Just set up a media server, you fricking brainlet.
explain.
If you can tie your shoes you can set up a plex server moron.
Ah you actually are one. Please lynch yourself.
>megus
ESL to boot.
Your player didn't support mkv or the video was encoded in a way the player can't decode.
>Your player didn't support mkv or the video was encoded in a way the player can't decode.
yea something like that. I just use plex now
Just use your laptop dumbshit.
>cares about what women think
the ultimate beta
just watch it on your laptop, jeez.
Get a BluRay player with a USB port
This.
>Can play DVDs and blu rays
>Has all the streaming apps built in
>Can play whatever files you want from an external drive
Fricking around with media servers is a waste of time and money in comparison.
havent used one in years but cant it tell you're trying to play mkv files aka pirated shit and deliberately not play them ?
I've not heard of that but mine definitely can't, I use a Sony BDP-S1700 that I got modded to be region free and it plays mkv files just fine
the last time I used one was probably a decade ago at this point but it did that.
Are you sure it just didn't support the codec you were using? x264 had only been out a few years at that point so it wouldn't surprise me if your player only support xvid at that point.
if I recall correctly I was trying to play mkv files
No idea, but I've got that exact same USB stick in my hand right now. Great mechanism to fidget around with, would recommend.
Watch it on your hacked psp.
Have any old shitty PC hooked up to TV with HDMI and watch anything you want. I do but for the most part I just watch on my PC monitor anyways.
plug it into the USB socket at the base of your spine. we installed it last week.
Just get a Vero 4K +
install plex
>need to pay for app
>need a plex plan
>need to upload your own shit
why have people been pushing plex its fricking stupid
You gotta pay? I don’t remember lol I’ve been using it for ages, can’t be much, I seem to recall a one time charge
anon is just a moron plex is still free
>need to pay for app
>need a plex plan
no you dont
you need to pay to unlock the iphone app
>iphone
kek theres your problem
>using the best phone is a """"problem""""
yeah no ill just keep using vlc file transfer to sync my kino
just loaded up megus xlr
>vlc
oh no no no no no no no no
Remind me again why you zoomer dumbfricks need to have movies on your phones?
if you hold the phone up to your face the screen is super big
when david lynch said movies dont belong on phones he was talking about the phones at the time which were like motorola razers
Please be trolling.
i am not
you dont need more then vlc for phone but thats an issue because """""Reasons""""
I dont watch stuff on my phone
>if you hold the phone up to your face the screen is super big
I'm not a zoomer and I dont watch movies on my phone. I do use plex though its great
>you cannot just watch kinos on the go
>you just cant okay
nerd
You can, it's just a worse experience in every single way.
(You) problem
Ah yeah that’s it, thanks anon
what alternative is there? I bet its not as easy to use/install or as feature-rich as Plex
If you're going to use an HDMI cable, then Kodi is more than enough. If you want a server, then Jellyfin.
Plex
dont fall for this bullshit. get jellyfin
As a lifetime plexpass user, why is Jellyfin any better?
Because it does the same thing, but it's free and open source
>open source
so ?
So chinese advertisers won't get to see your whole porn library
So as a lifetime Plexpass user there is is zero benefit
connect the hdmi cord from whatever computer you use to the tv. why is Cinemaphile so afraid of this
my flash drive just died the other day and became corrupted and will not read on any device now
why are these such shit?
just download h264, homosexual
>he doesn't have his computer plugged into his tv
ngmi
Build yourself a home server running Linux, have a decent RAID array which can take a few drive failures, install Jellyfin, buy a Chromecast for your TV, Install the Jellyfin client on your phone. Enjoy.
>Build yourself a home server
yes
>running Linux
no
>linux
EVERY SINGLE DAMN TIME YOU FRICKERS ARE JUST LOUD ANNOYING MINORITY FRICKED c**tS
are you moronic? 99% of the servers run linux, or in rare cases freebsd.
And this website uses macos on mac minis point being
point being that this site is a slow piece of shit and is down all the time
Just read the synopsis and play it in your head
Its called streaming bruh
I consoom on an 8 inch Amazon tablet. T-Mobile pays for my Netflix. Life is good.
>netflix
>good
The absolute state of people
>All these shitposts
>Not a single fricking answer
Seriously, anon, ask Cinemaphile
Cinemaphile is a zoo and freetards are the exhibits
just sit back and enjoy the free entertainment as brain dead incel freetard Black person virgins seethe, chimpout, and embarrass themselves for 500+ posts feeding the daily copypasta bait threads
KEK
ps4
universal media server hooked to your pc videos folder and the ps4
voila
never have this problem again
I use this but sometimes when I pause and then continue it "crashes" the video and need to start it again. Annoying
Get an NVIDIA shield and hook it up to the cheapest tv you can find. Its a great piece of kit
Just buy a $30 Android tv box
>install Plex
It's fricking free and works or more shit, also easy to setup remote streaming. Jellyfin is good if you don't need to watch stuff on your phone or plan on sharing your stuff.
You can use windows if your a drooling moron who likes his computer rebooting without there permission. I personally us Ubuntu server edition.
Get an ONN streaming box for $20 at Walmart. I install Plex.
That's it. If you can't set this it, your a sub human monkey.
If you are cool I'll and using TV Linux. Install docker containers of sonarr, radar, prowler and overseerr. They you will be cooking with a flamethrower.
literally any tv produced in the last 10 years should be able to do this
Maybe 5 years. x265 was only invented 9 years ago after all.
Best investment I ever made in that regard was a Firestick. Amazon Botnet, sure, but the VLC app plays all the files from the NAS or simple PC shared folders. The built in app on my "smart" tv was always a gamble with formats.
Plus, Youtube app with content tagging (skips ads, sponsor segments, intros, etc).
get a cheap android box. It can play everything and run apps like newpipe which will show youtube videos without ads.
What is Plex exactly? Can I stream pirated movies without much setup?
it's some garbage you shouldn't use
don't even search it
>download pirated movies
>download plex media server
>open plex media server
>tell plex which
>you can now watch all your pirated kino from any device that is on your network as long as it can download and use the plex app which exists for computers, smart tvs, game consoles, smartphones, roku/fire sticks/nvidia shieldpretty much anything modern
>plex also organizes your shit and gets metadata from the internet so your stuff instantly gets descriptions, trailers, cover art etc
there are a few catches but theyre not that bad
-if you want to watch (or listen, music is allowed as well) your kino from plex the machine that is running plex media server must be on
this is why people build computers or use laptops or NASs to have a device that is on 24/7 to run plex
- if you want to watch your kinos while you're away from your home network/on the go or invite people to your plex you need to pay for a "plex pass" it comes with other features as well. Plex pass is $5 USD Monthly, or $40 USD annually or you can get a lifetime pass aka a one time cost of $120 USD
-if you want hardware transcoding the device you use to run plex media server better have a good CPU
What? I stream off-network all the time and never dropped a penny on plex pass.
then tell me how you did it because I was under the impression you need a plex pass
Stop being a Black person who watches shit on the phone.
I swear I get blindsided with reality checks on this website so quickly. Half the website consists of phonegays that cannot afford a $400 bottom of the barrel laptop.
>tell plex which folders they are in*
>plex
Enjoy having your entire library tracked and info sold to advertisers
>onn steaming box, better is every way . Cheaper, easier to side load.
Sucking Bezos wiener these days? homosexual.
Friendly reminder that Piracy is wrong and illegal
I can't give Christ haters money. israelites are evil and IP laws are horse shit. You are not Christian if you pay israelites money to spread homosexuality. A real Christian seeds his torrents.
Okay israelite
>Piracy
piracy is a fricking meme, as it implies robbery aka the owners no longer being able to make use of the stolen asset. instead it's merely unauthorized usage
>hollywood israelites fear the NAS chad
Upfront cost is high if you're JUST pirating films, but there's a lot of upside to having one of these.
I have 2 external 3.5 inch drives and I wanna plex but I can't decide if I should get a NAS bay or get a mini pc and hard drive bays and just plug them in to the mini pc. I want to spend as little money as possible
VLC Player you pleb.
VLC(PC)-->HDMI cable-->TV
>Google “watch (movie or series) online free” on my phone
>hit the airplay button to stream to tv
Done. Have fun downloading your nerd viruses and spending time downloading shit to get letters from your ISP before they cut your internet off entirely and you go to jail morons lol
You're picking a tv for its built-in media player and not its ability to display signals from other devices? Do you intend to be constantly moving around flash drives instead of just pressing play?
That's really weird. No wonder you can't figure out how to have sex.
most new tvs already play that
