I thought it was okay. I think trying to do both RE1/RE2 with a budget of $25 million was a very bad idea and the last third of it looks bad and cheap because of it.
this. should have seperated re1 and 2 but i enjoyed it more than the entire wes franchise. this atleast resembled what im familiar with for the game. could have been better.
I wanted to like it, but it was so disjointed I couldn't get into it. Diehard fans were always going to dislike it, and casuals recognised it was just poorly put together.
This. I went with a friend who is a huge Resident Evil fan (Ive never played them myself) and she was feeling out and filling me in on the references and shit that I didn't get
Garbage pacing thanks to Lisa Trevor plotline and Chris and Claire being Umbrella subjects in the past.
Bad action. Unlikable characters.
Clearly there was a lot more respect to the property than the Anderson movies, you could tell some people wanted to recreate specific scenes from the games, lots of callbacks, but in the end they weren't well executed. An example: referencing itchy tasty diary entry, but it's now just a retarded trailer trash woman screaming that.
it was fine. you can notice that they tried to add a bit camp there which is good but should've gone for more i think. i never could take resident evil seriously
What I don't understand is why they keep adapting RE and why they keep fucking up. They literally just have to do a straight adpation of the first game and they have a solid 6/10 horror movie.
>try and mash re1 and 2 together in a neuralblender tier crossover >rewrite certain characters entirely >on a budget of $25mln
it was rigged from the start. I will say however that the people working on it probably did play the games because of the little easter eggs and stuff. Also in my personal opinion they nailed the 90s aesthetic of raccoon city
>easter eggs
You're a fag. Every reference to the games felt more like the producers went on Reddit to see what sois would want to see in a movie based on le heckin epic REmakes.
>nooo you can't just have heckin references to the game in a movie based on a game nooo
you naggers are why shit like the original resident evil movies happens
Paul W. S. shat up the lore for his films, but the new one feels like Dragon Ball Evolution. Someone read a brief plot synopsis of the first two games' remakes, googled some monster designs, and used that as the basis for their film.
Resident Evil has some of the most iconic characters in video games and I look at the poster and can't even tell who they are supposed to be, other than Claire. It's a travesty. I will never watch this.
i didnt even give it a chance.
not even pirating?
no lol

maybe don't replace one of the most appropriate casting of all time with dios mio la goblina de las americas
casting is the least of the movies problems
that makes me even more scared to watch it now
the movie must be really terrible then
it's would not be that bad, but it has woke shit.
Claire is a huge mary-sue, Leon is a helpless coward. It's weird.
i know why but i dont want leftypol bunkerfags to flood the thread
It resembled the games even less than the original movies, and the actors were terrible choices for the characters.
I wanted to like it, but it was so disjointed I couldn't get into it. Diehard fans were always going to dislike it, and casuals recognised it was just poorly put together.
Jill or Claire, anon?
Why not both at the same time?
Based
incels mad that they made jill more attractive
based
>mutts are attractive
Yes
>cant handle brown beauties
/misc/ is basically /lgbt/ at this point
Actual brown women are fine. Half-breed interracial failed abortion babies are disgusting.
>brown
>beauty
pick one and only one
OK Dave, pull up the comparison shots
I liked it, as a serious gamer who's been playing RE since day one this is the best adaptation yet.

Best Resident Evil movie coming through
this was the exact moment that i realized this might be one of the best sequels in existence
What is this?
filename anon
Scolaro is the wrong side of ugly, she should have done this 3 years ago
it was fine. you can notice that they tried to add a bit camp there which is good but should've gone for more i think. i never could take resident evil seriously
Jill give two rides
Red door.

Resident Evil but everyone is brown
based
Leon is a mutt and they made his character a complete coward.
Also the low budget really showed once the monstrous creatures showed up.
Leon was a pajeet, not a mutt.
Bump
No Jovovich
It looked like a cheap SyFy Channel movie.

DEAR LORD was this awful. Like everything, in every way possible. I'd rather watch Kenobi twice than this shit.
action+tits is the primary appeal of these movies.this had bad action and no tits
>Mila Jovowhatever has no tits
mila can do action and she was willing to imply nudity unlike the prude actresses of today
cross board culture doesn't exist anymore noob i haven't visited r9k since 2009

wtf happened to Kaya Scodelario?
>Kaya Scodelario
>age:30
yeah i wonder what happened to her
She still looks great
She looks haggard and old
Go back to r9k
Simo
I didnt like it because if how much they shit on Leon for literally no reason
Nice Chris, nice Claire, terrible everything else
They guy playing Chris is the cousin of Stephen Amell kek
Video game adaptations will always fucking suck and Hollywood is idealistically bankrupt anyway so it was destined to fail.
Original wes movie still best.
will it be kino
we dont know yet
