good apocalypse movie, bad propaganda movie.
>propaganda
how?
i thought this scene was a little much
I would frick that ass so hard. Don't care what my chud brethren on Cinemaphile say about it. Black girls are kino.
Disgusting taste
Why? it is pretty accurate
How'd they manage to get black people to act in this?
paying them
act?
They didn't tell them the cameras were rolling.
this is kind of tame compared to the Black folk of today
that opening crossfade is more inspired than any editing I've seen in a film from the past ~5 years
depressing
Truest kino. My black friends went nuts for this shit, especially the honourable man from Ulster swigging hootch low-key. blacks gotta embrace their sillyness and we'll alll have more fun.
what do you mean how? it reminds you every 2 seconds about it's big message
that people are morons?
go back
to where? I'm here daily for over a decade. The only other sites i use is rarbg and thepiratebay for torrenting and wikipedia to read about shit. That's close to 100% of my internet activity.
go back to r*ddit
i don't use reddit since they closed /r/celebritypussy
Yes you do.

He's just shitposting because he has no argument. It's like when they go "YWNBA", "newbie" or "incel", it's just inapplicable whitenoise they spout like little parrots when they've run out of actual thoughts.

wouldnt call it propaganda, but it was a cheap attempt to make a movie based on modern american worldview. id call this movie ironic considering the cast too
>but it was a cheap attempt to make a movie based on modern american worldview.
i would call it succesfull attempt judging how much /misc/acks were seething.
Is that why these movies are made? To make pollacks seethe? Have sex incel.
Hello leftypol
>comparing an asteroid that can be seen in the sky and confirmed by astronomers to be heading directly at earth, to real life climate change and how it is supposedly caused by mankind, which might be true, but is treated as fact despite the numerous times scientists have been wrong about it, and people have the right to question it.
>leftist propaganda painting the conservatives as the bad guys and the ones that don't follow the truth, when it's the total opposite in the current reality
>how it is supposedly caused by mankind
this movie is about you
>you're an idiot because you don't blindly TRUST THE SCIENCE even though they've been shown to be wrong countless times
okay moron, continue believing you're one of the "smart ones" because you're on the side of the heckin science
>when they will completely disappear, however, depends on how and when we act
in all seriousness, are you moronic anon?
good job ignoring the left side of the image, dumb subhuman
you really can't see the obvious issue with your image? am I talking to some delusional freak that think he's a woman if you can ignore your own eyes this much?
>your image
I didn't post it, you stupid c**t
then you're even dumber
Hey look another post with zero argument after you got btfo
you've yet to give a single argument, all you can do is ask "r u moronic r u moronic???" without explaining why you're not moronic yourself. picture on the left says the glaciers will be completely be gone by 2020, picture on the right shows they replaced that sign because nothing happened, and instead are now saying "we don't know when they will disappear, BUT THEY WILL, JUST YOU WAIT!"
How fricking old are you? You realize there was way more ice there only 50 years before the image in the middle? It's going to take shit literally slapping you in the face like a BBC for you to realize your braindeadness and people like you killed this planet.
>people like you killed this planet.
wtf did i do lmao. bet you're way more wasteful than I am.
Anon, do you know what a fricking glacier is?
you're doing the thing where you point out a result, come up with a reason, and then link the two together and deny alternative explanations, despite not being familiar with the science yourself, while condescending about it and implying you know more than you do
you ever going to try to prove anything or you gonna just keep asking questions
Even if an asteroid was visible with the naked eye you would be whining about the scientists possibly being wrong about the trajectory and size.
If they were consistently wrong about its trajectory and size every single time for 50+ years and use it as a justification for more taxes and government power then yes
Who was consistently wrong?
Climate """""scientists"""""
Don't confuse scientists with alarmists like Gore
I don't, that's why I ignore climate scientists. Because it's an illigetamite field.
Looks like we'll all be dead before any major coastal changes
Kek turns out there really are people as moronic as the film portrayed.
>and people have the right to question it.
just don't look up homie lmao
climate change that can be seen and felt every summer more and more and confirmed by meteorologists to be directly impacting earth, to some meteor and how it is supposedly hurling towards earth, which might be true, but is treated as fact despite the numerous times scientists have been wrong about it, and people have the right to question it.
propaganda painting the leftists as the bad guys and the ones that don't follow the truth, when it's the total opposite in the current reality
We're not going to eat crickets and live in storage containers because your religion requires an apocalypse
>how it is supposedly caused by mankind, which might be true
it is true m8
It is not. Climate change is dictated by hydrothermal vents pumping gas from deep in the earth. This was known and openly talked about for decades but now there is more power in using it to combat energy production
>Climate change is dictated by hydrothermal vents pumping gas from deep in the earth.
>SCIENTISTS HATE HIM!
>It is not.
It is, I did a paper about it in college to see for myself.
>Climate change is dictated by hydrothermal vents pumping gas from deep in the earth.
That happens but it's not enough to explain the amount of Co2 released in the air from the industrial revolution to now
Imagine thinking the gas you exhale is causing spookey weather. You are one stupid butthole
I hope your post is bait because I refuse to believe a person this moron exists irl but everyday I learn something new lol
Omg I know it's like I don't even read r/science. have a nice day cult boy
You are moronic and clearly know nothing of the subject if that is how you handwave the vents.
i didn't handwave it moron, I said it doesn't contribute as much as we do which is factual and it wouldn't be enough to cause global warming on the scale it is now, alone. thinking it's all because of natural vents is pure moronation and I seriously wonder where you got your info from
Youre wrong. Its okay i dont care enough to argue about it.
>no argument
el classico
what's with your obsession with reddit? gonna start crying about trannies next or something? You got btfo it's ok
>When redditor cultists get desperate
>admitted he uses reddit
lol
>Tries to deflect away from the unassailable fact that 30 second check up reveals you're entire personality is constructed on the front page of reddit
Thanks for playing champ
>he uses reddit
How are you so fricking dumb I don't understand
In both situations the scientists are pointing to something theyve measured and you deny simply because you don't want to believe it
>In both situations the scientists are pointing to something theyve measured
in reality they've measured it wrong countless times. moron
Yeah sure they have anon
They measured it wrong
Now tell me the correct measurements
>made numerous predictions that x will happen by x
>it didn't
>"YEAH SURE THEY HAVE ANON"
>Prediction
>Measurement
Lmao you really are low IQ
all MEASUREMENTS in the past ended up being wrong. happy, moron?
Dont look up
it's got a great concept but it's handled terribly. it's an end of the world satire, but the satire is obvious, uninteresting and and unfunny. everything is so obvious spelled out and uninterpretable that it might as well just be one of those shitty stickers of joe biden saying
>i did that!
where's the humor? you're just telling me what you think politically, that's it, just preaching for 2 and a half hour about politics, how is that not propaganda?
The movie could have ended with all of those people holding hands at dinner. They just had to keep going to try and make a gag though
>muh trust the soience
Imagine to unironically not see the push to trust specialists with obvious political bias because in fiction they weren't lying
Instead you unironically trust the people with the opposite political bias on "entertainment" networks larping as real news reporters who only live to fear monger at you about minorities, dems, and ((them))
where do you get your news?
>you unironically trust the peopl
I have sources. Pandemic cultists don't care about them and instantly deflect because Alex Jones quotes some of them.
>entertainment" networks larping as real news
Because the PR media practices from corporate media conglomerates are true journalisming
>who only live to fear monger at you about minorities, dems, and ((them))
I'm being told that I fearmonger by the ones telling white supremacist terrorists were attempting a anti-democratic coup under the orangeman's direct orders because Biden's crew stole the election
Your accusations are moot and you have no moral ground to stand on
meds
>m-eds!!
for the last time, troony, normal people don't pop a bunch of pills every day like you deranged people
you can see effects of climate change literally with your own eyes. You just decided to not look up. LIke in the movie.
Well... no you can't. But I do believe in climate change. I just understand that it's spurred by hydrothermal vents and out of our control
literally unironically as moronic as people in the movie
Huh. You should research things before you speak. Hydrothermal vents are well documented as being a leading factor in climate change and regulation
Your point being? They're fictionally correct, thus in reality everyone in the science authority eschelons are right too? There's no corruption? No serving to nefarious interests? No shuffling of numbers to lie with statistics?
Well, thanks for prompting me to write these discrepancies by being as dense as you are. No refunds, eat this donut
>oh wow, suddenly it is hot
>wasn't like that last year?
>no, this year is certainly worse
>are you sure? certainly suffering with heat in the present is a stronger sensation than remembering it in the past, aren't you just caring too much for it now?
>you're wrong, here's a phletora of corrupted sources parroted by consumate liars, I'm not a muppet being manipulated by nefarious interests groups
>well, ok, have a nice day *leaves*
it was hotter 1000 years ago btw
>Literally every single chemist, physicist and weather station is part of a conspiracy
One winter we have little snow here, the next one we have a lot and it's cold
I guess each year is going back and forth, an eternal battle for the climate.
More like they’re all working off the same data, which has been fed to them
Every single chemist and physicist can indipendently verify that the greenhouse effect is real, and weather stations collect their data indipendently of each other.
no they cant lmao. why do pseud climate cultists spout shit like this.
I know that light spectrometry is beyond you, but I would be incredibly surprised if you could present me a chemist or a phycisist who can't do it. (Well, perhaps you can find one in america.)
every single chemist, physicist and weather station
Really now? Literally every single one? You're a moron
I am sorry that interest groups have destroyed your brain.
>weather=climate
your post is as ironic as the movie, completely lacking in any self awareness
If you get a laceration will you trust the science and go to the hospital, or will you perform a traditional shaman medicinal dance and hope for the best? Be honest.
This is disingenuous. A laceration is treated in procedures that are easily understood by the common person. An average man depending on the severity of the wound could take care of it himself. Climate science is highly complex and requires a high level of education and research. It is not understood by the common man, we instead have to rely upon experts and organizations that report their results in a digestible fashion. However, trust in the scientific community has been particularly low in recent years, so it's unsurprising that many doubt the current projections of climate scientists. It does not help that when climate alarmists used models from yesteryear to make blinding leaps that did not come to pass that most view what we hear now as just more inane ramblings. And finally, politically charged rhetoric on all sides today just incentivizes one side to view the other as brainless oafs or placid sheep.
It's really far more nuanced than one side being absolute fools, it could be said that all are fools or none are depending on how you look at it. But contrary to the message driven home in the movie, people are not simply "not looking up," because confirmation of the data is not quite so simple. I have my own reservations, despite my admittedly basic research in university into greenhouse gases.
these people have an authoritarian view of knowledge, they will quite literally not understand what you're talking about
False equivalence is false. The last pandemic was the biggest con in history, the largest transfer of wealth from teh poor for the rich happened before your eyes, and even if the plague pope Fauci himself says with his mouth vaccines kills more than it heals and lockdowns didn't work you woudln't believe it. Now being skeptic of a con is the same thing as put dung on my booboos.
>Literally every single chemist, physicist and weather station
Weirdly, I only seem to hear about one side of the science, the ones doing climate alarmism, and none of the ones disagreeing with this bullshit. One side is marketed, the other is silenced, and this have nothing to do with science.
>but there's unanimity!
source: CNN
The entire movie is an us vs them thing moron. Us (smart climate change/topical science believers) them (moronic deniers). It's okay though if you're not an idiot you can still laugh at it
It's a film about how corrupt people at the top think they're so untouchable that they don't take a catastrophe seriously and would rather focus on making money for themselves. It's pretty realistic.
that's the only part that's somewhat realistic
But the people on top have escape measures in plan so you're analysis is a tad off. It's about how the elite are accelerating us to our doom as a form of large scale ritual sacrifice so they can enter a new eden.
You really think they're going to terraform the moon or Mars or some shit? You're living in a dreamworld
Leo DiCaprio is sobbing on his yacht as we speak. Euroshits crying because it's 85 degrees for a week. Grow up
Are you talking about the temps in Yurop?
This is why there are no aliens. intelligent civilizations survive for a bit but then destroy themselves by taking the easy road when it comes to resources, because they're "intelligent" in the short term but they're not intelligent enough to think on the order of lifespans. Enjoy the last days of Rome.
Nah, it was a pretentious movie aping Idiocracy.
On a scale of 100 with 20 being the average chimpanzee, how intelligent is the average homosexual sapiens sapiens? (2 'sapiens' means modern human for the uninitiated.)
About as smart as you, Anon. Despite your overflowing personal sense of exceptionalism you're just average.
I know I'm moronic. You took the wrong message from my post.
The most unrealistic part of the movie is that it somehow paints one side as people with perfectly morally righteous people and the other side as corrupt devils only after money.
Yeah sure, the conservatives who dispute that emissions cause global warming might be doing that because they are paid by oil companies, but the smug green liberal constantly reminding everyone of the impending apocalypse also just wants 50 million a year donated to his NGO.
Don't have kids, planet's closed.
Well know that you made this OP I'm going to watch it to know what this is all about ... not really
Netflix, Streep, Lawrence, Chalamet. 4 red flags after a quick look.
I think my favorite part might be when they talk about historical records of climate. As if Ben Franklin was erecting his doppler 20 minutes after he "discovered" electricity.
ITT: morons who don't know that climate =/= the weather any given year.
Climate is an average of weather
Yeah, an average over decades, if not hundreds of years you moron, that's why it's completely useless to say "Wow, there's a forest fire this year, must be climate change" because forest fires happen literally every fricking year.
While, simultaneously, making fun of the senator who brought in a snowball to disprove climate change.
Of course? He's no less of a scientifically illiterate moron.
So are the people who think hot days and forest fires are absolute proof of climate change.
Learn to read you fricking moron. I'm literally agreeing with you.
Cope you fat Black person
So what year are we supposed to die from changing weather this time?
Just after the election, unless we vote for the right people who can stop it.
Few will die, instead life will just get worse and worse until people will seek death but will not find it.
Climate change makes us immortal?
Its a part of end times, look it up
In two weeks
>Remember when people said this movie was unrealistic?
Everyone thought it was realistic, we get disaster movies with populations in denial nonstop. It's derivative, and it only made it because of Leonardo DiCaprio
>you can see effects of climate change literally with your own eyes. You just decided to not look up. LIke in the movie.
Most interesting part of the movie was that 2 minutes before they all die they kind of all express regret at not being religious. I wonder which part of the audience that message is meant for.
>Leftists completely overlooking how grifter’s use crises to grift
>how do you do fellow liberals, buy carbon offsets and hate your parents for not driving a Prius!
It's an issue of them also overlooking solutions or how their methods will effect things. Like them trying to shut down coal with no proposed backup that can actually meat energy demand, and also a mentality of shut down now build the fix after. They do the same with gas too not realizing most of our supply chain runs on it.
>Like them trying to shut down coal with no proposed backup that can actually meat energy demand
nuclear
>They do the same with gas too not realizing most of our supply chain runs on it.
so your solution is not to try because everything needs gas? That's some real boomer shit
No the issue if they just call to shut it down without a fix. Most would go against nuclear so what infrastructure could their be to support a mass change to electric vehicles? I'm all for such a mass shift but we need to have it ready before he just shut shit down.
>No the issue if they just call to shut it down without a fix.
Who is saying that? Pretty much all these "leftists" you speak of are calling for them to be shut down while simultaneously promoting nuclear or green energy (depending on the leftist you talk to because they cannot agree on nuclear).
>Most would go against nuclear so what infrastructure could their be to support a mass change to electric vehicles?
It would probably have to be heavily subsidized at first to get it going and all you would need is put those dumb chargers everywhere like there are gas stations and that's it. It's not like they need a new road lol.
>I'm all for such a mass shift but we need to have it ready before he just shut shit down.
Again I don't know who you are referring to. Most people want it shut down while building up new shit I'd imagine.
>and all you would need is put those dumb chargers everywhere
This doesn't fix the far larger oil consumption that comes from trains, boats, and planes. A mass shift to electric cars would not be much in the grand scheme of oil consumption. Now there are solutions here but it's a far more complex issue to mass shift global shipping to electric.
>This doesn't fix the far larger oil consumption that comes from trains, boats, and planes.
You were talking about electric vehicles which in most cases refers to cars and that's what I primarily answered. In terms of co2 emissions to use I think trains are the most eco friendly of the three there. I mean they all are bad for the environment but it's about minimization of emissions. You won't get net 0% in this day of age I'm pretty sure but you can get close to where it wouldn't have *that* bad of an effect on the environment.
>A mass shift to electric cars would not be much in the grand scheme of oil consumption.
In the US, it would. Transportation according to the EPA is one of our biggest sectors of greenhouse gas emissions mostly because how everyone uses cars for transport.
>Now there are solutions here but it's a far more complex issue to mass shift global shipping to electric.
Doesn't mean we shouldn't try. Not trying is boomer shit.
see you have a core misundertanding here that I referenced earlier, you are conflating oil consumption with cars and then emissions, when oil is widely used elsewhere and transportation using oil includes more than cars by a significant amount
>you are conflating oil consumption with cars and then emissions
Transportation uses a lot of oil which then is emitted yes.
>when oil is widely used elsewhere
Yes. "elsewhere". Fantastic
>transportation using oil includes more than cars by a significant amount
>The largest sources of transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions include passenger cars, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, and light-duty trucks, including sport utility vehicles, pickup trucks, and minivans. These sources account for over half of the emissions from the transportation sector.
Straight from the EPA my brotha. Turns out having hundreds of millions of people driving cars everywhere isn't good huh
>who is saying that
again, you must have no knowledge of investment or esg, because that is functionally what happened and why oil is so ridiculous right now
oil is ridiculous now because of OPEC, eastern europe shenanigans, Kung flu that happened for 2 years shutting down everything, and oil companies realizing they can frick your ass and charge more for oil because you need it to get around everywhere so you have no choice. Not because some leftist wants to shut down an oil pipeline lol. And stop talking about investment shit when you still haven't backed up your claims moron. Stop replying.
I literally made 10 grand off the trend because it was obvious, you have no idea what you're talking about
>kung flu
investment drives production, its weird that you mention kung flu driving up oil, which is true, but you don't seem to know why?
>opec
opec literally cannot produce more, they are taking in russian oil and dumping theirs on the market, you are literally just repeating what the white house says without any further knowledge
>eastern europe
the trend predates ukraine and ukraine would only marginally effect the price on a going basis, not change the trend
>muh gouging
lmao, just lmao, the stark ignorance coupled with smug satisfaction that you're right is repulsive. Its a global market you gorilla, and even still barrels bought on the open market are being bought ABOVE the spot price
>you havent proven your claims
it is in almost any article about oil trends for the last few years, esg is also well known in investing and famously has caused a shift away from oil investment
what I suspect is that people told you oil is making a shitload of money, which is true, but you then believe the conclusions they push onto you
the esg morons and various government literally and unironically thought that oil was over during covid, they thought that now was the time the public would switch to EVs, many of them unironically also believing that consumer vehicles are the vast majority of oil consumption
thats why you had weird shit like mayor pp butt bewildered that people would find his EV pitch bizarre
Ironically I wonder why I never hear pushes for electric trains, ships, and planes, somehow cars are the only problem.
>GLOBAL WARMING MAKES THE PLANET HOTTER
>how do you know?
>THIS SUMMER IS LIKE HOTTER THAN THE LAST ONE
>but why isn't the rest of the year hotter too?
>UUUUHHHH UMMMM UGH FRICK YOU CHUD NAZI CONSERVATIVE
>>but why isn't the rest of the year hotter too?
it literally is
I dunno man my winters are much colder. I don't think you know much about this
it's ok to admit you're wrong
Who should I trust, people who have studied climate as a profession or a shitposter on Cinemaphile?
I'll trust people when the following 2 condition are met:
1. They have no incentive to lie or to "carefully select the facts"
2. When their incentives align with mine - I don't understand how paying more taxes and eating bugs will change the weather, and I have no incentive to do so otherwise.
They're not going to make you pay more in tax or make you eat bugs. Instead they're going to make you pay a lot more in gas and plastics and shipping and heating and cooling and basically every consumer product
if you are seriously repeating the bug meme, you're just a moron that fell for memes on /misc/. Imagine actually being brainwashed by tweets on /misc/. I can only imagine the type of person you are and how much of a loser you must be.
You lot seem to spend all your time imaging things.
moron
There you go again
That's a great response to what he said bro, he'll be sure to agree with your worldview next.
oh I don't really care, we're already too late with climate change anyways. It's just a simple fact though that if you actually take the bug meme seriously, you're a braindead moron easily programmed by memes
How does it feel knowing your ass damage over that board is a major contributor as to why it is so large now?
If only he'd bought /misc/ offsets from the government
Bit late now since all they can do is impotent screaming :^)
https://twitter.com/PBSAmerica/status/1549078796803878913
Literally 2 days ago.
Just because climate change is real doesn't mean that you have to support every harebrained green scheme.
That's a really weak deflection after you got btfo for lying and gaslighting about the push to eat bugs
THAT news headline from what I consider a reputable source does NOT count!…
>97 likes

yeah i'm sure the normalgays will eat bugs any day now and they're not publishing this material just to get easy clicks from your seething
>its just a meme
>okay so those in positions of power are pushing it but that doesnt count
despite hating the media so much you really are fond of falling for every clickbait article
your goalpost move was noticed
unless you want to falsify your argument another way
print your post out and tape it to your wall so you can see in real time how gaslighting works
How can you trust a scientist if you have no idea what they're talking about? You could easily be fooled by a doctor into killing yourself if you viewed all professionals this way.
Black folk just say stupid shit like this and expect you to think it's deep
It's true though
your hate blinds you. Look at every single mass shooter and tell me they were functioning members of society with a lot going on.
actually global warming is monitored in animal/bug colonies migration and eco-system collapse but yeah we get it, global warming means thermometers.
>trust the experts, get a lobotomy for your health!
>trust the experts, the aether is the source of all things
>trust the experts, large theropods must've spent all their time submerged in water
Trust the shitposters, bing bo bu babbit fin fo fu fabbit muffuggan BIX NOOD
>why yes, I do regularly commit appeals to authority as my only argument
I'm not making an argument
Not an argument
>Everyone is so stupid! Everyone but me!
Such an awful movie.
Just trust the science bro.
Imagine being so stupid you don't understand what science is.
I know what science is. It is a meticulous process of rationally interpreting mountains of empirical data; what it is not however, is simply LISTENING AND BELIEVING what scientists say.
Trust nothing, then no problem can be solved. The modern nihilist.
>nihilist
You don't know what that means
One who believes in nothing
That's not what it means, you fricking chimp
Enlighten me
You are genuinely moronic, it means you think everything is meaningless and have no religious beliefs. Stop posting you ESL chimp
That is the same thing as believing in nothing just rephrased
>not trusting known liars and corrupt people is the same as thinking life is meaningless
ESL moron
Humans are known liars. You trust no one.
You are a fricking moron
Just taking the grouping one rung higher, homosexuals. You can't disagree that all humans lie.
I trust that you're moronic.
Not trusting a community that is showing signs of corruption is not the same thing as trusting no one at any time. It's not that you distrust science itself, it is that you distrust corrupted science, of which there are mountains of examples throughout history, filled with common swindlers and parrots looking for a paycheck. I'm not even reticent to the accepted view that emissions are harmful to the environment, but I am wholly suspicious of entities extracting from the data opportunity to plunder the wealth of the common man through useless, feel-good initiatives that only serve to line their pockets and worsen the lives of everyone.
i thought they were blaming trump for that now they are blaming corona? lol us is so cucked for vax you know the rest of the world dot care
BLM protests were given the blessings however and WEREN'T surges
Covid chose to stay away from the blm riots, I mean protests, because that was a HUMAN issue
So the way to stop the planet from blowding up is to allow the elites to buy more private jets, yachts and land and to tear up trillions of acres of carbon trapping pasture to plant gmo crops while we cancel nuclear power for being racist and build solar plants in places where it's overcast for 95% of the year
Woah science is both awesome and wholesome
you so samat I believe you they definitely didn't think about overcast effect on sun plants, very good anon you should be phd
Damn dude it was worth poisoning all the ground water to mine the lithium for a technology that is only 20% efficient at best and putting it where the sun barely shines. kickbacks and lobbying are based when it's resisting capitalism.
wow anon another big nugget of information you should go on twitter you get the blue check very fast
Just admit you fell for the scam of putting solar panels on your roof that are never going to pay for themselves and you'll have to go through the claim back process like every other sucker.
I don't use solar panels i spent the money on cheese burgers instead
Nuclear power is science too, moron. Your anger should be directed at politicians.
*sigh* it was suppose to just be a movie, not a prediction...
Adam McKay is a piece of shit who doesn't care about anything he makes beyond "I want to sound smart"
He has no actual human empathy or anger to fuel any sort of genuine creativity or critique
He was only good when he worked with Will Ferrell because they were funny.
I thought the movie was a tonal mess and didn’t know what it wanted to be
DONT LOOK UP (Crime statistics and race)
Just so you frickers know, every planet in the solar system is going through some form of climate change. Now unless there are billions of people using cars on Jupiter that we don’t know about, it’s not our fault.
Venus' atmosphere also mostly consists of greenhouse gases, and its surface temperature is like 400 degrees Fahrenheit. If you think there's no correlation there, you're a moron.
Wow we really need to start taxing venusians more for their emissions
The storms on Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn have gotten more extreme and some have changed rotation entirely. What little atmosphere Pluto had is gone. Neptune and Uranus are losing theirs at an increasing rate. Mars is experiencing quakes when it’s core is supposed to be dead. Refusing to acknowledge that we are powerless against the sun is peak moronation.
Refusing to acknowledge that pumping out megatons of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere a year contributes to rising global average temperatures is also peak moronation, but I get that you think science can't be right unless it matches your politics.
I don't get why they refuse to believe it instead of believing it but saying it doesn't matter because we'll all be dead before it causes any major issues and we need to keep CONSOOMING to keep the economy going.
it already causes major issues
We have different definitions of major issues. I'm talking NYC permanently under water major
>w-we need to stop climate change... by stopping oil & gas development!
>burn more coal instead!!
yeah, somehow I don't think any of this has anything to do with climate change or greenhouse gases
I think we should stop climate change by stopping immigration.
oy vey
Silly anon, they dont want you to burn coal either, unless you're rich. The proles will return to the cave life. Only the rich will have the privilege of fossil fuels.
How about arguing directly to what people say instead of making up fake responses to arguments people haven't made in the thread you fricking paranoid schizophrenic?
What do “people” say? Lower emissions from the three highest polluting countries on the planet instead of killing all the cows?
"People say", as in "the person you're responding to" you ESL spergoid.
You all say the same bullshit, I don’t even need to read your earlier dumb-shit comment
>How about arguing directly to what people say
you must have no knowledge of esg whatsoever
oh, you're right anon. instead of burning coal, we should have poor people LITEARLLY DIE. that's what they actually mean to say. idiot.
>that's what they actually mean to say.
No, what I said, is what the post you're replying to actually said, you strawmanning loser.
The problem is that solutions to the problem are vague and ineffectual, and brought upon by leaders who are constitutionally incapable of honesty. How can you trust anyone to listen to the plight of a liar, however honest the science behind it is? It is not as if should tomorrow these crooks wake up changed to the man and worked together for a common goal that a realistic solution to the problem could be reached in any reasonable time. I am not saying that we should continue on as we are forever, but I am certainly not saying it is wise to blindly trust that any number of these billion-dollar climate bills will genuinely change the matter. Any reticence to current approaches of climate activists are always met with these "gotcha" moments, as though we're all careening off the cliff, moments from death. This alarmism has to stop and politically charged rhetoric has to calm down, or no one will ever come to an agreement.
If your house is on fire do you think it's a good idea to light up matches and throw them everywhere?
You're making a logical fallacy here. Think harder. I know it's hard. Using brain hard.
Idiots: GLOBAL WARMING
Patricians: Industrial farming has made entire swaths of the continent reliant on foreign chemical imports in order to generate a decreasing amount of crop harvest and it's decimated the surrounding water and turned the soil so depleted and toxic that eventually nothing grows there and we're going to experience a dustbowl but with toxic dust in the next five years
>The pasture biome traps carbon in it's dense route system
>the animals keep the land in check with their grazing
It's sad that rich people convinced midwits that cow farts will blow up the Earth
humans farting is far more dangerous than cows
changing your electric car's battery bank every 4 years is not good for the environment
Indeed, electric cars are an idiotic idea. Replacing some parts of the automotive network with rail lines and focussing on more efficient gasoline engines would be a better idea.
Modern diesel turbo charged engines are already plenty efficient, it would be better if governments offered free routine injector and dpf cleaning but nothing about the climate crisis response is logical, honest or effective.
diesel is the dirtiest type of fuel
morons will see a truck go by and scary black smoke go up into the air and imagine it is worse for the atmosphere than the relatively clear shit coming out of their car
In terms of soot yes, that's why you have a dpf and you get much mpg from them. As I said it would make more sense for governments to promote free injector/dpf cleaning and even oil changes than moronic schemes like e-scooters in city centres.
Yes it's all fixed for anywhere that isn't extreme cold, then you might still need an additional fuel heater.
I don't know much about turbine cars. I think hybrids are a much better idea that all electric cars though. If only they didn't stop killing off those youtubers that make water fuelled cars.
Turbines actually function quite well as an engine for a hybrid, since they're the most energy efficient type. I know they're used in trains, although hydraulic train engines have a bad habit of overheating.
nta. I only really know about old school diesel. Do new ones still have the ambient freezing problems, or is everything still fixed with plug in warmers?
Yes, course, I have nothing against modern combustion engines. Although, I have to wonder if with the advancements of materials science turbine engine cars might finally be viable.
I am a different anon schizo-kun.
>right wingers don't believe this OBVIOUS science
there is nothing obvious about climate science, but ironically leftists ignore science that is friendlier to the layman, notably sex and "gender", and genetics, race, and IQ
the only response to leftists on climate should be "nuclear", because it is the most irrational position on the subject, more irrational than thinking the earth is flat, unironically
>there is nothing obvious about climate science
just don't look up
you're in good company with leading figures in the field such as ariana grande and jonah hill
constant panic allarms like this movie cause the general public to be desensitized and disinterested about climate change. I remember being told in school "scientists" say we might run out of water from the poles by the 2010s. Which didn't fricking happen. Climate change should be told fairly, scientificly, not like a sci-fi apocalyptic tale
>fairly, scientificly
this is functionally impossible because you need an understanding of the base material first before you can understand what is fair or scientific, and who chooses the people to make this decision?
Yeah this pretty much. It's the same with how they handled covid. Scaring everyone about the lethality when it really wasn't that deadly. Still worth preventing it from apreading because grandma could legitimately die from it. Lying about how effective vaccinations were, how you couldn't spread it and the chance of getting it was nearly 4%. All fricking lies. When there was a shortage of masks they claimed masks weren't that effecfive against spread-prevention. When the masks came in it was suddenly essential to the survival of mankind.
Why not be honest about it all? They lie to convey the urgency of the situation but by lying people can easily poke through it all and you get fricking riots and people going rogue.
And that's from my euro country, I don't know how it was in the US but our government has been caught in so many blatant fricking lies lately that they just don't get the trust they used to, because they're just fricking corrupt morons.
The people who are so insanely critical of climate science on this website are the same people who will literally claim IQ tests from 1968 done in Sub-Saharan Africa are fool-proof evidence forever(!) that Aryans™ are the Master Race.
>the ridiculous irony of this post
they are literally "finding the genes" today and the date of a study is irrelevant you subhuman Black person
All research that is vastly more disputed than climate science is, and yet your bad faith room temperature IQ'd brain doesn't give a rat's ass about that simple fact.
no it isn't, there is more consensus on IQ than the public thinks and surveys on anthropomorphic climate change are not as uniform as the public is lead to believe.
find one of the surveys that shows the literal questions they use and who they are asking. The trick is grouping answers together and then implying that group is saying something different.
to add, the disagreement on IQ comes in the form of causation, not disputing its validity at the end of the day. Surveys on genetic heritability as opposed to environmental causes also vary between the sciences, getting more confident in heritability the further they are away from humans, and the further they are away from the west (asia is in the 80s iirc)
Why do people question bodily humors? The science is settled.
climate change isn't real
>comet isn't real. It's a israeli hoax.
one can be seen
the other is israelite wordplay
The movie wasnt propaganda, is extremely truthfurt about idiotic society. Its basically sequel to Idiocracy.... Idiocracy made people pissed off, this movie also. Both are excellent representation of democracy and how moronic it is as a system.
>it's not anthropogenic and also at the same it makes it look like it's anthropogenic
what are the odds for that?
Humans have a hard time with both being a part of the system and not being in charge of it. It's most keenly shown in people who aren't religious, but somehow believe anything can be unnatural, as if there aren't all sorts of creatures that construct some form of artifice.
>grug see flaming rock fly across the sky
>grug get sick
>flaming rock must make grug sick
there are limitless correlations without causation we can observe, many of which are plausible if not probable
At it's core, this movie is not about left vs right or climate change, it's about how absolutely fricking insane Americans are and how fricked the rest of the world is to have to live with them.
The only thing funny with this movie was Leo's excessive screaming
Ever notice how COVID cultists and climate change cultists are two sides of the same plebbit coin?
ever notice how magaschizos/qanons and billonaire oil executives are two sides of the same coin?
No not really, but everything you believe in unironically gets pushed on plebbits page every single day.
And you would know about plebbit wouldn't you redditor? Did you flock to this site because you got banned there or what?
It takes 30 seconds to browse the front page whenever I hear some moronic lefty platitude that they all repeat like drones
So you do use reddit, frick off moron
big oil is heavily invested in alternative energy projects you moronic pseud, green shit is huge money too
its incredible how leftists manage to convince themselves they are the underdog no matter how much power they obtain
>big oil is heavily invested in alternative energy projects you moronic pseud
Show me the big 5 doing that in serious nuand I'll stop posting
>doing that in a serious way
you just qualified your own post so that I couldn't prove anything, frick you, kill youself
at the end of the day, I'm pro nuclear and weening off fossil fuels for completely different reasons, unlike leftists who are completely impractical and as to nuclear completely irrational
>you just qualified your own post so that I couldn't prove anything
Because pumping minimal investment is nothing lol. You're making the claim that they're heavily investing and you cannot back it up at all. You're fricking moronic man lol Done reading your garbage posts
>Because pumping minimal investment is nothing lol.
and you purposefully won't make a post that can be disproven, not that you would understand finance or energy enough to even be able to
the frick you going on about man, you made a claim about heavy investment and cannot back it up it all and pretending to not even try because it wouldn't "satisfy me" or something lol
https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/big-oil-squeezes-renewable-energy-profits-as-commodities-rally-1.1638628
I'll play your gay little game for a couple of posts
You'll be gay about this source and then I'll find another and you'll be gay about that one for a different reason and then the thread will die
>It is projected that major oil and gas companies will invest over 4.6 billion U.S. dollars in clean energy projects in 2021, with over half of this capital expenditure (2.7 billion U.S. dollars) being in offshore wind power generation. This is a sizable increase from the total investment of 3.7 billion found in 2020.
>BP alone made net profit 12billion
So they give green energy handouts that's nice of them. That's some heavy investment like you said. I conceed my good sir!
Yeah you got btfo
Yeah, I concede. How generous of those oil companies giving pocket change investment...I kneel. that is certainly the heavy investment that you claimed I was looking for...God bless. Good day sir!
go back to r/science clown
I'm too lazy with math to do a percentage. Perhaps you can help me good sir. If you please, could you combine all the major oil companies profits and I don't know divide against the amount they invested in green energy. And compare how much of their money was invested? Thank you good sir! Surely it's over 50% right?
Imagine coping this hard after your argument got destroyed with facts.
What facts? They aren't heavily investing like you said. It's pocket change compared to their profits. I never said they didn't invest, you said they were heavily investing, which they aren't? But I suppose it's semantics and you think giving a homeless guy $5 is heavily investing their future. Good day!
The ones that btfo and have you now embarrassingly flailing around trying to cope with being wrong
last (you) because you're not the original guy I was talking to and the NPC level responses are getting old
You haven't said anything worthwhile after you got proven wrong anyways. Anon destroyed you with a source and now you can just ramble pointlessly to try and distract from how hard you got owned.
>compared to their profit
how much did they lose during covid? and this is a new metric you set, you little fricking weasel, everybody noticed because I said you would do it ahead of time
what percent is acceptable to you Black person? you know they have a legal obligation to shareholders right? you probably know absolutely nothing except what some other leftist Black person has shat out in front of you
>how much did they lose during covid?
didn't they make record breaking profits during covid? lol
> and this is a new metric you set, you little fricking weasel,
Whats with this weasel thing? You shill for big oil here dude. Do you work for them?
>what percent is acceptable to you Black person?
Damn he so mad now he's calling me a Black person lmao. Anyway, I asked you what heavy investment is to you and haven't gotten a response yet.
>you know they have a legal obligation to shareholders right?
Yeah so they don't want to heavily invest?
>you probably know absolutely nothing except what some other leftist Black person has shat out in front of you
"muh leftist" "muh Black person" Dude shut the frick up moron lmao
Absolutely humiliating cope
refer to my earlier post about you qualifying it so you can weasel out, you're like an open book
all leftists are really, because they just jerk each other off and say the same things verbatim
>refer to my earlier post about you qualifying it so you can weasel out
But you said heavily investing? What is heavily investing to you?
>Renewable energy drew more than $2.6 trillion in investment from 2010 to 2019.
I mean 4.6 billion given from Oil and gas companies is really nothing amongst 2.6 trillion right? even if they gave 4.6 billion for 10 years that's nothing. Are they investing? Yeah, is it a lot? In the grand schemes of things no. They make more through coal, gas, and oil and they want to keep it that way. And stop screaming "leftist" like some maga parrot moron
Embarrassing cope
youre comparing investment prior to this unprecedented era in oil to when they werent making as much, how much did they lose in the year before they made profit? and how much did they invest anyway?
and again we can all see what you're doing
You're asking a bunch of questions and begging them but won't provide answers. You keep moving goalposts because you're starting to realize that their investment isn't that grand here as you originally claimed.
>youre comparing investment prior to this unprecedented era in oil to when they werent making as much
Mate, big oil has been making a shit ton of money every year since the 60s. they've been on top uncontested. Stop acting like they're some small company firm lmao
> how much did they lose in the year before they made profit?
What year?
>and how much did they invest anyway?
Who? Big Oil?
What the frick are you on about You're questions are so open ended you are even confused about what the frick you're talking about
Completely btfo
>You'll be gay about this source and then I'll find another and you'll be gay about
Thank you for providing us with the fact that your only knowledge on the subject is googling different phrases while copy and pasting from the first page
Big oil is hedging their bets lol, but they dont want you to transition yet because they can still sell a lot of oil to you
>because they can still sell a lot of oil to you
its just reality that the world still needs oil and is far from being able to transition off of it, its not a conspiracy. Elon himself has said something similar
The reality is that the world needs to be depopulated but it won't happen and we'll all die because businessesmen who don't believe in anything aside from amassing wealth for the sake of it run the world
no, the world other than Black folk in africa will be depopulated given projections, your post is the inverse of reality created by whatever garbage media you're consuming
Just like climate science deniers and race realists are two sides of the same /misc/yp coin.
>Climate change denier
Kek nice cable news platitude there cultists
>starts screeching about /misc/
lel best board just because of the asshurt it causes gays like you 🙂
The /misc/cel is immunized against all dangers: one may call him a scoundrel, parasite, swindler, profiteer, it all runs off him like water off a raincoat. But call him a /misc/cel and you will be astonished at how he recoils, how injured he is, how he suddenly shrinks back: “I’ve been found out.”
I thought they were against immunisation
lel no amount of impotent crying is going to make /misc/ dissappear :^)
Reddit literally lives in your head rent free loser.
>Another redditor platitude
Hahahah
Why does no one bring up rising ocean acidification which will cause issue far before we see the I'll effects of rising temperatures?
Why does no one bring up all the damage done to the ecology and that we are just dumping waste into the ocean
That's not convenient to "sceptics"
People who stay clean?
>WHY ARE YOU NOT LOOKING UP AAAAAHHHHH I AM GOING INSANE
i'm just gonna copy a post i found on Cinemaphile. It sums up chuds perfectly.
10 years from now when it gets much much worse you will still have morons denying it. It's a fallacy of sunk costs. Admitting you were wrong would mean that you have spent time and effort being a moron. So you decide to continue believing in obvious bullshit to trick your mind that you didn't lose that time and effort. Same things happen with older people who realize god doesn't exist. They double down and become cartoonish bigots.
>chuds
>god doesn't exist
>bigots
bad bait
just point where is he wrong
the whole post is a prediction for what will happen in 10 years. I need to wait 10 years, moron. you don't even know what you're reading.
>the whole post is a prediction for what will happen in 10 years
it literally isn't. It describes what is happening right now and says that it's going to happen still in the future.
Wow so you literally can't read
Just like the past 10 fricking times we did this dance it will for sure happen this time
>I need to wait 10 years
yeah, maybe there's really a wolf attacking the sheep this time
wasn't the cast the last 999 times, but this might be the one
What? All those dates haven't passed yet.
He didn't link to the site, but it does have a number that did not come to pass.
the solution to climate change is genocide
never let any leftist deny or play that down
it is the best most effective and fastest solution
>rich people abuse thing for their own gain
>therefore thing not real
Ariana Grande was so kino in it.
Just imagine all the redditor sois making that wojak face kek
It is dishonest because it reinforced the false narrative that it is an issue of science when it is an issue of politics. The only solution that was ever viable was one where alternative energy sources became more profitable than fossil fuels.
>try to force policies with asymmetrical costs and wonder why the people who have to bear those costs don't want those policies
Ask anyone in favor of these policies how much they are personally willing to give up to enact climate change policies and they change their tone real quick.
