf type of bs is that.
Whisper is not picking a fight with Lanolin, she pulled her hand away from Duo, which Lanolin takes as aggression.
Exactly at no point did it feel like whisper was going kill mod even with duo as she just wanted to grab him. But lanolin just wanted to act tough and threw whisper who should be her superior. Also add on to this that silver saw the eye change and almost died why defend duo so much.
The comic has a problem with these characters having very forced roles despite their history. Silver is considered a rookie despite everything he's done because of his "young" role and Lanolin is now a powerful experienced commando with seniority over the others because of her "boss lady" role.
See exactly but at least with whisper it would have made sense. Whisper was established as a covert ops sniper solo soldier, and Silver fangirls for her so him respecting her and listening to her makes sense. Also weird to introduce lanolin and emphasize how she's the least experienced and just became a warrior. They imply she either joined the fight post forces meaning she wasn't in the war or during metal meaning she's only been a officer for maybe 4 months at this point. If you wanted us to respect her introduce her as a experienced person like whisper.
Either way I'm tired of the diamond cutters and I just want my boy Silver to finally get some respect. I think they maybe trying to make us like whisper, because my hate for lanolin has superseded my hate of tangle and whisper. Sad he seems to be out of the comics he was the only thing i was looking forward to in this arc. Also damn without silver they just a bunch of nobodies/weaklings really, even mimic acknowledged silver as op. No lie imagine in the sonic verse denying a hedgehog from your team, silver is fast, strong and versatile, shit silver put in 200x more work than lanolin or whisper last arc.
>without silver they just a bunch of nobodies
This is my biggest gripe, I've never been a fan of silver or cared much about him back when he debuted in 06, but I still can see him being underplayed here. I might not have an attachment to him, but he is one of the hedgehog that can go super saiyan for fuck’s sake, these OC are literal nobodies on the scale, if anything I'm starting to like Silver out of the cognitive dissociation of him being treated as if he was below tails tier.
Ikr also funny enough silver always was my least fave hedgehog, but reading the comics and seeing how cool he could be and how he's always kind of fucked over made me feel for him. Like your naive brother/son that is diligent he's respectable if a bit foolish also he can be pretty badass when you don't have incompetent writers.
But yeah when it comes to these Ocs none of them have saved the world like at all, Silvers on in the comic at least his 2nd or 3rd world saving event. Also he's just not even close to them in scaling it's why the whole we'll put you through the test was insane, mimic literally sees silver destroy a mountain with no effort. What can Lanolin do oh i can make sound attacks lol, but yeah I feel my love/sympathy for silver has been revived thanks to this bs.
At least he didn't get fucked as bad as his other allegation arc like in archie where sonic literally dragged him by his quills through the streets. But still sad we have more diamond scissorers. I swear no ones talking about how we're getting almost a year of these Ocs.
>also writers talk about how hard it is to develop the game characters, proceed to give them no real screen time and make them cameos in their oc's story kek.
>But lanolin just wanted to act tough and threw whisper who should be her superior.
Lanolin is Whisper's superior in Restoration. Whisper has way more experience, but she is the rookie of secret special forces that went MiA. Lanolin has problems of not wanting to feel helpless, so when her authority is questioned or ignored, she becomes angry.
That's why I think knuckles should be the one to humble her. She shows up to Angel Island for reasons (Amy mentioned the Restoration sending over volunteers to him after all) and starts rubbing him the wrong way with her behavior, which culminates in Knuckles being brutally blunt while calling her out in front of everyone.

That'd be kino, thought you meant beating/ryonaing her. But yeah hit her with the "who is are you again?". In the end she definitely needs humbling, she somehow pisses me off more than whisper and tangle ever did. At least most of my hate of whisper and tangle is they are around to much.
The comic has a problem with these characters having very forced roles despite their history. Silver is considered a rookie despite everything he's done because of his "young" role and Lanolin is now a powerful experienced commando with seniority over the others because of her "boss lady" role.
You really shouldn't grip up and close your fist on someones forearm while your having an argument with them. At minimum your getting shoved and at worst your gonna get Don King's Cleveland special.
To be fair whisper was just getting her to move her arm. But you don't just hit your friend, friends move you tons of times especially if you are in the way of something immediate but yeah a shove but not a massive throw.
Yeah but still stupid as in the end respect experience and knowledge. Whisper wasn't calling her incompetent but using her knowledge of a specific threat and lanolin got pissy and defended some rando.
Also peoples gripe is she should never be a genuine superiors in terms of the world. Also lanolin reminds me of those people that get raised in rank because they have family members/friends at the top or because they are a yes man.
>Also don't downplay whispers badassery precrybaby times. She was implied to go through whole battlefields dominating bots
The diamond cutters are literally like 4 people as of now. You'd think if half your fucking team is so sketched out by the new guy they're willing to fight you over it, you'd start to be a little concerned about said new guy.
It really is. Especially naming themselves after Whisper’s dead friends. It’s like if Guts started calling his new party “The band of the Hawk 2” or if Batman started calling Alfred “Thomas Wayne”. I can’t believe Tangle was supposed to be in the right the entire time, all the readers thought she was way too autistically out of character.
>I can’t believe Tangle was supposed to be in the right the entire time
She wasn't though. The whole moral to learn about this was how even if you had good intentions you can still end up hurting people if you don't acknowledge their feelings, just as Whisper trying to distance herself from her friends to hunt for Mimic on her own was also a mistake.
They were willing to change the team name, but only kept the Diamond Cutters because of Whisper's character development and changing her mind about using the name.
>You'd think if half your fucking team is so sketched out by the new guy they're willing to fight you over it,
Silver's not on their team, and Whisper's acted out before because of her Mimic trauma (running away and cutting out people to try and find him).
And if they had something to be concerned about, then they should've talked to her and Tangle about it. Instead, they went off on their own and wound up looking crazy in front of everyone, ruining the chances of someone actually taking the accusations seriously and looking into Duo.
>New character enters the story >Immidiatly starts acting as everyones' boss
Okay, kind of a bad idea but— >Becomes a direct obstacle against the long established heroes exposing something the audience directly knows is true >Is only an obstacle thanks to the "leadership" role they were handed
???? Actually what the fuck were they thinking with this? They're setting lanolin up like they want her to take the fall and get ousted from the cutters.
Maybe she’s secretly a traitor and instead of being Sally 3.0 she’s Fiona 2.0. There might be something to that, like while Silver and Whisper are trying to expose the obvious mole they accidentally expose another traitor who wasn’t known to the audience. That’s really the only way I can make sense of her character.

You're thinking about it too hard. They want her to be the stock "leader" character so now they're making her bossy even though she hasn't been established to deserve acting like that.
Oh yeah I know the actual reason they're writing that way, I'm just saying its retarded. In most stories this would end with lanolin stepping down for not listening to 2/3s of her subordinates warning her about the obvious traitor
Soleanna still exists. It was never nuked. The ending of 06 still has Sonic visiting it after the wipe.
SEGA has never at any point tried to intentionally remove 06 itself from canon. 06 being delisted was part of a larger move to delist low rating games from the franchise overall, not specifically targeting 06.
Even so, Sega is trying to omit the existence of humans in this comic. Recently Sonic and Blaze explored a human location from Sonic Unleashed but they had no humans. I don't know exactly if this is Sega's doing or Flynn's handiwork. But living humans, except Eggman, don't exist in this universe.
Do you think it's an artifact from the fact Sega was trying to omit humans in the franchise in general at the time of its making until they got forced to answer that they were still canon in SonicTube?
I like how this issue exposes the autists here. From Lanolin's POV, Whisper and Silver were being retarded. Of course, Whisper and Silver being impulsive is also understandable given how dangerous Mimic is but of course he uses that to his advantage by acting weak. I might be speaking soon, but wouldn't Whisper have a recording from her mask to use? We know it can record shit. Would that potentially be the twist, that they all (well, the Cutters anyway) wanted Mimic to feel like he's fooled them all or something?
Ok, so we just kicked out our potentially most powerful, loyal and experienced member out of the team, who do we replace him with? >Oh, I know! That green spiky girl and that little blue kid with a backpack look nice! Hey guys, wanna join our elite task force?
People freaking out at the slightest conflict will never not be annoying like chill out, she just doesn't know and that's it, she's pretty new and unaware of this Mimic stuff
The New Diamond Cutters are fucking retarded they should have just stayed a club of friends and not be treated as a serious commando unit this book is dumb.
>Silver kicked >Wisper so convinced duo is mimic she was willing to fight the "boss" >tangle will do whatever whisper says and is just as impulsive, if not more
The "Diamond Cutters" are boutta be lanolin and 4 randos by the next issue, mark my words.
Mimic got really easily away from bad situation because diamond cutters are all retarded. Silver went ahead to determine if Duo is Mimic without knowing how. Whisper is too terrified by the possibility of Duo being Mimic that she didn't listen Lanolin and tried to move her a side. Lanolin couldn't let Whisper question her authority, so when Whisper grabs her, she immediately escalates it to a fight.
While Whisper is distracted by Lanolin, Mimic fakes injury, which is enough to fool Silver, which is then enough to make Whisper believe Silver went too far.
>which is then enough to make Whisper believe Silver went too far.
wait, what? she literally got into physical combat against her leader in the previous panel.
Going too far, meaning causing beyond the damage needed for Mimic to let his mask slip. I bet the key problem here was that Whisper didn't see Mimic just falling over and pretend he broke his arm.
This whole storyline just feels like pointless epilogue world building for Forces, which everyone including Sonic Team has already moved on from. It's fucking weird. You'd think this would be published years ago as a tie-in while promotion of that game was still relevant. But even back then it would have been seen as boring and intrusive marketing.
The comic's been using Forces as a foundation, and the next mainline Sonic game only recently came out last year, when they've still probably had the next year or so of comic storylines already planned out.
Valid point. But it doesn't look like new projects are effecting the comics at all, so it just feels like this entire thing is stiol promoting a five year old game even with shit like Forces and Prime to bounce off of.
What is the problem with the setting per se? It has animal people populate the world and old abandoned Eggtech and bases scattered across it. Its fairly open setting, so I don't really see the alternative that people yearn for.
Being tied down to la resistance was completely idiotic. Sonic never needed some kind of institutional structure to facilitate adventures and any time the "restoration" gets used it always comes off as idiotic.
It serves as pseudo-governing body for the animal people. Its there because Sonic is usually protecting someone from Eggman, and now that its not wild animals or citizen of America, there is a need for some semblance of self-governing.
The setting would be okay if it wasn't all about sitting in one place with a bunch of OCs as if there's some restriction keeping them from leaving the animal populated cities that didn't exist before Forced.
I'm not invested enough to care about the restoration of a setting that really only showed up in Forces anyways. Move out, show the rest of the world, this is supposed to be a comic about a guy with restless leg syndrome.
If we take the staff at their word that Sega is more resctive than average for an IP holder. The comic then feels like Ian and other writers wanting to hold onto their Archie freedom when it just isn't possible to expand like that.
We know the staff can write good short and contained stories like the classic stuff and minis but they rather continue with over arching stories and persudo Archie word within a Sonic Video room.
I would not be surprised given his raging hard on for Mega Man X despite Capcom slapping away that request. Classic probably requires more restraint on serious businesses stories because of how Sega advertises it as light hearted.
despite Sonic's new success we're in this weird where everything under the right contract has to be as safe as possible the only thing that isn't is the movies and honestly they've been a bit better for it.
It really does. Ken Penders made sure of that with the mess he made of Archie and subsequently suing Sega over Sonic Chronicles because he thought Bioware was ripping him off.

It really doesn't.
Sega doesn't force them to write boring stories.
Hahaha so stupid.
I'd like to remind the readers that Tamers12345 also had a shapeshifting plot episode and the antagonist was found out even after leaving a decoy.
This makes no goddamn sense. Whisper fucking knows Mimic would do anything to get away from any problem. How is hurting himself so out of the fucking question that it completely tricks her?
Why is this writing so dogshit? Why can’t we have wacky adventures of a blue hedgehog and his pals?
What are we the reader supposed to feel here? I don't understand the intent. We know she was right, and is just arbitrarily making up rules so that she is gaslighting herself into being wrong. Are we not supposed to think she is dumb and incompetent? Are we just supposed to see her reasoning as naive and endearing even though she's a hardened soldier who's delt with much worse? This is just frustrating and embarrassing.
There is absolutely no reason to trade blows over Duo of all people. It makes no sense why she’s defending him so hard, he’s literally has done nothing of value. Even if Duo wasn’t actually Mimic I’d still tell him to fuck off because Whisper and Silver bring way more value to the team than he ever could. Why would you keep him around when all he’s done so far is drive the team apart?
This is just too in-your-face about the characters acting irrationally. It HAS to be a trick to get Mimic's guard down.
This reinforces my belief that Whisper is the team bimbo pretending to be the stoic killer. She pretends to be serious but an Aqua song is playing in her head 24/7.
Why am I supposed to care about this sheep? I knew why I was supposed to care about half the Archie OCs. Why the hell should I care about this IDW one?
What are this bitches credentials that she gets to boss around Whisper and the team named after her old team?
Silver made Whisper sound like a fucking war vet when she was introduced, even if she just gets her ass kicked in present.
>What are this bitches credentials that she gets to boss around Whisper and the team named after her old team?
Lanolin's the one who started the project of the Restoration having its own strike team and Tangle and Whisper were recruited into it. And no one besides Tangle and Whisper knew what the name "Diamond Cutters" was referring to when it was originally suggested and adopted.
>the Restoration having its own strike team
How adorable, the NPCs think they can fend for themselves. Someone cave the sheep's skull in so there's one less mouth to feed.
To be fair the Forces player character who I guess died off screen was the only person who was effective at all.
They really should have just gone all in and explained Whisper is the "canon" iteration of the Forces player character, but I guess that would make her too important.
Effective or not this comic is still about war but ignores that all of Sonic's friends were resistance commanders that fought for six months straight and then treats these people that were no where to be found during Forces as actual soldiers with more experience than the people that ran the resistance(even if they didn't do it well)
Their treating Lanolin as more experienced than their other OC who was introduced as an unseen influential commando during the events of Forces. So it's weird even if you isolate the original characters from this comic.
Why does being a dumb war reenactment larper have to be an aspect of Knuckle's character now? It carried over to Forces too. It doesn't even mesh with him being a loner.
Because she'd give someone else for sonic to fight. Wouldn't have to worry about her just turning good guy and unlike metal she is capable of planning out robust strats beyond run and job.
Hell this is probably the best time with gay duck gone and the game still active. Just do a "Go Play Frontiers to learn more!" for her turning up.
But seriously, what's this I hear about this character being another Sally? Because this franchise needs less Sally and less Amy. Both are shit. And Sega pretending Amy is this oh so important core character since the Genesis era is a sack of shit. Most Genesis era gamers didn't even know Amy existed and by the time of Sonic Adventure Amy's redesign was so extreme people were convinced she was a wholly new character and she was still grating anyway.
How much longer until this comic and this franchise collapses?
Anyway, people say she's another Sally is because she's a commander of a rag tag squad against Eggman. She also is not really strong or important besides pointing at things for stronger characters to attack.
Male OCs are villains. Females are good. This comic is anti male trash. If I wanted to see anti male trash that's what Disney and Universal media is for. To hell with Sega for allowing this. I dream of the day where not even the yakuza can keep Sega alive and the company dies and their properties are bought by Namco or Nintendo.
>gay duck who died a failure >Surge’s simp >generic crime boss >shapeshifter who nearly got found out on the first day on the job, and is only successful due to the ineptitude of dykes
Rough and Tumble are the only good OCs in the comic, mostly due to them sucking is a feature not s bug.
Is it? Listening to Ian’s podcast and he seems to believe Surge is a genuine threat despite doing nothing to indicate that in-book. Maybe you can say he’s just playing marketeer and trying to hype up the book but he’s giving people the wrong impression of these characters if that’s it.
Why is Karl on the same autism as Penders? Archie isn't Image you have no claim to licenced comic creations.

Penders' case established the legal precedent. Bollers owns his work, as does Gallagher, as does everyone else, even Ian. Ian now owns whatever characters he created himself in pre-reboot, like Thrash. They don't need to have argued for that ownership, Penders in effect did it for them.

Blame Archie. You compared it to Image, but it's not the same. In Image the concept was always that you own your work, but that's not what Penders' case ended up proving. He absolutely worked for Archie expecting they owned his work, there's even an old interview where he says as much. The issue is Archie were fucking idiots and somehow lost the paperwork establishing their ownership of their freelancers' work. If there's no official signed paper by both parties saying that, then it doesn't actually happen. Archie could only produce xerox copies of the contracts, no the contracts themselves, thus the contract is void, thus the freelancers' work is owned by them and not the company that hired them, by default.

Its bullshit. The case was dropped because Penders went for a settlement. Nothing was legally proven.
It would be based if Rough and Tumble became the Spopovich and Yamu of Sonic and ryona'd one of the girl bosses so hard she got corrected into a tradwife.
>gay duck who died a failure
He's funny though because literally everyone hated him and he didn't give a fuck >Surge’s simp

Clutch is based and fills a niche >shapeshifter who nearly got found out on the first day on the job, and is only successful due to the ineptitude of dykes

They're the best, can't argue with that.

Yes, the context of the comic is it takes place after Forces.
Whisper hasn't really done anything impressive, even compared to the player character in Forces.
First off Whisper stalemated with her, second of all she’s a weapon specialist not a hand-to-hand fighter. And don’t act like destroying badniks means anything, even that background character from issue one can do that.
>Blaze and Sonic are off to see Silver and bring him some lunch. >Silver is chilling in his garden >Blaze and Silver chat, Sonic interrupts. Basically the same until Sonic goes off. >Silver then tells Blaze about the issues he's having with a small critter. >Blaze offers to help. >Cue a few pages of slapstick antics as Silver and Blaze try to capture a sneaky gopher. In the process of which Blaze and Silver learn to work together to catch him (but not kill him of course because this is a kids comic). >They take stock of the fact that the garden now looks like the Battle of Verdun, but Silver isn't worried because his friend Blaze can help him fix it.
I mean I've said it in the storytime thread, but it's somewhat staggering how the writers for this can't seem to think in terms of writing a comic - a visual medium, rather than a fanfic where people standing around talking about feelings is par for the course. Sonic is an action game series, it should be fun, punchy and cool, it's not like you can't have a little chat (the first few pages where Blaze and Silver are chatting are fine and I like the little breakup by Sonic), but, I don't know. I think show don't tell would serve the whole thing better.

Ian has always been terrible at visual storytelling and has to be carried by artists.
Evan's usually better about it, but I feel like when she pulls double duty she swings towards talking because it means less complex stuff to draw.

It's not really writing troll stories as much as just rolling with it when you get dumb feedback. When you get legitimate criticism or corrections, you should act on them. When it's something *really* dumb, you should take it as your cue to have some fun. Pitch something you'd want to read that addresses it instead. It's about reading the vibe of the feedback. Most people who have to send notes are just as frustrated as you are. So if it's *dv***re T**e, throw something funny out! If it's *l**n, maybe be a bit less silly, do something that's funny to you but functional for the audience.

I love that not a single fucking executive at IDW is paying attention to this product enough to realize that the people they're paying to produce a Sonic comic don't give a fuck about sonic and have been just putting all their resources towards writing their own bullshit fanfic featuring their own fancharacters. IDW could have just been some random kid's webcomic.
Imagine being a starling sonic fanartist who got hired on to an official gig, you go on excited to work on the series and characters you love and- Sonic? Tails? SHADOW? Haha, we don't do that here. This is my self insert Lanolin. Draw a few pages of her. Oh, and comic up are Steve and Bill's anniversary, be sure to draw a page of their OCs Whisper and Tangle making out by this weekend
This. It infects the male characters too. It's incredibly concentrated in Kit's portrayal. And while they aren't nearly as soft or in need of protection, Rough and Tumble are still incompetent in a way that's supposed to endear you to them.

Rough and Tumble actually work though, because you're not supposed to think of them as heroic or competent or anything like that. They're just a couple of dummies.
Meanwhile the girls want to flail about crying and fucking everything up but the comic still expects you to think "Wow! They're so cool and interesting" when they finally do one thing right
they think "a character should have flaws" means "a character should trauma dump all their problems at any opportunity so other characters can say hey it's ok cheer up and nothing of importance ever actually happens"
You mean "Writer", this was all under Evan Stanley. If the whole point is to make them look incompetent i.e. comic relief just like Rough & Tumble, mission accomplished. Have them repeatedly lose and get saved by the Game cast.
Other than that, they just waste space. And I'm going to powerlevel fag the fuck out of Lanolin somehow being on the same level as Whisper and Silver. Just no.
She's being pathetic so that she can be really humble and girlbosstastic when everybody tells her how awesome she is anyway and she totally rises to shine and kick villain butt despite her rough beginning
At my current point in life, likening Lanolin to a shortsighted boss who can't even do her job and takes it out in others is the fastest way to make her irredeemable to me.
All of this hurts even more since Whisper and the OG Diamond Cutters were just Foxhound Sonic OCs. It was a neat concept that they never did anything with and now Sniper Wolfs OC has been regulated to lesbian fodder.
Some people are just karens Anon. >Who the fuck gets into a fight over a newbie who has been in your team for one literal day?
This is a logical course of action, and it was reinforced by Mimic's acting.
Why would you keep him around when all he’s done so far is drive the team apart?
it's probably because whisper was the one to raise a hand against her first
Give me back my Archie Sonic. Give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back
Life isn't worth living. If you can't give me back my continuity then just kill me right here and now.
She's defending him out of her own vanity. She wants Whisper to defer to her as the leader so it pisses her off she's doing something without asking Lanolin for permission
If two different people in your group both make a serious claim about another being a traitor (especially when one of them has a history with said traitor), immediately after a large incident during practice, then yes it is hard to comprehend the severity to which Lanolin defends him. Were Silver and Whisper out of line for their methods? Yeah, but that means you fucking scold them and lock all three up for questioning not immediately take one off the team and drop all accusations on the spot. None of them should be on a team. Not a single one of these fuckwits is prepared or practiced. They're all disasters.

They are not getting paid for this, its a volunteer position. They can be as bad as they want
>Lanolin is a fucking asshole.
I'm down for this. I want it. I welcome it. >Shitty "misunderstanding" story told poorly.
Hate it.
Yeah when I heard Lanolin had become an asshole and was becoming decisive among readers I was kind of excited because this comic needs more friction and could use some good guys that don't just want to hold hands by the campfire. But it all coming from the characters being written to be complete morons just ruined the whole thing for me. They are just going to walk it all back and have a big cry together in the end regardless.
some how can tell two war heroes what to do. An refuses to even listen to their notions even though she's a rookie even lower than tangle. Has survived no world ending threats, only thing she did in her first real job was get temp killed/vaporized.

I only got into Sonic comics in the last year. I went through all of IDW and a lot of Archie but I've already dropped IDW because it's boring and the takes on the characters are terrible. Even their own characters become shit over time.
Whenever Tangle and Whisper started crying (again) after being made invisible I just couldn't take it anymore.
Someone needs to make a compilation of every time those two have teared up.
Why writters believe making women cry all the time is character development or a good character trait at all?
That's extremely stereotypical by the way, imagine making a male character who's angry all the time because he's a man?
Or a fat character who thinks about food 24/7...
[...]
why did mister tinker even give her the ability to cry??
Because mister tinker was a bad guy the whole time and wanted his creations to suffer Honestly, probably just to make her as lifelike as possible. Sure her being sad would make him fell sad, but real creatures feel sad so he would include it regardless.

i haven’t even read the comics, i just like lurking and seeing people shit on em. mostly because it feels rare to see another criticize them outside of this site
>it feels rare to see another criticize them outside of this site
It is SURREAL how much Twitter dickrides IDW. Anyone who disses it will get dogpiled, and its critics on Twitter are usually leaving out shit like how boring the OCs are.
Sonic fans are just sick and tired of everything in this series being stale and boring.
They're a big fandom and they want exciting shit to freak out and be excited about like Dragon Ball or One Piece or Spy x Family or everybody else guys can.
So when slop like this and Frontiers and Prime is all they ever get they try their darndest to hype it up as a means of coping. See how many times they spam "peak" and "shonen" over Pirate Knuckles and Beanie Knuckles punching the others' playdoh hands in Prime. They're desperate to pretend Sonic's still cool.
It doesn't help that if felt like a lot of IDW's initial praise came simply from "being like the games" unlike Archie or Fleetway, completely disregarding the circumstances that made it that way
I'll give Frontiers that the Super Sonic fights are probably the most spectacle Sonic's had since the 2000s ended and at least a step up from the complete bore of Forces beforehand, but it's still mediocre. Its villain was literally just a giant rock that didn't even have a proper name ("THE END"? Really?)
I'd accept The End if they didn't try to hype it up during the fight with empty posturing. Like come on. Own it, don't bullshit the player. It's a big rock. Play into that!

Yeah...
If they couldn't afford to make an enemy model, they still could have done something better than "my power level is huge, my cock is huge."
When after all her build up Surge made literally no impact, and even when she got her power up did absolutely nothing. Made me realize that this comic isnt really worth reading, the characters I actually care about arent actually at risk ever and no threat can really ever happen properly to em.
Issues 50 + 51
It was the same realization I had with Adventure Time and Steven Universe where nothing actually matters and any promises of buildup won't go anywhere.
I only really kept up with IDW up until after the first arc with Neo Metal Sonic, then it felt just rather meandering with the fairly uninteresting OCs and uninteresting utilisation of Sonic. I've come back periodically to either archive binge or just see what the state of the series is, but it does feel like the same issue has come up that occured in Archie where characters with potential (disillusioned platypus, puppet badnik, tomboy lemur, ptsd sniper girl with Wisps) either get sidelined for filler or they're just kind of reduced to caricatures. There's apparently good books for a few of these characters (even for the Deadly Six of all people) but they seem to involve the same kind of scenes where the good guys all spend lots of text vaguely affirming one another and the bad guys all spend lots of text vaguely disagreeing with one another. I think it's something people come to expect from these books to the point where they go "well it's a comic for kids, it's filler until the next big game rolls around, what do you expect" and it's like, you don't have to settle for wheel-spinning stuff.
>She's an unlikeable cun
Let me guess; she had a negative emotion and'or took charge of a situation and it upset your fragile male ego because you can't stand the idea of a woman asserting herself?
No, she's falling for the badguy's shitty tricks and is antagonizing the heroes over it.
It's actually not a chud reaction this time. She's just being a retard.
I don’t really thinks anyone hates Belle, more ambivalent to her, especially now that she’s been completely replaced by Sage and the story is no longer focusing on her.
People actually hate Lanolin. Her personality is actually repulsive instead of being bland. Her only appeal is coom.
Well I hate belle for all the dumb bullshit we had to endure with her. I hate Sage for ruining Eggman forever with the daddy bullshit. sage is the far worse out of the two.
>ruining Eggman forever with the daddy bullshit
Opinions on ADAM and M?
Even if the whole world turns on her... I will always love her...
Fuck off back to

I give them sort of a pass since its a different canon and for the fact eggman killed M the second he thought he was a threat to her lol. Something eggman would def do, but with sage, we wont ge her verbally abusing her or worse at all. something he did to every creation of her before but i guess she gets a pass.
True I'm not a fan but wanted the reason. I mean it was weird how she automatically can boss characters like whisper around, shit fuck that how can she boss silver around. If all the diamond cutters came at silver at once he'd rekt them. How can some powerless rookie boss around a old guard. I guess she's garden gnomeel but always in our face, at least garden gnomeel is meek and humble so she's too irrelevant to hate.
If IDW was a comedy this episode would be hilarious >Mimic doing increasingly fucked up things and pinning it all on Silver and Whisper and Lanolin berates and punishes the fuck out of them because no matter what they do they cannot prove it >Also Lanolin is a redhead and has sex with Charmy
Anyone kinda hate some of the bitching and mindset against comic originals? Just saying this now, I do have my own problems with the idw characters, but I kinda see this weird hate for them just having any sort of spotlight.
Even if they were 10/10 characters, theres just his inherent autism of them even daring to exist in autists minds.
like >story with just game ocs or big part of a story
ok >story with just comic originals or big part of a story
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Fans of the game characters bitch about character balance but really just want it to be one sided. Granted this whole situation is kinda complex with how mid some idw characters can be and i get some complaints, but im not too on board on the concept of letting them have nothing. What do you guys think about this?
I don't have a problem with them existing, the problem is that most of the ones in IDW are just lame and the ones's I like don't get as much screentime as the ones I find lame
One of my favorite Archie arcs was Scourge Lockdown and that's nothing but comic originals
it's really just the fact that they're using shitty characters
I can guarantee you the same thing would happen if they decided to randomly make Charmy one of the most prominent characters and every time something goes wrong he starts crying to Vector or something
nobody really hates the skunks, at most they just don't care and that's because they don't get to do all that much because other (worse) characters keep taking up time instead

I see people like Starline, the rat pimp, Zavok, and the Stunks more than the good guy characters, that stupid robo waifu, and that stupid robo simp.
That's cause the game cast is already bloated and Ian wants to add in even more bitches when he can barely handle the ones we already have.
The OCs should only complement the game characters, not be their own people and take up space for no reason.
It's because the cast is so huge already that adding more fucking OCs just means that actual Sonic characters not called Sonic, Tails, or Amy end up being largely ignored.
Archie at least had Sonic Universe to counteract this problem
In my opinion, there shouldn't be any hero OCs. They've ranged from redundant (Tangle, Lanolin) to godawful crybabies (Whisper, Belle), and the Sonic franchise already has like 15 main characters.
The IDW OCs should mostly just be villains. MENACING villains, mind you. Not powerless losers like Mimic and Clutch or jobbers like Surge and Kit.
I agree that we don't need new good guys, there's a few niches Sega never covered for Sonic, but they aren't important. The point I do have to make is Sega by now has created all the cliche character stereotypes for the Hero Characters. Sega generally covered all bases in that category. So we don't need new OCs which is why even Sega ideas like the Rookie OC from Sonic Forces is a whole lot of nothing or why a character like Chip also largely amounted to nothing and don't get me started on repeatedly making the Wisps be part of the official games. We have enough heroes and we don't need any more.
But about what you said about villains. It's true Sonic could use new villains but the problem is what's the point of having menacing villains if Sonic is a pacifist son of a bitch bastard pussy coward who enables all the villains to get away with their crimes? That's the reason I hate Archie Sonic and I hate IDW Sonic. All the heroes are enabling evil dangerous villains unwilling to kill them. And Eggman is the most annoying expy of Batman's Joker ever. He's evil does terrifying crimes but Sonic will never kill him or get him arrested not that prison would work as this comic already showed with the prison break story.
Villains that are menacing combined with Loser Heroes who enable them is a shit formula. It makes the heroes unlikable annoying accomplices to the villains. And that is simply shit. It ruins the main characters and renders them as annoying.
>And Eggman is the most annoying expy of Batman's Joker ever. He's evil does terrifying crimes but Sonic will never kill him or get him arrested not that prison would work as this comic already showed with the prison break story.
Western writers' fascination with Eggman being this manipulative mastermind rather than literally just "we have our own styles and we won't change"/'Eggman thinks he's helping the world' is annoying and ironically maybe more restrictive than 'muh mandates'

To be honest, while I agree that there isn't necessarily a need for any hero OCs I also feel that the bigger problem is simply that the IDW ones are absolutely boring. They just do or act like any other character.
Think of Bunnie and Shortfuse who had their conflict with their robot parts/suits. That's cool as shit, and the latter had moral disagreements with the main characters that made him stand out. Or Rotor and Tekno, who while may just be tech characters can still differentiate themselves from Tails with different niches in what they build. Nicole being a hologram, or even Antoine being loyal but totally cowardly, you don't have to do much to make the character likable or have a reason to exist.
But what the fuck do Tangle and Whisper contribute? We already have a bunch of hyper positive characters, and anyone can use the Wisps. We don't need sheep bitch to be a leader for them because nobody really needed one. garden gnomeel at least has some relevant and interesting role in all of it but said role also means she's totally in the sidelines not doing anything.
They just totally fucked up in the most important part: giving the characters a reason to exist (y'know, beyond muh lesbians)
It’s the writing flaw where things can only be happening when the audience is watching, and that IDW Sonic lacks side stories that are released seasonally. Give me main monthlies all about Sonic with 1-3 other characters and use side stories to expand the setting, set up potential threads that only Sonic and the mainline characters can deal with, and get the writer’s barely disguised fetish out of the way.
>constantly using money to put out one shots and mini series >cant dedicate a separate ongoing side series to focus on other characters than Sonic
Why? The idea is literally genius.
Now anons you are aware they've already made up in the background and garden gnomeel is acting as bait to prove Mimic is on the level or not. We'll have a crying session after he is caught red handed and quick flashback about how they talked to each other and came up with plan.
Lanolin is just the Knuckles of the Diamond Cutters >Always pissed off >Stubborn and headstrong >Gets tricked easily >Black-coded >Fights with her own friends at the drop of a hat >Assumes a leadership role despite having no qualifications
When you reduce this comic to characters they can't do anything with, and weepy OCs that aren't allowed to accomplish anything, it just feels like a lost cause to me.
Was Scrapnik Island a fluke?
Why pick Silver for this story? An actual inexperienced character like Charmy, Cream, or Tails would work better, not the guy who can benchpress mountains with his mind and has saved the world and go Super Saiyan. It would make more sense why Lanolin would be condescending to a child.
I know why Evan picked Silver, because Archie had a storyline where Silver was looking for a traitor and IDW is just Archie-lite. Also she seems to have a fetish for humiliating and emasculating him.
They picked Silver because he was the first person Whisper made friends with. Decide for yourself if this is their idea of exploring that friendship or an excuse to get people to stop asking about it.
The fact that Silver can benchpress mountains with his mind is the whole reason why it was him. Mimic prioritized getting rid of him because of his abilities. The plot required a character who's powerful enough to be dangerous, but inexperienced enough to get tricked like an idiot. Silver fit the requirements.
Also, Evan likes Silver and wants to write stories that involve him.
>constantly using money to put out one shots and mini series >cant dedicate a separate ongoing side series to focus on other characters than Sonic

Yeah, having an equivalent of Sonic Universe would be nicer. I'm struggling to keep track of all the comics outside the main series.
The more I think about it, the more I would've liked these issues if Whisper hadn't approached Silver. The dude's original shtick was jumping to conclusions and trying to kill Sonic all by himself, so it would be completely in-character for him trying to go overboard and attempt to expose Duo without any help. That way, Whisper isn't shown being the stupidest motherfucker alive because "Oh that sociopath that killed all my friends whose entire gimmick is pretending to be people he's not would NEVER hurt himself to keep up appearances now I'm gonna cry into my gf's tits AGAIN."
I just read the entire comic run about two days ago. I was wondering, why didnt they keep Mr. Tinker around for a bit longer? Seems like they introduced him and essentially killed him off the very next issue.
That's how most things in the comic are handled. They say it's because they can't change the status quo for more than one storyline at a time, but Duo makes that look bogus.
They could of always turned him back to Eggman, hell its what I would expect. I just wish they kept him around for a bit longer before doing so. Have Starline kidnap him at a later date and then turn him back into Eggman, you know?
Because it’s a stupid idea and I’m sick and tired of writers trying to make Eggman sympathetic because they misunderstood his motivations at the end of SA2. The whole schtick with Sage in Frontiers is egregious.
>Silver literally saves everyone by dumping the metal virus into the sun >Literally everyone owes their life to him >Unanimously voted off the team because some new guy fell off a chair >Even voted off by the one who put him up to all this
How come everyone other then Silver gets a second chance?
I always viewed it as Starline being heavily into Theatrics, hell he basically reveals that in issue 23. Imagine you spent a good chunk of your life reading and learning about your favorite hero, copying their mannerisms and basing your life on them. Its no wonder that Starline is very flamboyant, so is Eggman. Hell Eggman is even more flamboyant, but no one is saying he is gay.
next character to cry is confirmed gay (it will be Rough after Cream tells him he is not nice and that hurts his feefees do you feel sad for him yet viewer)
All inclusive media does this and I am not sure why. Look at almost any modern woke representation additions and they are almost always stereotypes. Here's a great example.
>Loud house Clydes gay dads
Antiquing, tandem biking, overly clingy, crying regularly, overprotective, and their son goes to therapy.
Almost all the lesbians in cartoons right now are butch stereotypes or short haired punks.
Almost everything about modern representation has gone several steps backwards
We went from "just because somebody is like this doesn't mean that they're x" to "HOLY SHIT THIS CHARACTER HAS A SINGULAR TRAIT LIKE THIS THAT MEANS THEY'RE Y"
>constantly using money to put out one shots and mini series >cant dedicate a separate ongoing side series to focus on other characters than Sonic
Why? The idea is literally genius.
The skunks. They already proved them selves to be the best with the Egg Pyramid one-off, just let them have a whole series of being bumbling idiots. Make it so that things they fuck up have to be fixed later in the series, or have them slowly become anti-villains after being pushed around by bigger villains while still being so dumb they fuck things up for everyone else or anything really. Don't really care what happens with them, they just need to save this comic from crying lesbian friends
The original Diamond Cutters.
Give them each some character and make me care that Mimic killed them. Plus it would let me see Whisper before she became a broken wreck and empathize with her more in the present.
She's more or less their sibling as well since Starline used her programming to create them, and unlike Metal, they actually have a conscious and capable of feeling emotions.
The restoration is never going away and theres a good reason for it to exist. Eggman is always going to cause trouble and break shit and someone has to clean it up
Probably for the best, if Eggman put a soul in metal then metal would probably eventually turn against him.
Metal Overlord is canon in IDW. The best story option with Metal is also the worst one. It would be a rip-off of SMBZ where Metal tries to pull Heroes again, but also attempts to supplement his “evolution” with Chaos energy. After all, if Metal is the real Sonic, and the fake Sonic can use Chaos Control, then why can’t he?
No shit? Goes to show how well my memory is holding on to that “boss battle” since I remember it as a snooze fest spamming the team attack button and nothing more.
Post her feet right now
She's so cute nothing she could ever do would make me dislike her, though.
Knuckles can't leave Angel Island.
Shadow's restrictions are even more strict.
You gays dont get to complain about knuckles on his island because you also complain when hes fucking not on it too
And there are still "people" that simp over her because big sheep knockers.
What a blad character.
*bland
I mean, I can understand them simping on porn boards like on /trash/, she's hot and the headcanons of some Anons who like her have good ideas. Also, I'll be sure to draw more of her getting her ass kicked when I'm done with this irl stuff. She's cute when her back is against the wall.
Thanks, and good art
got any more?
needs more correction.
Ryonafags please face the wall.
At least they do what the comic doesn't so lets get back to the boring gay crap you all love.
She has bigger tits than Rouge that's her only appeal.
I wonder how ABT feels knowing the only attribute his ascended OC is known for are her huge boobs.
Given he's drawn literal porn... I bet he just doesn't give a shit
You know what the funniest part is?
She's only a thing because the fans made such a big deal out of her. It's literally the fan's fault she happened.
Her becoming a character wasn't the problem
Being a bossy bitch was
It's called tempting fate.
Nah, it's just called shitty writing and wasted potential.
IDW Sonic can only write girlbosses.
ah
I'm more mad at her somehow being powerful enough to manhandle Whisper and Silver.
Silver without his psychic powers gets mollywopped by EVERYONE. He's not that strong and the only strong Silver is from Archie comics.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/4sQZFaPyRFU
Both get clapped by Metal Sonic and Tails and freaking AMY ROSE.
>and the only strong Silver is from Archie comics.
Manhandled by Sonic with ease.
so was the game one. Game one also lost a fight to several other characters in the rivals games.
Archie Sonic is even more ridiculously strong
He wasn't doing anything wanked in that scene. Just grabbed him and ran to the hospital while smacking him about.
Yet gets BTFO by a normie skunk.
Yeah, and if you chop off Mike Tyson's arms, he's actually a pretty shitty boxer.
Great argument.
He can still bite dumbass
Ah I see, running away eh?
I don't think biting is scored favorably in boxing.
You could say you'd get an earful for it
hl
CARLOOOOOOS!
what about Sonic 900
It was fine. Wish they ended up on Scrapnik Island like one of the covers teased. Still the most interesting thing about this book
Is the Sonic comic even about Sonic? Everything I see about it is random OCs
This doesn't really seem that difficult to write around
It's not. Barnes said he had no notes come back for Scrapnik.
A lot of fans are just stupid, anon.
Fans are stupid.
The IDW staff are retarded. They can't write around some pretty basic outlines that aren't that offensive. Seeing how much Tangle and Whisper cry in this book, I'm glad that fucking mandate exists.
The Sonic Boom show had Knuckles try to put a baby in a blender
Everything after Eggperial City is side characters. for 2023.
>Silver: Claims he got abandoned and someone witnesses him getting kicked by Duo and almost dies from a giant metal fish.
>"Now now- don't get mad. It was an accident."
>Duo: Fake falls 3ft from the ground off a chair Silver lifted to try and confront him on his actions
>"GASP! HOW DARE YOU! OFF THE DIAMOND CUTTERS!"
Silver was a diversity hire because garden gnomeel was complaining they didn't have enough dick representation.
Little wonder he got fired first chance they could.
It is aggression, anon. All this could have been avoided if Whisper actually talked things through.
Exactly at no point did it feel like whisper was going kill mod even with duo as she just wanted to grab him. But lanolin just wanted to act tough and threw whisper who should be her superior. Also add on to this that silver saw the eye change and almost died why defend duo so much.
At least most of my hate of whisper and tangle is they are around to much.
someone turn this bitch into lambchops
>Muh helpless sheep
Nah she's just a bitch
Silver has no idea how good he got it to get away from the cancer OC cast.
She's going to be forgiven. All parties involved will apologize and we'll move on to the next boring arc.
The diamond cutters are literally like 4 people as of now. You'd think if half your fucking team is so sketched out by the new guy they're willing to fight you over it, you'd start to be a little concerned about said new guy.
Lanolin is their leader and they have to do everything she commands.
I know because she cried last arc until they all agreed to.
That was so fucking stupid. The whole diamond cutters team is such a moronic idea.
Lanolin deserves to be shaven clean for all that bullshit.
Done.
>New character enters the story
>Immidiatly starts acting as everyones' boss
Okay, kind of a bad idea but—
>Becomes a direct obstacle against the long established heroes exposing something the audience directly knows is true
>Is only an obstacle thanks to the "leadership" role they were handed
They want readers to be frustrated at her.
The problem is they're making the audience annoyed more at the story than the character.
Also
>Soleanna mention
what
I thought Sega wanted to nuke the existence of Sonic '06
No. They've been referencing and retreading that game for years.
Well that's stupid
Silver still shows up, so they obviously never did.
I have only read the classic side story shit for IDW and from the looks of it i doubt i missed much by snobbing the main story
I feel like the twist will be that Lanolin is the mimic.
Every game character should say this in response to hearing about a comic OC. Every time.
Would that potentially be the twist, that they all (well, the Cutters anyway) wanted Mimic to feel like he's fooled them all or something?
bro that's two thirds of your whole team! Literally every subordinate who's been on a mission with this dude so far
Ok, so we just kicked out our potentially most powerful, loyal and experienced member out of the team, who do we replace him with?
>Oh, I know! That green spiky girl and that little blue kid with a backpack look nice! Hey guys, wanna join our elite task force?
>so...what do you guys usually do?
>we go on hikes looking super serious, then when we come back we eat cheetos and cry
Funny how it works both ways.
People freaking out at the slightest conflict will never not be annoying like chill out, she just doesn't know and that's it, she's pretty new and unaware of this Mimic stuff
The New Diamond Cutters are fucking retarded they should have just stayed a club of friends and not be treated as a serious commando unit this book is dumb.
emotional abuse is a deadlier battlefield than any war, chud. Lanolin is a soldier.
Lanolin did nothing wrong to reacting the way she did.
>Silver kicked
>Wisper so convinced duo is mimic she was willing to fight the "boss"
>tangle will do whatever whisper says and is just as impulsive, if not more
The "Diamond Cutters" are boutta be lanolin and 4 randos by the next issue, mark my words.
Even if Mimic loses his disguise, he is still a murderer and there are several civilians in the place.
I think it is justified.
Then it was very shortsighted of them to entrench the entirety of the comic's world in a game that was always a weird outlier in the series.
Who was expecting the next Sonic game to need 5 years to come out?
Valid point. But it doesn't look like new projects are effecting the comics at all, so it just feels like this entire thing is stiol promoting a five year old game even with shit like Forces and Prime to bounce off of.
What is the problem with the setting per se? It has animal people populate the world and old abandoned Eggtech and bases scattered across it. Its fairly open setting, so I don't really see the alternative that people yearn for.
The setting isn't the problem. People blame the lack of interesting stories on it for some reason.
Forces is a completely hollow world with boring characters and no details or continuity.
I mean they're doing that. Last issue and this issue show Blaze on vacation. The problem is nothing interesting happens there either.
And they showed a Spagonia that inexplicably exists in *REDACTED* despite zero worldbuilding to establish any location that isn't from Forces.
For me? It's just an excuse to rehash Freedom Fighters.
Doesn't Potto hate doing the classic stories?
I would not be surprised given his raging hard on for Mega Man X despite Capcom slapping away that request. Classic probably requires more restraint on serious businesses stories because of how Sega advertises it as light hearted.
despite Sonic's new success we're in this weird where everything under the right contract has to be as safe as possible the only thing that isn't is the movies and honestly they've been a bit better for it.
>It has to be as safe as possible!
It really doesn't.
It really does. Ken Penders made sure of that with the mess he made of Archie and subsequently suing Sega over Sonic Chronicles because he thought Bioware was ripping him off.
It really doesn't.
Sega doesn't force them to write boring stories.
Bioware was ripping him off tho
Scrapnik Island was good outside of the one preaching panel. I don't know why we don't get more good and well paced short stories like that one.
god i wish sage died
honestly i liked sonic just telling mecha to shut up and was fine with his mini speech due to the circumstances
the only thing i dont like is how mecha knuckles literally had nothing for the entire thing
>Whisper crying
Everyone drink a shot.
Neither of these characters are what they were introduced as anymore and somehow keep eating up pages without actually doing anything.
Uuuu Tangle I pooed the bed again
UUUUU TANGLE I'M SAD
>Mimic wouldn't hurt himself to trick us. He'd murder everyone in cold blood but he wouldn't do that.
The absolute state of IDW lesbian logic.
Hahaha so stupid.
I'd like to remind the readers that Tamers12345 also had a shapeshifting plot episode and the antagonist was found out even after leaving a decoy.
To be fair that was only because the shapeshifter wasn't a pedophile
Am I imagining things, or is Tangle only high-functioning whenever it comes to comforting Whisper's trauma?
This is just too in-your-face about the characters acting irrationally. It HAS to be a trick to get Mimic's guard down.
This reinforces my belief that Whisper is the team bimbo pretending to be the stoic killer. She pretends to be serious but an Aqua song is playing in her head 24/7.
Couldnt they just give him an Xray? Mimic has no bones since he's an octopus, right?
>massive PTSD from all of her friends being murdered by another friend
>HURR DURR WHY DIS DUM BITCH SAD.
Ouch. She needs to eat gallons of ice cream to feel better.
I need more fat crying wolves in my life.
Just because it's realistic doesn't make it interesting reading. Whisper does nothing but cry.
Why am I supposed to care about this sheep? I knew why I was supposed to care about half the Archie OCs. Why the hell should I care about this IDW one?
Why were you supposed to care about the Archie OCs?
Because some of them were actually fun and interesting.
Everyone is a fucking war vet at this point because of Forces but nobody acts like it not even the so called soldiers
Maybe because all they did was get mashed up by Infinite.
So it's weird even if you isolate the original characters from this comic.
>leaves out the part where even fucking TAILS approved of a plan knuckles threw together in a few minutes
Did the trauma of seeing Sonic getting his ass kicked give him brain damage??
Why does being a dumb war reenactment larper have to be an aspect of Knuckle's character now? It carried over to Forces too. It doesn't even mesh with him being a loner.
Because Forces is badly written.
Bully women
When can we get Cooler Belle in the comics?
Why would you even want that? They'd find a way to fuck her up too
Because she'd give someone else for sonic to fight. Wouldn't have to worry about her just turning good guy and unlike metal she is capable of planning out robust strats beyond run and job.
Hell this is probably the best time with gay duck gone and the game still active. Just do a "Go Play Frontiers to learn more!" for her turning up.
>and unlike metal she is capable of planning out robust strats beyond run and job
yeah her strats and cry and job
Crying when sacrificing yourself for greater good and keeping it to credits> Crying because someone said diamond and your tummy hurt.
she's intentionally made as unlikable so you can write rape fics about her
Knuckles and Lanny are star crossed lovers <3
Read the most recent issue
She's a breedable cunt and I hope she's the next OC to be put in a stockade for public use
She looks like she shrinks human boys.
>All that shit
Anyway, people say she's another Sally is because she's a commander of a rag tag squad against Eggman. She also is not really strong or important besides pointing at things for stronger characters to attack.
>has a realistically depicted panic attack from reading the thread about her
Mods.
>the male OCs are based
>the female OCs are cringe
what did IDW mean by this
Male OCs are villains. Females are good. This comic is anti male trash. If I wanted to see anti male trash that's what Disney and Universal media is for. To hell with Sega for allowing this. I dream of the day where not even the yakuza can keep Sega alive and the company dies and their properties are bought by Namco or Nintendo.
>gay duck who died a failure
>Surge’s simp
>generic crime boss
>shapeshifter who nearly got found out on the first day on the job, and is only successful due to the ineptitude of dykes
Rough and Tumble are the only good OCs in the comic, mostly due to them sucking is a feature not s bug.
I mean, to be fair, the gay duck and his creations sucking is also a feature.
Why is everyone built to suck so fucking hard?
They're also built to fuck
That goes for all Sonic characters
Is it? Listening to Ian’s podcast and he seems to believe Surge is a genuine threat despite doing nothing to indicate that in-book. Maybe you can say he’s just playing marketeer and trying to hype up the book but he’s giving people the wrong impression of these characters if that’s it.
Give me back Finitevus.
>Give me back Zachary.
FTFY
>Give me back Scratch and Grounder
FTFY
>Give me back bivalve.
>created by Karl Bollers
>Karl Bollers also says that he owns the characters he created
yeah that's not going to happen
Why is Karl on the same autism as Penders? Archie isn't Image you have no claim to licenced comic creations.
Penders' case established the legal precedent. Bollers owns his work, as does Gallagher, as does everyone else, even Ian. Ian now owns whatever characters he created himself in pre-reboot, like Thrash. They don't need to have argued for that ownership, Penders in effect did it for them.
That fucking sucks
Good
It would be based if Rough and Tumble became the Spopovich and Yamu of Sonic and ryona'd one of the girl bosses so hard she got corrected into a tradwife.
>gay duck who died a failure
He's funny though because literally everyone hated him and he didn't give a fuck
>Surge’s simp
I like autists
>generic crime boss
Clutch is based and fills a niche
>shapeshifter who nearly got found out on the first day on the job, and is only successful due to the ineptitude of dykes
He's okay
>Rough and Tumble are the only good OCs in the comic
They're the best, can't argue with that.
>he’s literally has done nothing of value.
Lanolin's journey started a useless villager, more than anyone she would take his side.
Lanolin is still a useless villager. She just assumed the role of boss one day and everyone just went along with it for some reason.
She rocked Whisper's shit and crushed several badniks. She's already more competent than the average furry in Sonic.
The average furry didn't even exist in this continuity until Forces, so this isn't really a big win.
I meant in the context of the comic
Yes, the context of the comic is it takes place after Forces.
Whisper hasn't really done anything impressive, even compared to the player character in Forces.
First off Whisper stalemated with her, second of all she’s a weapon specialist not a hand-to-hand fighter. And don’t act like destroying badniks means anything, even that background character from issue one can do that.
Lol this reminds me of pam from the office. Lanolin is the only asshole in their world who lied her way into a job She's me forreal
Shes always been a cunt we just couldnt hear her over her tits.
You all bitch about the comic, so pitch a 10 pager like today's Blaze and Silver story. Except good.
>Blaze and Sonic are off to see Silver and bring him some lunch.
>Silver is chilling in his garden
>Blaze and Silver chat, Sonic interrupts.
Inoffensive and not terribly interesting, but an improvement.
I mean it's an 8 page side story, anything is better than two characters standing in a garden talking to each other about how they like each other.
Yeah.
The writers are burned out of ideas. There's no motivation to tell any interesting stories when at any time some illiterate Japanese could get offput by the location of Sonic's eyebrows and tell the creators to do it all over from the beginning.
>Get told his brow is wrong
>Rewrite story so Sonic's eyes are closed
This kind of shit is candy if you enjoy writing.
"Candy"?
Yeah.
A treat.
It's a treat to be told to do something all over again without pay?
>Get paid to shitpost when you're told something stupid.
Yes. Have you never done this stuff before?
A joke is only funny if I get it.
That's cool.
So it would be a treat to get "UHHHM SONIC'S LEFT BUTT CHEEK IS WRONG???" and send back "okay, he's stuck in a wall for half the issue so nobody can see his ass."
Imagine having fun writing.
But how's the audience supposed to figure that out
Your job is to make it funny. I think Sonic getting stuck in a wall is pretty funny.
That said, that's not what you asked before. You said
>It's a treat to be told to do something all over again without pay?
and I replied
>>Get paid to shitpost when you're told something stupid.
Glad we're all cleared up. Can't wait for the next moved goalpost so you can keep pretending stupid guidelines isn't a boon for someone who actually enjoys writing and is working on a cartoon adventure book.
The Japs don't have senses of humor.
They see a filthy gaijin defy their orders and they order them to do it over again properly.
I don't suppose you have any real life examples? Names can be changed to protect the innocent.
Commonly known?
"Masturbation doesn't exist in the DC universe." and writers tiptoed around it for a long time.
Me?
Being told a character couldn't be in a scene so I went "ok" and made a new character who was basically the same guy show up and he never appeared or was mentioned again. It was really funny.
It sucks on a serious book, but if you're doing comedy or cartoons and aren't stuck up your own ass, stupid notes are fun. Most of the time they just want *a* change, not a meaningful one. Especially if it's not coming from your editor.
I've never done anything at IDW, so don't ask.
>Being told a character couldn't be in a scene so I went "ok" and made a new character who was basically the same guy show up and he never appeared or was mentioned again. It was really funny.
Did he talk or interact? Or was he just there in some Monty Python esque way?
He got a name-drop for plausible deniability but was nearly identical to the other character and didn't do shit except say a thing. At least a few people boggled at it so that's good enough for me.
Nice, I would love to write trollish stories like that.
Thanks for the advice.
I'm not exactly successful, so take my advice with some salt. It sure made work more fun, though.
Hey, no point taking life too seriously, it's not like we're getting out alive.
Oh, and comic up are Steve and Bill's anniversary, be sure to draw a page of their OCs Whisper and Tangle making out by this weekend
>unlikeable cunt
So is really is the new Sally then?
What powers does Sonic have that Shadow and Silver don't have?
Plot armor
Rape
Hyper form.
Unironically the power of friendship
Twitterchuds whippinp up damage control for this whore, lol
sheep tits didnt do much wrong in the situtation. shitver and shitsper shills seething
>Inb4 sheep is also a traitor
Worse, she already admitted she was incompetent and formed the team out of desperation.
Team Diamond Scissors are just incompetent the whole way around.
These writers really think a character being pathetic is endearing, huh?
Nah it's just a reminder that women are pathetic and need male t̶a̶r̶d̶ ̶w̶r̶a̶n̶g̶l̶e̶r̶s̶ leaders
I think Starline was supposed to be male and he was still a horrible leader and overall pathetic.
This seems to be an issue with almost every IDW OC.
>Writers
They literally established Whisper has video playback in her mask during the W&T miniseries. This is the definition of a forced, needless conflict.
Just pray that's intentional and they're all baiting Mimic.
You're not supposed to remember this.
You're also not supposed to remember that the franchise exists beyond Sonic Forces.
That too.
A human? What the fuck is that?
...why are they all female?
You naughty little harem boy, you.
Ironically, they remembered the events of the 2019 annual and referenced that in the Blaze and Silver half of this issue. So I can only hope what
said is true, otherwise this is possibly the worst example of this trope I have ever seen.
>character is anything but nice to other characters
>people hate them
Yes anon, everyone should get along at all times.
She’s being a Karen for no reason. Who the fuck gets into a fight over a newbie who has been in your team for one literal day?
Some people are just karens Anon.
>Who the fuck gets into a fight over a newbie who has been in your team for one literal day?
This is a logical course of action, and it was reinforced by Mimic's acting.
Why would you keep him around when all he’s done so far is drive the team apart?
it's probably because whisper was the one to raise a hand against her first
embarrassing
Whisper gave her a nudge to move aside. Lanolin was the one who escalated things into an actual fight.
She grabbed her arm, if you're trying to convince someone to believe you it wouldn't be wise to start shit like that.
You’re a sheltered person aren’t you?
You might yourself. Both Silver and Whisper acted too impulsively which made it easy for Mimic to act like a weak puppy.
She's defending him out of her own vanity. She wants Whisper to defer to her as the leader so it pisses her off she's doing something without asking Lanolin for permission
Basically. Wish it leaned into that.
I think Lanoline is throwing a fit because she wants to be in control or at least notified and is making this shit the hill to die on.
Is it really hard to comprehend that someone would want to bat for a seeming rookie who you haven't seen do anything wrong? The autism is strong here.
>it is... le autism!
Your coworkers hate you btw
How fluffy do you think her bush is?
Did anyone storytime the new chap yet
Storytime thread just died.
that was just for 900 anon, unless did that special comic drop instead of 64?
That thread storytimed 64 too
Damn, I wanted to dicuss. Damn me for not being interested in none main story comics
I may need to check /sthg/ haven't been there since surge's arc wonder how they're taking lanolin and the diamond cutters.
>none main story comics
lol what main story? The comic has been nothing but nothingburgers for a while now
yeah but I actually like the dumb side stories and like to hate on the diamond scissorer's as a thread. Like blaze and sonic hanging was fun
someone did 64 in the same thread
They did both comics in that thread.
Dunno which thread /sthg/ storytimed them in. Can you find it on the archive?
Give me back my Archie Sonic. Give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back give it back
I miss Archie too, but can you stop embarassing yourself and the others who like it, please?
I would rather die than stop demanding the return of what's been stolen from me.
Life isn't worth living. If you can't give me back my continuity then just kill me right here and now.
I don't have an assault rifle to go shooting up innocent bystanders with.
I miss Neo jobber
When did you drop IDW anon?
Eggperial arc. That was total shit
I can't remember what was happening in the story. That's what made dropping it so easy.
I only got into Sonic comics in the last year. I went through all of IDW and a lot of Archie but I've already dropped IDW because it's boring and the takes on the characters are terrible. Even their own characters become shit over time.
When I learned what was stolen from me.
Whenever Tangle and Whisper started crying (again) after being made invisible I just couldn't take it anymore.
Someone needs to make a compilation of every time those two have teared up.
It's a bit out of date now
Hey, I made that! Let's just give a little update.
I legit forgot belle existed
we all did
Why writters believe making women cry all the time is character development or a good character trait at all?
That's extremely stereotypical by the way, imagine making a male character who's angry all the time because he's a man?
Or a fat character who thinks about food 24/7...
How does the wooden puppet even cry? If there is a water reservoir in there for crying does that mean that eventually she wont be able to cry anymore?
why did mister tinker even give her the ability to cry??
Because mister tinker was a bad guy the whole time and wanted his creations to suffer
Honestly, probably just to make her as lifelike as possible.
Fandom culture was a mistake.
Remember how good the Egg Golem's entrance was 22 years ago?
Yeah...
If they couldn't afford to make an enemy model, they still could have done something better than "my power level is huge, my cock is huge."
>Sonic fans are just sick and tired of everything in this series being stale and boring.
and yet Twitter is on fire with how much everybody loved both of the latest issues because of shipping alone.
Twitter is full of brainrots who clap at anything with a lesbian pairing no matter how well/poor it's written. More news at 11.
When after all her build up Surge made literally no impact, and even when she got her power up did absolutely nothing. Made me realize that this comic isnt really worth reading, the characters I actually care about arent actually at risk ever and no threat can really ever happen properly to em.
Basically immediately after the neo metal shit
Haven't yet.
Midway into Metal Virus
After Neo, what a fucking waste
Sonazefags are literally on suicide watch
i love ship wars so much bros
>Sonazefags are literally on suicide watch
good
I love how the silvaze bait is a forced interaction that drags blaze down as it always does
>She's an unlikeable cun
Let me guess; she had a negative emotion and'or took charge of a situation and it upset your fragile male ego because you can't stand the idea of a woman asserting herself?
No, she's falling for the badguy's shitty tricks and is antagonizing the heroes over it.
It's actually not a chud reaction this time. She's just being a retard.
What does it say?
>Cat
>["Addicted to human semen."]
Is it safe to say Lanolin is going to replace Belle as the most hated OC?
No, Belle still gives me trauma flashbacks to another giant waste of my life and sanity.
Nope.
I don’t really thinks anyone hates Belle, more ambivalent to her, especially now that she’s been completely replaced by Sage and the story is no longer focusing on her.
People actually hate Lanolin. Her personality is actually repulsive instead of being bland. Her only appeal is coom.
I hate Belle and I hate Sage.
Care to elaborate?
Well I hate belle for all the dumb bullshit we had to endure with her. I hate Sage for ruining Eggman forever with the daddy bullshit. sage is the far worse out of the two.
>ruining Eggman forever with the daddy bullshit
Opinions on ADAM and M?
Fuck off back to
I give them sort of a pass since its a different canon and for the fact eggman killed M the second he thought he was a threat to her lol. Something eggman would def do, but with sage, we wont ge her verbally abusing her or worse at all. something he did to every creation of her before but i guess she gets a pass.
Belle is useless.
Sage is written by Ian Flynn.
>Her personality is actually repulsive instead of being bland
Why do you hate lanolin so much? is her personality that bad?
She's Sally without any of the goodwill, charisma or attractiveness. Or any reason to see her as irreplacable.
True I'm not a fan but wanted the reason. I mean it was weird how she automatically can boss characters like whisper around, shit fuck that how can she boss silver around. If all the diamond cutters came at silver at once he'd rekt them. How can some powerless rookie boss around a old guard. I guess she's garden gnomeel but always in our face, at least garden gnomeel is meek and humble so she's too irrelevant to hate.
can't wew just hate them both. I want to turn lanolin into lamb chops and i'll use belle to cook em..
Wait, Issue 64 dropped? No storyline?
and
I think Lanolin is a Jezebel hussy
Even if the whole world turns on her... I will always love her...
>archietist thread
Because they apparently don't read them we need to get Ian and Evan to read Sonic Channel stories so they write the characters better.
I skimmed the issue, this feels like some shit out of MLP: Friendship is Magic
Close but wrong Faust show. It actually reminds me of the Bendy episode of Foster’s Home for imaginary friends.
My friend literally sent me this pic saying it sums up the whole story
If IDW was a comedy this episode would be hilarious
>Mimic doing increasingly fucked up things and pinning it all on Silver and Whisper and Lanolin berates and punishes the fuck out of them because no matter what they do they cannot prove it
>Also Lanolin is a redhead and has sex with Charmy
Nothing's stopping them from doing the first part.
Also, that's more of a Craig MgCracken show than hers
Anyone kinda hate some of the bitching and mindset against comic originals? Just saying this now, I do have my own problems with the idw characters, but I kinda see this weird hate for them just having any sort of spotlight.
Even if they were 10/10 characters, theres just his inherent autism of them even daring to exist in autists minds.
like
>story with just game ocs or big part of a story
ok
>story with just comic originals or big part of a story
At least Charmy is 6 and not supposed to be stoic.
That's a fandom thing. Most people don't care about that.
I see people like Starline, the rat pimp, Zavok, and the Stunks more than the good guy characters, that stupid robo waifu, and that stupid robo simp.
Really says a lot about how forgettable Lost World was when Zavok gets lumped in with comic OCs.
Eggman has never been depicted as honestly thinking he's helping. He's just not a sadist.
I agree that having ultra-edgy villains combined with Loser Heroes is annoying, but you can have villains who are menacing without being OTT edgy.
Take the Rogues from The Flash. They're all a lot of fun, and I can take them more seriously as villains than edgy powerless losers like Mimic.
If only
Clutch is fine, they just use him terribly.
The comic doesn't want to make villains that undermine Eggman.
Give me main monthlies all about Sonic with 1-3 other characters and use side stories to expand the setting, set up potential threads that only Sonic and the mainline characters can deal with, and get the writer’s barely disguised fetish out of the way.
shut up
Now anons you are aware they've already made up in the background and garden gnomeel is acting as bait to prove Mimic is on the level or not. We'll have a crying session after he is caught red handed and quick flashback about how they talked to each other and came up with plan.
I wish she had dopey eyes, even if they aren't those eyes.
Incel cope.
Just admit you hate women and move on.
Hi Evan!
Lanolin did nothing wrong.
Lanolin is just the Knuckles of the Diamond Cutters
>Always pissed off
>Stubborn and headstrong
>Gets tricked easily
>Black-coded
>Fights with her own friends at the drop of a hat
>Assumes a leadership role despite having no qualifications
>black-coded
Fucking how?
He raps
Wooly hair
...she's a fucking sheep you retard, what would you expect?
Nappy ass hair.
Uppity
Quick to anger
Afro hair
Listens to music that rhymes
High blood pressure
Fat ass
>Black-coded
Just because she's a bossy bitch with a little bit of attitude doesn't make her black coded.
He's asking about the sheep with the four-leaf clover hair.
Only Knuckles is likable.
>Knuckles
>black-coded
Elaborate
He has dreadlocks and listens to rap music, so twitter assumed he was black without noticing the hilarious irony of such a statement.
it was a thing before twitter, zoom zoom
Let's never forget "coded" is just the new word for stereotype.
Yeah, but I blame the faulty lighting of SA2B that made both his and Rouge's muzzle darker as the biggest instigator
You're forgetting that the English manuals made him Reggae
He had a Jamaican accent in the strategy guide, and his shoes were designed after the Rastafarian flag.
We should mass mail IDW with better ideas than what they're doing.
They'll fuck them up.
Knuckles is a echidna yet everyone just knows
Yeah, but at least there were more reasons to believe that than his hair.
Go back to Twitter and stay there.
Knux called her a literally who
He has brain damage and forgot, please be nice
to be fair, not even sonic knew who the fuck she was lol
The contrast between her as a cutie in this page and as a bitch in the recent issue is insane.
she needs to be re-humbled. by my cock
Yeah yeah yeah....but did her tits get bigger?
Her tits have always been big, the question is... how big has ABT been able to get away with in each panel?
Sage would be great for constantly pointing out the flaws in Eggman's plans but he never listens.
I'm a bit surprised it's lasted this long.
IDW is garbage that is written by and for tumblr users
When you reduce this comic to characters they can't do anything with, and weepy OCs that aren't allowed to accomplish anything, it just feels like a lost cause to me.
Was Scrapnik Island a fluke?
Oh, deletefag was here.
Who?
>replying to a tripfag
shiggy diggy
Some guy who only whines and complains about IDW titles, particularly the woman in them.
Then his posts get deleted, either by a mod or by himself because...who the fuck knows.
When is silver gonna stop being a cute, clumsy, lil cinnamon roll who hangs out with these lesbians all day
Literally never because that's how Twitter sees him and these comics pander to that
Why does no one care about that dumbass bell attached to her neck? Wouldn't that make an insufferable amount of noise every time she moves?
Mimic needs his own obsessed Yume that self inserts as Lanolin
IDW sucks because she isn't featured more
/thread
she's not even a character. literally just a reference to another series.
and?
member berries aren't a substitute for actual substance
that and you only care about her because lol girl
Big knockers are though
Madonna will never love me...
I'm just a man...
Not a hog...
>member berries aren't a substitute for actual substance
This, just remove all classic characters
this unironically, fuck superstars and it's half-assed nostalgiafagging.
Anon, there's no harm in having Honey
Team AM2!
Most of the series right now is loaded with member berries you dolt
and it sucks because of it
WOWZA IS THAT FREAKIN' HONEY THE CAT FROM THE HIT ARCADE GAME SONIC THE FIGHTERS?!? BASED IAN DOES IT AGAIN!
The Controversial Cat
Why does anyone even care about a character who wasn't even in her "debut" game?
Because we can
Fair enough I guess, but i just don't get it.
I think lanolin's design looks like dogshit tbdesu. Its hard carried by the fact she has comically huge tits.
Can't change the status quo with game characters.
>Silver literally saves everyone by dumping the metal virus into the sun
>Literally everyone owes their life to him
>Unanimously voted off the team because some new guy fell off a chair
>Even voted off by the one who put him up to all this
How come everyone other then Silver gets a second chance?
Because silver is shit
Do you think Evan is aware of how she's making the gay coded characters cry all the time? Why does she think that shit is good
>gay coded characters
I haven't noticed any gay coded characters.
He hasn't cried but Starline? He's incredibly flamboyant and his admiration for Eggman is easy to read as outright love.
We went from "just because somebody is like this doesn't mean that they're x" to "HOLY SHIT THIS CHARACTER HAS A SINGULAR TRAIT LIKE THIS THAT MEANS THEY'RE Y"
>constantly using money to put out one shots and mini series
>cant dedicate a separate ongoing side series to focus on other characters than Sonic
Why? The idea is literally genius.
Yeah I don't get why they don't bring a universe esque spinoff back, that shit was some of the best parts of archie.
If you could focus on any side character to get an actual six issue side series, who would it be?
I would go for Orbot and Cubot personally.
The Scrapniks, just on their own, without Sonic or that shit. Their interactions were cute
Does she have some barrier/reflect special ability, or did some anon make that up?
Belle was made to be a feeling robot. A robot who will bring joy and peace to the world...
I think she can even fix surge and kit
>I think she can even fix surge and kit
Nah, she is made to fix metal sonic
Belle can’t fix Metal, that’s Sage’s job.
But Sage won't fix him, she'll only enable him.
I am just saying, it seems like the writers are starting to lay a bit of groundwork to build towards that.
There is nothing to fix with my son. He is perfect in every way. Except when he jobs...
Can't fix crazy
Can't fix perfection.
I miss this based retard like you wouldn't believe
>surge and kit
FIXED
>metal sonic
FIXED
>rough and tumble
FIXED
>mimic
FIXED
>starline
DEAD
this is your comic in 2025
She's more or less their sibling as well since Starline used her programming to create them, and unlike Metal, they actually have a conscious and capable of feeling emotions.
i wonder when people are going to finally accept and admit on how lanolin had no real character before hand and just mad she isnt want they wanted
The Restoration is the real problem.
Lanolin is a symptom of it
The restoration is never going away and theres a good reason for it to exist. Eggman is always going to cause trouble and break shit and someone has to clean it up
Sonic's setting didn't need a janitor all the other times Eggman did something.
Metal was described as being Sonic but without his soul and heart
Do you believe that?
Probably for the best, if Eggman put a soul in metal then metal would probably eventually turn against him.
i think so, without either he doesn't desire the thrill of adventure or values freedom which is probably why he's loyal to eggman.
Metal Overlord is canon in IDW. The best story option with Metal is also the worst one. It would be a rip-off of SMBZ where Metal tries to pull Heroes again, but also attempts to supplement his “evolution” with Chaos energy. After all, if Metal is the real Sonic, and the fake Sonic can use Chaos Control, then why can’t he?
>then why can’t he?
He can? Overlord can use CC on you during the fight
No shit? Goes to show how well my memory is holding on to that “boss battle” since I remember it as a snooze fest spamming the team attack button and nothing more.
Smbz?
All I read is OC and cunt.
let's make another lanolin sucks thread
Can someone draw whisper's fat mommy milkers? Thanks
