>WEBTOON and DC just announced the premiere dates for their latest collaborations—Red Hood: Outlaws and Zatanna & The Ripper.
>The two upcoming series are the latest titles to come out of the partnership between the two entertainment companies, which began in August 2021. Fans everywhere can read the new series exclusively on the WEBTOON platform, with Zatanna & The Ripper premiering first on July 11 and Red Hood: Outlaws launching on August 14. The release dates were announced at a panel at the Collision Conference in Toronto, which featured a discussion between WEBTOON's head of content David Lee and DC's editor-in-chief Marie Javins about the future of comics.
>The official synopsis for Zatanna & The Ripper, by writer Sarah Dealy and lead artist Syro, describes the magician's latest adventure as follows:
>Giovanni Zatara is one of the world's most talented magicians. His daughter Zatanna, on the other hand, is among the world's most powerful. On her 21st birthday, Zatanna witnesses a fight between her father and the sorceress Allura. Before Allura can get to his daughter, however, Giovanni blasts Zatanna far away-to London, England...in the 1800s. Zatanna tries to use her burgeoning magic to return home, but fails. What she can do, however, is pull things out of the future (and past). So her small, 19th century room is now filled with modern gadgets. It seems she'll be stuck forever until an old friend finds her—John Constantine. Recognizing him from her past—or her future, he tells her he knows how to get her home. They'll have to solve the Jack the Ripper murders. To make matters worse, Zatanna also quickly learns that she's among the Ripper's targets.
Zee looks good here. Hope Constantine synergizes with her without taking over the spotlight.
Also I hope they kiss.
Nice, I like they are picking Zatanna personal character stuff like her nemesis back then Allura
>WEBTOON describes the story of Red Hood: Outlaws, written by Patrick R Young with art by Nico Bascuñán, as follows:
>The Outlaws try to go legit—and fail spectacularly. The Justice League has issued a challenge to Red Hood, Artemis of Bana-Mighdall, and Bizarro, who have to try and replace their goody-two-shoe counterparts as the heroes the world neither deserves nor needs. In this original series, the Outlaws will battle some of DC’s biggest Super-Villains and Super Heroes—but their biggest battles are among themselves. Can this team last? And can they find their own identities separate from Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman?

Isn't Red Hood already in Batman webtoon? Why's he getting this?
Because DC finally realized that he sells.
Different supporting cast, different protagonist, and probably a less light-hearted tone than Wayne Family Adventures.
Outlaw bros, it's time.
I have my doubts with the writer

lmao, well there goes any hope of it being good. When will DC fricking learn.
That twitter feed literally gave me a headache, troon memes, seething about Johnny Deep
Who would Jason be bi to?
Slade, Dick, Bruce, Tim, Roy
Forgot to add: Kyle, Hal, Ra's, Harvey
Oof.
Well when the writer says make everyone bi, he seems to mean make "everyone" (audience) bi? Superhero comics should have attractive characters, that's part of the fun. Goal is to make the characters so hot that everyone gets womancrushes and mancrushes on them.
Cool with gay characters btw, just kinda hate writing by flag-waving Twitteroids.
This has to be a shot at Lobdell right?
The writer is saying that everyone is going to be sexy. This is no different than those Nightwing covers with Barbara and Dick having a fat ass off (that Dick always wins). Going off of the art he's responding to alone, that makes it really obvious.
His Twitter is filled with woke shit tho
So? I like Earthworm Jim but I'm not going to look at Doug's twitter. But if this comic sucks then it sucks. Only one way to really find out.
After Taylor, I don't trust writers to keep their political bullshit out of their works
Is he saying he's going to make all the characters bi or that he's going to make all the characters sexy to make the readers bi?
Yes
I'm glad they realized that Jason/Biz/Artemis is a winning combo.
Somewhere out there, new DC editorial is seething.
Will this series finally give everyone what they want?
Looks good, happy it's not episodic like the Batman one.
>Good: the give him the gun back
>Bad: potentially gonna make Jason gay
It's a fricking gamble.
>Bad: potentially gonna make Jason gay
??? what got you to that fricking conclusion?
Jason literally forms a nuclear family with a wife and child when he's with Artemis and Biz. I don't think he's going to go for a guy.
Sounds awful
Why does Red Hood get to have guns in the Webtoons?
Please don't say rubber bullets. Rubber bullets are so much shittier than dropping guns entirely and sticking with knives.
I can't tell if this is a cartoon or a digital comic
Web comic like Wayne Family Adventures
They're those shitty Korean style longstrip comics.
Getting so sick and tired of webtoons.
>Webtoon
>It's not animated
this is moronic
Cartoon=/=animation
The artist also drew memes with the Outlaws
