cope all you want, even with a 100 deg FOV vr headset, your """140 inch""" screen doesn't feel like it's actually 140 inches. With 46 degree it's gonna be even more shit.

based. i got a pair of the Xreal Air 2s for my steam deck, and i kinda love them. just kinda sucks that you need an 8-900 dollar smart phone to run the app, and the 100 dollar Beam attachment is shit and i aint paying for it. but its still fricking great to have a personal theater

      >moronic zoomer doesn't understand how depth perception works
It's focused at 20 feet. (Accommodation)
Your eyes are at a near parallel angle (Vergence)
If you have VR headset, the theater seats provide depth cues (people and seats) as well as perspective and foreshortening.

But of course you dumb zoomers think watching a movie on their phones is the same as watching it on a big screen just because the FOV is the same. homosexual

I have a Quest 3. It's an imperfect illusion and doesn't feel like being in front of an actual huge screen. The pixel density sucks shit too. This ain't killing large TVs any time soon.

I want to buy one of these.

Can you please recommend me a few pairs?
Specifically, 1. community favorite; 2. Top of the line, no question of price; 3. Your favorite

I'm willing to compensate for a good response.

for me, a big factor was that they look somewhat normal, and not like some homosexual cyberpunk cosplay. That's the main reason I went with Xreal. plenty of reviews on youtube about them thatpoint out common issues if you want to know more. I guess they also just dropped a new premium pair that have built in cameras for tracking, but i dont think reviews are out for those yet.

you can also see a lot of other brands on youtube if you just search "AR Glasses"

I bought the viture for porn and to see what the output looked like. I was hoping I would be able to "pin" windows into space and surround myself with boobies. I don't think that's possible or I couldn't figure it out. You also have to use their own browser unless you buy a $200 attachment that lets you run android straight from the glasses. Which means ads in your pornos since their browser does not have adblock. The screen size is tiny and the only way to adjust the outpu size is to buy the $200 attachment. It's surprising heavy as well.

I returned it, at it's price point you are better off getting a Meta Quest 3 for porno and more. You can purchase Virtual Desktop to surround yourself in windows, meaning boobies, too.

I spend 14 hours a day in my xreal airs
the company is a piece of shit and each model has gotten progressively worse, but I can never go back
I used to use a vr headset in the same way
    I haven't owned a monitor since 2018

Can you set it to correct for near-sightedness or other vision defects? Having to wear something like that over a pair of glasses seems like it would be awkward

there's prescription inserts you can have made by your optometrist, it doesn't work over normal glasses.
the other thing is ipd. If you aren't an asian, the air 2 will be blurry because your eyes are too close together and it's a chinese company. it's not adjustable.

xreal has limited adjustments for face shapes, but there is no adjustment for IPP, which kinda sucks. there is a little bracket and lense blanks you can take to an optomitrist, and have them make lenses to clip inside, but thats like an extra couple hundred bucks you pay just for having shit eyes

Lol this marketing needs to frick off. I tried the xreal airs and kept my rokid max. Screen feels tiny no matter what. I only bought these for stereoscopic 3d gaming. Can't imagine using these as a monitor replacement. 42" lg c2 at 3 feet distance feels way better.

I looked into these and decided I'm waiting 3-4 years for version 3.0 that will actually be really good with fewer compromises.

Smart, but the tech is advancing a bit quicker than that. You'll probably only have to wait 2 years, tops
