Remember racism between humans doesnt exist in Star Wars

Empire is only racist against aliens

if there's only white guys in the empire in original trilogy it's because it was made in the 70s

I can't imagine Star Wars toys for the new stuff sell that well outside of Mandalorian. Not even because of casting, but because what kid wants to sit through the likes of Obi-Wan or Boba Fett?

They just fail with the designs completely. Actors are ugly and the costumes are uninspired and boring. I had a Captain Panaka figure as a kid. Captain fricking Panaka! There are maybe two or three side characters like that in the entire sequel trilogy that would make cool action figures for a kid; TPM had over a dozen at least.

Kids can't even afford these toys anyway. Hasbro has jacked up the price multiple times over the last two years even a lot of adult collectors are pulling out. Hasbro made the only figure of Boba based on his appearance in BOBF 27 fricking dollars.

They don't. Star Wars toys used to be the biggest selling action figures for decades. But ever since Disney took over, the toy sales have plummeted. Especially after TLJ, but even TFA and Rogue One toys weren't hugely popular. The current generations of kids don't like or care about Star Wars. Hell, the death of Star Wars toys was directly responsible for Toys R Us going under just to put it in perspective.

As a person who bought a lot of Star Wars toys growing up, I feel the need to point out that the production company used for Disney Star Wars toys from episode 7 is also heavily to blame.

Figures seemed to have incredibly limited articulation, and the paint jobs were VERY shoddy... I'm talking hair paint mixing in with the skin paint, and non-synchronised pupils, etc, etc... Made me not interested in purchasing any of those figures BEFORE Disney killed my love for Star Wars (i.e. whilst episode 7 was still in theaters, and long before episode 8 would be released).

tl;dr - I believe that poor quality of the toys probably also played a significant role in the lack of sales. Pic related.

no. While 5 poa figures made me lose interest In hasbro, even lego sets from Disney trilogy didn't sell well and can be still bought for retail or lower prices despite being retired for years.

      /toy/ here.
      They do not.
No one bought The Last Jedi figures, to the point where Rose Tico and her sister were costing 40 cents a figure.
We call them shelf warmers, because you'd go into any toy store and there be dozens of these just sitting there, while other shit would sell out super fast, even way more expensive shit like Lego Star Wars.
No one is going to buy this shit, I guarantee you, I'll bet money on it.

The shows and modern toys are all for adults. The failure of JJ Wars and the toys was a failure among kids.

      When Lucas ruled Star Wars:

"Have the merchandise surround the movies."

      Now Disney rules Star Wars:

"Have the movies surround the merchandise"

This is why Disney keeps failing at it (aside from hard-injecting the wokeshit)

I believe the Empire oppresses plenty of ethnically non-white human civilizations- didn't Mace Windu come from a primitive jungle world where the humans lived in huts with no electricity, and they were supposed to be Africans. I think his world got subjugated pretty hard by the Empire
