It's the exact same plot. Loser 30 something lives with his unapproving parents who want him to get a job. Despite being a loser with no money attractive successful women throw themslves at him. Most of the film is him bouncing around dead end jobs and failing. He has a talent that is seen as useless and quirky, but he ends up using it to save the day. Cue credits.

That doesn't happy in Freddy Got Fingered though. He hooks up with a cripple who crashes her rocket-powered wheelchair, she's just as big a moronic frick as Gord is, really.
Because the film is mocking that trope. She has absolutely no reason to instantly be into him, and he's a jobless loser. But she completely throws herslef at him. It's exaggerating the situation to mock how it plays out in "comedian makes a film about the lovable loser' films.
