The first 2 seasons were fricking fantastic. Then the execs began to stick their dicks on it and it gradually became worse and worse until it devolved into that moronic Slimer cartoon.
If you want to play it safe, watch every episode with the original intro and stop as soon you reach the part with the episodes that use the new intro.
On paper it's god awful. In practice it's better than it should have been thanks to very good writing.

Q5, Quarterly 5 entertainment consulted to make these changes to an uproariously popular show and tanked it. If ever the names of these consultants can be found…if they yet live they shall receive the reckoning of a rude, impolite, and insulting phone call.
It was fantastic until the network got a hold of it. Still, 75 or so episodes of mostly good shit is nothing to be ashamed of.
