What's a "good" adaption? 2 hours of them looking for herbs and bullets and sword keys and solving puzzles in a mansion? That doesn't translate well to the cinematic format at all. Anderson got the right idea, his execution was flawed

Fricking Abigail did the "people stuck in a mansion" thing right. How fricking hard it is to follow the game and play it as a horror/action movie?
This. Literally what is there to adapt that a million other movies havent done before? I enver understood why this meme series has fans begging for adaptions.

yes.
People trapped in a mansion with monsters and a conspiracy unravels
But these movies already exist. What do you get out of just slapping the words "Resident Evil" on the script? Is all you want to see is a man and woman run call each other Chris and Jill the entire time?
I feel like a talented writer could make it work. It's basically just a special ops team trapped in a haunted house fighting weird monsters and evading traps. It'd be great.
Depends on what you want really, I'd be interested in either a closer campy adaptation or a more serious movie. Resident Evil shouldn't be a difficult conversion but Hollywood finds a way to frick up.
This one was onto something, and definitely the one that felt the most like a Resident Evil movie, but who the frick thought it was a good idea to do two games in the same movie?
It already had a good adaptation. The movie that Capcom got its inspiration from. Check some of the scenes in the house they hole up in, remind you of a certain mansion? Barbara's char could be Jill or Claire(Probably Jill tho) and a lot of the zombies, like the fat one really scream RE.
The movies have the same Problem as the Games, they have no identity.
Make a Horror found footage movie with minimal explanation, make a Tyrant a actual Horror Monster that you only fully see in one or two scenes.
The games just want to be a total action shit show, ok cool. But don`t try your cringe horror settings on me if nothing is scary
>The movies have the same Problem as the Games, they have no identity.
Good point. I played a couple games and I like them but I'm dont understand what is even supposed to be the "main thing" of the games. They all go
>Scary horror zombies >Ok now here's a literal monster >Now mad scientist shit >Game isn't even scary anymore >Finale is an action movie with hot people shooting at zombie fodder
They actually shot footage for RE directors cut. They had a good thing going there. I always wanted to see the rest of what was possible there. It wouldn’t have been bullets and herbs and sword keys either. Toss in Lisa Trevor From the remake and it’s fricking over for whatever the frick was fed to normies. Don’t forget to add John and Ada to properly tie movie 1 to 2. Kino
Cue RE2 and 3 make it a two part movie like Dune add in a bit of operation racoon city characters along with nemesis and mrx and the soldiers umbrella sent in and again. Kino

Adapt the game. Not just the umbrella logo

There's too much zombie shit around. Walking Dead went on for centuries and also had spinoffs, despite being mediocre most of the time.

Even the games turned into capeshit nonsense.

Pajeet Leon

Frick off
>muh race

Why are you saying that? Are you israeli?
>Just let us adapt your favorite thing but not actually do it properly chud!
oy vey!!!!

No need. The games are cinematic enough. I don't care about pozzed shit and neither does capcom
Never. There will never be a good adaptation of anything, not just RE.
you already had one
Already happened
that's borderline experimental
How come cosplayers can do nice costumes, but Hollywood can't?
Cosplayer want to be sexy.
So do actors?
The people in charge of them disagree.
Hollywood refuses to cast hot people.
And Leon, Ada and Jill need to be hot
i have never finished this game
i always get lost and don't know what i need to do to progress so i just give up on it
nevermind me posting best Ada
Action figures....look like that?!?
After Return to Silent Hill does good, so never
