Yeah. Movie was an entire bait and switch. Saw the teaser trailer in theaters when I didn't know what it was. It was amazing, was edited so well, was fricking chilling. The Godzilla reveal and scream at the end gave me shivers. I wanted something that would show Godzilla with the scale like Cloverfield (except obviously not with the hand cam footage); a few of the shots in the trailer gave me that feeling. The Bryan Cranston + wife + son thing I thought would ground the movie but it was weak. ATJ was a bore, and Olsen didn't do anything either. Watched Kong Skull Island and felt nothing. I finally watched King of the Monsters last week and it was absolute schlock. Not even going to watch Godzilla vs Kong, and the next one looks abysmal.
This is why I never trust Americans.
