Were the charges fake or did he actually do it? Off the top of my head of charges that ruined a man for no reason were Tobuscus, Elmo's voice actor, Johnny Depp, and that's all I can think of.
>still trying to force Summer in like she's a badass
And they still have Sci-fi Beth too right? It shouldn't have taken until the recasting, people should've dropped it at the very least by Beth getting a badass Sci Fi clone of herself. This show suddenly treats the dumb female cast like they're above everything.
One of my theories is that the Sci-fi clone of beth was a plotline that was changed, probably something Roiland and Dan thought themselves and it was later change.
The fact beth is a murderous psychopath never comes really in to play, the same way it also barely plays much with the themes of the original series. My theory is that the Beth that stayed was always meant to be the clone and the beth that scaped to space at some point would try to come back and kill the entire family because she was crazy.
Them the family would have to deal with the fact that they killed their original mom, she was crazy, that beth is actually a clone and Rick with what hes done and had to do. It's at least a better than rick somehow not knowing or not being to know who the real Beth is, something that doesn't make sense in universe or why he would do such thing and has more weight to it.
The whole point of the "beth is secretly evil" shit and the clone cop-out was for a couple of reasons:
1. it proves that Rick's side of the family is pure evil, hence why Morty and Summer are sociopaths, to such a degree that they turned on and cast out Jerry, who's only sin is being the only person who sees Rick as the monster he truly is.
2. The whole point of the clone shit and the resolution (that Rick cloned Beth in a way that he doesn't know who's the real one and who's the fake) is that it sums up what a shitty father Rick is. The one time Beth demanded Rick be a parent to her (IE decide if she should abandon her family or stay and be miserable but own the fact that she's too cowardly to accept her inheritance of being Rick's daughter and be able to do whatever the fuck she wants with no consequence), Rick refused to do so and instead did a random switcheroo so he didn't know who was the clone and wiped his memory afterwards.
3. The clone storyline also let them have Beth finally have a moment where she realized the downside of having Rick as a father; that she might be the clone and that Rick would kill her the second she became self-aware and ruin the real Beth's scheme. Which made her realize she loved Jerry after all and that he was right about Rick allowing them to reconcile and put a brake to Rick's reign of terror during season three.
4. They brought Space Beth back because of fan demand and they did the random switcheroo ending because they don't want to give a definitive answer to the question and want to keep Space Beth around for future stories since the idea of Space Beth being the "cool" parent gives regular Beth angst and lets her be the Jerry for once
Wasn't it in a Season 3 promo one of the newer female writers said something along the lines of, "Morty is boring to write for because we don't get him. We like writing for Summer because she's a girl and we like seeing her be a badass!"
Meaning, they're working on a show they didn't like for a paycheck using it to make the art they want to make, regardless of what the audience came to the show for. They don't care about making something enjoyable for you as long as they feel fulfilled doing what they want, and then you're the bad guy for taking that away by not enjoying it. It's a shame, but same shit happened on Adventure Time too when they brought on new writers. They wanted to write about Marceline and PB but were stuck with Finn, so unironically, admitted to ruining the character as revenge when they got the chance.
>Morty is boring to write for because we don't get him. We like writing for Summer because she's a girl and we like seeing her be a badass!
So much for diversity and representation and empathizing with different people
That's just their excuse to deflect criticism 80% of the time. And what's sad is that the people using it as an excuse are damaging the 20% of people legitimately putting effort into this goal.
>summer in the center and in focus
So is finally happening, huh? THey are finally taking the focus away from rick and morty and slowly giving to Summer.
Incredible if you rewatch the first few seasons Summer is just there to be an normal teen girl and ground more the smiths in to reality so the stuff with Rick and Morty felt more fantastical, right? And by season 5 some writer probably thought she was incredible because her vagina and since them they keep trying to push her to being in to adventures when in the early seasons Rick himself was against it because is not what her character is about.
WIth roiland departure and the fact they probably are aware people are going to absolute HATE anything they try to do with the characters I bet they are going to try to shift the focus of the show to summer somehow, make her a genius even greater than Rick or whatever. Since the episode with the giants sperms and the way they treated both Summer and Beth character I would think it would be that absurd of a thing.
Rick and morty Died at the first episode of season 3 when reddit got a hold of it and never let it go, now all we are doing is seeing AS drag his mangled corpse around parading like the corpse of a dead champion so everyone knows it failed and it's dead.
Any rumours about who the new voice is?
summer in the middle........i see.
The poster is a parody of bad boys, stop having an outrage over the minimum thing
It's a reasonable route for the show to take when you actually think about it. The show started out as Rick/Morty A-plot, Beth/Jerry B-plot, and maybe Summer's there. Now that the parents aren't fighting and are more chill with adventures, the family dynamic can give focus to everyone a little more evenly. Summer is no longer secondary to the parents' marital drama (or tertiary to the show in general).
Plus you act as if Summer didn't already get two major episodes to herself in the first fucking season. If anything, it's Beth who started getting pushed more once the writers realized there could be more to her character than her marriage with Jerry. And it's not like you can whine about that since RICK'S DAUGHTER was bound to get more shit to do anyway.
It's actually very weird how the obviously had no clue what to do with Beth in the early seasons even though being Rick's daughter should mean she's important by default

I think people have finally caught on to the show insisting on stringing them along with as little lore as they can get away with per season. Even I don't want to defend them anymore after hearing that they still want to keep it going past Season 10. Just end this shit and move on already. Nobody seriously wants it to last forever. If these new episodes actually commit to focusing on Rick Prime then maybe public opinion will change, but I'm not holding my breath.
>after hearing that they still want to keep it going past Season 10.
Do they really? I know a lot of animated sitcoms last a while but I just felt like for some reason that after this 70 episode pickup we would be saying goodbye?
I thought the same, but they're actually serious about running this into the ground for as long as they can, which I have to imagine goes against most fans' wishes:
Trying to get the exact same voice is a fools game. Audiences will know somethings off and subconsciously dislike it. It's better to get someone who can carry the spirit of the character. That why pic related
They didn't do that with Solar Opposites. They made Korvo a fuckin Brit due to a dart to the throat. Is this what they plan to do with Rick? Contrived throat injury to justify new voice actor that sounds WAY different?
I feel like it makes sense for Harmon to voice either Rick or Morty. He's already a regular member of the voice cast, he's conveniently available in-person for other parts of the production, and his voice isn't TOO different from Roiland's aside from being a little nasally (17:40): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVXPSkg9Sps&t=1060s
Whatever they go with, I hope Adult Swim milks this secrecy as much as possible and releases S7 promos without ANY new Rick/Morty voice clips. It'd be hilarious to tease everyone with that, plus it'd also generate more hype and pull in more viewers for the premiere. There should be plenty of scenes with the rest of the family ready for use.
>it'd be hilarious if a network fired a creator of their hit show over metoo allegations and then used it to hype up their show for even more ratings and attention
It's his own damn fault. The domestic violence allegations are only the tip of the iceberg. Roiland was an unprofessional and difficult to work with (not out of being too particular with minutiae but out of sheer laziness) and he creeped on teenagers. He has only himself to blame for putting thousands of people's jobs at risk before Adult Swim booted him.
This. People don't understand how easy it is to shrug off allegations like this if you actually maintain a professional and likable persona. Usually the people who get fired over #MeToo shit were annoying people who management was looking for an excuse to fire anyway
I agree completely, obviously this example isn't the case, but for example Keanu Reeves could be a horrible abuser and it would be easy for him to dodge any accusations because he goes on TV and is affable and pleasant and sincere. Remember when Kevin Spacey went completely insane after those allegations came out and made that in-character conspiracy-theory-laden video, but because he's Kevin Spacey everyone just forgot and forgave him and he, like, hosted the oscars? It's SO easy to hop, skip, and jump over drama when you're nice and easy to work with in person. All Justin Roiland had to do was (even just cynically) keep his head on straight and smile and nod. Even if in his head he was thinking the whole time "boy I can't wait to creep on some young girls, this is so boring", he could have had his career be peak for another decade. I have absolutely no sympathy for someone who can't keep their shit together despite having an opportunity for true success handed to them on a silver platter. Poor dumb bastard.
This. The bar couldn't get any lower and he still squandered everything that had been given to him like an ungrateful manchild. I can't think of a bigger loser to feel sorry for.
>I can't think of a bigger loser to feel sorry for.
That's just the thing, I DON'T feel sorry for him. It sucks to hear of an underdog success story end this way but Roiland doesn't deserve sympathy when he clearly took everything for granted after a while.
Also he's still worth millions anyway so it's not like his professional career tanking will leave him out in the streets or something

>It sucks to hear of an underdog success story end this way
It really does…
Why'd he do it, bros?? Why couldn't Roiland have either expressed his desired vision for the show & played an active role in the hiring of future writers or directly expressed that he'd be stepping down and trusted everyone in the writers' room to carry the show forward while he brings their scripts to life as best as he can in the recording booth? He didn't have to get himself kicked out and be forced to record voices remotely for being a nuisance. He could've dated TONS of beautiful women with his level of fame and wealth but instead approached kids. Why'd he do it??

Roiland is an idiot who let the power go to his head, that lengthy exposé made it all very clear

I think the issue is wanting a network to profit off of firing a co-creator in general by wanting them to hype up and get ratings over the new voices by making it some mystery to get more attention on a dying show. It's a really crappy move even if the guy was a dick so seeing people intentionally want them to do that is stupid.
You people are defending the wrong fucking guy. There's a laundry list of problems with Roiland that are unrelated to him beating his wife, being a shitty boss and showrunner is at the top of it.

>During San Diego Comic-Con 2023, producer Steve Levy stated that Roiland's voice work will be replaced by "soundalikes"
Watching the new Solar Opposites, I actually like Korvo's change to an angry posh brit, he's way more his own character now instead of angry stammering Roiland voice #835
But Rick and Morty are too iconic to do a funny switcharoo on like that, it's gonna be like what they did with Cleveland, give it to an eCebel streamer or Yotuber who can do the voice 90% simular
My problem with Brit Korvo is that he sounds a bit off using so many Americanisms. I guess they switched it out late in the game so the dialogue was stuck. He sounds more natural in the opening scene and the opening title rants.
>it's gonna be like what they did with Cleveland, give it to an eCebel streamer or Yotuber who can do the voice 90% simular
I fucking wish. That Sean Kelly guy could do a GREAT Morty, and they could always just let Dan Harmon take over for Rick since Kelly can't really get that voice right. Doesn't sound like he could even get an audition with Adult Swim tho. I don't know if it's because he's not already part of SAG like what happened with the Hazbin Hotel original cast, but it still feels like the biggest missed opportunity: https://youtu.be/STsET4CAiys
Honestly the new Cleveland sounds pretty great. And so many people have said that if no one had pointed anything out, they wouldn't have noticed any change at all. The Simpsons sadly shit the bed with the Hibbert and other replacements but I have faith we'll get good ones for Rick and Morty. Might still feel weird at first though.
It's a parody of the Bad Boys film poster where the female informant is flanked by the two male leads. All it tells us is that playing up the hunt for Prime is their marketing strategy so far and they're sticking to it. Everyone should know by now that means there are two episodes where they bring it up and the other 80% are self-contained adventures.
i hate how nobody seemed to actually understand the point of pickle rick, like the show has never really reached too far on the "depth" factor, but people saw pickle rick and went "oh, yes, surely this is sincere, and all about how cool it is. There's no way I'm missing the point entirely". It's tiresome, is what it is. I felt like they were pretty blatant about it being intentionally lame and unimpressive, and rick having to literally risk his life to try and make it cool just so he could have an excuse not to have to try and actually better himself, because he's a man-child, and not an aspirational figure. It's not exactly a difficult concept, and it seemed like so many "fans" completely misunderstood and became fucking insufferable. That and the fucking szechuan sauce. THE POINT was that it DIDN'T MATTER. Fucking morons.
I am sure this has been said a million times, but I am kind of over Rick and Morty and have been for awhile. I loved the first few seasons when it was about wacky monster of the week style adventures, but now the lore is up its own ass, way too much. I did enjoy Rick's backstory, but they keep undoing Rick's character development over and over again. I feel like they just don't know where to take the show. They also completely wasted Evil Morty by waiting years to even touch on it.
Season 6 did a lot for Rick's character tho. He started opening himself up to Morty after the whole Central Finite Curve shit, but it still took more effort on his part to address his issues by willingly going to therapy, including the rest of the Smiths on more adventures, and officially treating Morty as an equal by inviting him on his lifelong hunt for his nemesis. As S6 rolled out, I admittedly dismissed it as them "backpedaling on Rick's character development," but now I think I can respect it as a slow burn for him finally making big moves for himself and his loved ones. Bettering yourself takes time, and I just hope these new episodes actually enforce that for good now. I want to FEEL a significant change in how he interacts with Morty now that they're essentially on the same level.
The Evil Morty stuff only feels dragged out because each season takes so long to come out, but the writers have always reminded us that they had plans for him in store. Story Train def played with our emotions, but it also confirmed that he wasn't forgotten, and I really liked how he was handled when he really did return. He's not the show's Big Bad, so I never obsessed over Evil Morty like most fans did. I'm happy with his arc.
It doesn't change much. The same writers who've been pushing forward with the story and character dynamics are still very much present. I have faith in what comes next.
>Rick and Morty are back and sounding more like themselves than ever! It’s season seven, and the possibilities are endless: what’s up with Jerry? EVIL Summer?! And will they ever go back to the high school?! Maybe not! But let’s find out! There’s probably less piss than last season. “Rick and Morty,” 100 years! Or at least until season 10!
>>Rick and Morty are back and sounding more like themselves than ever! It’s season seven, and the possibilities are endless: what’s up with Jerry? EVIL Summer?! Sounds like shit.
If they weren't gonna throw us new footage just yet, then they should've released an actual poster that emphasizes the epic RICK VS. RICK PRIME angle they originally teased instead of some parody image. This doesn't arouse much excitement tbh
Summer is really annoying. >inb4 you just hate women
I actually like beth now that the whole relationship plotline with Jerry is dropped. Space beth is cool too. Summer is just annoying, 90% of her scenes is just her trying to be Rick Jr. and she just comes off obnoxiously edgy - like when she dumped on Jerry during that camping episode.
Speaking of Jerry, him and Rick basically have the best dynamic in the show now.
Not him (I'm the guy he's replying to) but I hate new Morty too. He bounces back between a more annoying version of how he was back in season one and his season 3 self where he's just as jaded and obnoxious as summer but a tad less edgy.
I was also starting to hate Summer the more the show went on, but I think it was just her scenes with Jerry in S3-4 that left a bad taste in my mouth ("beta-male sexist" and the camping rant). Looking back tho, that first one was earned since Jerry really did fuck things up and dragged his kids into his mess, not too different from the Taddy Mason joke where he tried using nostalgia to mooch off of Summer.
Summer isn't perfect (honestly no one in the family is at this point), but she does have plenty of highlights in the later half of the series:
>being a careless klutz in the Dragon realm >becoming queen of the Face Huggers because of her convenient toothpick and having to awkwardly save Rick and Morty in the end >fighting over the sci-fi goggles and invisibility belt with Morty >accidentally making Nimbus buff as he was kicking Rick's ass
Even the best episode last season was a stealth Summer story. She's easily the weakest of the family, but she still has her moments. Die Hard was lame tho, and the two sperm episodes were just unfunny gags stretched out for longer than necessary, one having a forced attempt at feminist commentary with the other being a callback to one of the worst punchlines in the series. That's just what you get with the show: some stinkers amid some solid episodes. Very little consistency.
the gotron episode was really good for her, I thought she did great, like the plot and her motivation overall made a lot of sense, and I liked how morty was right, "that doesn't mean him liking you makes you good" but it resulted in summer understandably lashing out at him, like that all worked really well. Plus we got a lot of fun visual gags with the other ricks, like "little ricky wrap-it-up". Plus it's always fun to see Rick get sincerely excited about something, I kind of always wanted a single bit in an episode where we find out Rick's favorite band is something mundane and fairly uninteresting like Oingo Boingo or something, those are fun character moments.
I think Naruto really soured an otherwise fun episode. I do like it when Summer's Rick bootlicking blows up in her face, and Rick getting overly invested in something stupid is definitely something I'm always happy to see. It's why his rambling monologues at the beginning/end of seasons are always a delight. Maybe I'll give Gotron another watch and try not to let the climax define my perception of the episode's overall quality. But you do agree that Rickdependence Spray is one of the show's weakest tho, right?
Oh absolutely, the potential for an incest baby was a funny gag, but then they had to actually have sticky make it and that was exactly the point where a scriptwriter should have intervened in the development process. Also, it straight-up doesn't make sense, because Naruto is huge, but is otherwise a normal human baby. He's only huge because the sperm were huge and they had to make her egg huge to match. Outside of that, Naruto is an entirely normal human baby (incest aside). How the hell is he surviving in space? Couldn't they just shrink him the same way they enlarged the egg? The whole thing makes absolutely no sense.
>Coming out the same month as the LatAm Adult Swim/Toonami channel
They probably would tune in since I doubt people who watch this dubbed care if Roiland got fired
it'll just result in some forgettable garbage about "latin american life" that'll look like some knockoff family guy art style or tuca and bertie or whatever. I'd like to imagine that these kind of cultural groups had some vibrant untapped well of potential and original ideas, but I feel like they're the same kind of uninspired rubes everyone else is. They'll just end up making "latinx Paradise PD"
From all the Spanish articles and interviews with the people behind the channel that I read it seems that the channel would be divided in 4 "blocks", one for the Adult Swim original animations which I assume is the main one, one for "gaming" news, one for DC animated shows and movie and Toonami for anime, they seem to be promoting Toonami the most tho as opossed to their originals
Part of me feels like it's a possibility just by the sheer suspense on Roiland getting replaced only for it to be revealed he still has the role to troll everyone, but I really do think it's gonna be someone else and they acknowledge the voice change briefly in the show just like Solar Opposites.
Nope! They did a whole "wormageddon" thing as a hype machine in the lead up to a couple seasons back, it had a whole scavenger hunt and everything, and they implied these cosmic worms were going to be a season-wide threat, and it was actually pretty funny because it sort of implies a whole other rick and morty are out there working hard to protect universes from cosmic worms while our rick and morty get high and play videogames, and I am into that.
I want them to replace hi for one season then bring him back and have Rick lampshade at end of the first episode. >"Yeah, we're back, baby! Season 8! With the original voice actor! The real deal! It's not-it's not AI, it's real!"
Hey remember when Jerry offered Summer a s'more while the family was camping and she responded by not eating it and instead verbally ripping him a new one and making him cry? Also related question, why is Summer such a stupid cunt?
Season 4 and 5 were unbearable, Season 6 was only half good. Curious to see if they can bring it back now that they have to actually face the idea of ending it. I feel like the shittiness of the last 3 seasons can be chalked up to the fact that they knew they were rewnewed until season 8 so they had to stretch it
>now that they have to actually face the idea of ending it
Lol nope. Rick and Morty is literally untouchable. It will always be Adult Swim's most profitable cartoon, and not even Smiling Friends can outshine it since that show is too niche and Newgrounds-esque to garner as much appeal with general audiences as Rick and Morty does thanks to the latter's mix of weirdness AND conventional storytelling. They can keep RaM going for as long as Adult Swim will allow 'em and that anime is still fucking happening
Oh man.
I dropped the series after season 3. It's hard to believe there are going to be more episodes I've missed than watched soon considering that the quality has only gotten worse from what I've heard.
Then again, Big Mouth made it to season 8.
Who watches this shit?
>I dropped the series after season 3. It's hard to believe there are going to be more episodes I've missed than watched soon considering that the quality has only gotten worse from what I've heard.
You made the right choice. I tapped out after the season 4 finale. The comedy, serialized/dramatic elements, and characterization were so bad it was hard to find anything redeeming about it anymore. It wasn't until I saw fanboys cream themselves over the season 5 finale that I got back into it, but I find it just barely entertaining enough to stick around. Season 6 was an improvement over the two before it though. I guess that's not saying very much. I keep watching because >I started watching from the season 1 premiere and used to speculate about the future of the show, and the future is now so I might as well check it out >I hope it can somehow get better again >I like watching the show wrestle over what it wants to be and try to correct its mistakes >I like following the behind the scenes drama >it hasn't gotten so bad again yet that it trumps the aforementioned selling points
If none of these apply to you, there's nothing to gain from watching the new seasons.
>no Roiland
Yeah I am not watching this
>no incest situations
The show drops to a 0/10 for me
That was the other guy
>anon not realizing without roland it'll be even more incest and less somewhat funny situational humor
Were the charges fake or did he actually do it? Off the top of my head of charges that ruined a man for no reason were Tobuscus, Elmo's voice actor, Johnny Depp, and that's all I can think of.
Jonathan Majors.
Nothing of value was lost
Wow, they'll never find someone who can replicate a WOOOO WEEEE! I'M MR SLOOPY DOOPY voice
They’ll use AI.
I don't care about Roiland leaving because I wasn't going to be watching anyway
>still trying to force Summer in like she's a badass
And they still have Sci-fi Beth too right? It shouldn't have taken until the recasting, people should've dropped it at the very least by Beth getting a badass Sci Fi clone of herself. This show suddenly treats the dumb female cast like they're above everything.
One of my theories is that the Sci-fi clone of beth was a plotline that was changed, probably something Roiland and Dan thought themselves and it was later change.
The fact beth is a murderous psychopath never comes really in to play, the same way it also barely plays much with the themes of the original series.
Do you really want more Sci-Fi Beth?
Jerry is supposed to be in that show too
yes, the episode where beth fucks herself is the best episode of the show for me
handcuffed and probably freed from the grasp of alien tentacle monster....um yeah she's bad ass
Wasn't it in a Season 3 promo one of the newer female writers said something along the lines of, "Morty is boring to write for because we don't get him. We like writing for Summer because she's a girl and we like seeing her be a badass!"

>wanting to put someone in psychiatric care because you said a fictional character deserves to be suffer
Do Americans really?
Why are you thirdies so obsessed with America?
Reminder these people hate you and want you dead
>nooooo Finn stopped being a gary-stu, ruined forever
The poster is a parody of bad boys, stop having an outrage over the minimum thing
>stop having an outrage over the minimum thing
The synopsis of the season is already saying shit like "EVIL Summer?!?!" They've been acting retarded with Summer for awhile.
I know what Bad Boys is, dickhead. They've been pushing Summer for a while anyway and it's annoying.
Just rename the show Beth and Summer.
>worse, you're smart
ABCs of Beth should've been when people dropped it if nothing else beforehand.
Female rep is a necessary burden for current year Adult Swim
Representation is just Affirmative Action by a different name: shitty quality is the end result.
Reminder the Supreme Court of the US ruled that Universities using Affirmative Action was unconstitutional.
EXACTLY. They brought the same shit back with a new name.
By the end of this shitty show Summer is just going to be the main character, isn't she?
Obviously.
Why would you put the sister in the middle, Rick should be in the middle for proper balance and eye flow because of his height.
>summer in the center and in focus
Rick and morty Died at the first episode of season 3 when reddit got a hold of it and never let it go, now all we are doing is seeing AS drag his mangled corpse around parading like the corpse of a dead champion so everyone knows it failed and it's dead.
in the center and in focus
It's a reference bud
I wonder how Roiland will affect the ratings. The last season's ratings were abysmal

Any rumours about who the new voice is?
Michael Cusack
God if only. They probably picked some boring literally who which would fit shitty writing.
Bushworld Rick with nobody acknowledging it would be pretty based
I want these, but Warburton as Morty, doing the slow iteration of his voice.
Trying to get the exact same voice is a fools game. Audiences will know somethings off and subconsciously dislike it. It's better to get someone who can carry the spirit of the character. That why pic related
Gary Sinise could also work, he voiced Shaw in Open Season and Shaw was Trevor before Trevor.
They didn't do that with Solar Opposites. They made Korvo a fuckin Brit due to a dart to the throat. Is this what they plan to do with Rick? Contrived throat injury to justify new voice actor that sounds WAY different?
They're gonna have to do that to Morty too.
Seth McFairlane
patrick warburton
Holy shit he sounds pretty much identical
Anyone who still watches this, I hope you know, you're not immune. They're coming for you next.
this honestly would be half acceptable.
>it'd be hilarious if a network fired a creator of their hit show over metoo allegations and then used it to hype up their show for even more ratings and attention
Don't forget he's still scamming Redditors with NFts
I don't work for him so I don't fucking care. It's his cartoon (or at least it should be) and he should run it how he wants.

>Dan Harmon take over for Rick
Dan sounds nothing like Rick. Plus more people will accuse him of being a blatant self insert.
MY NAME IS RICK SANCHEZ
Dan should get drunk and do all the Roiland voices because he’d be terrible at it and that’s be hilarious.
>obsessed with piss
>sexualizes underage girls
Piss Master was supposed to be Roiland, wasn't he?
>underage girls
?
He wanted to give Summer, 17, a golden shower
Isn't like? His power? Is like calling Vilgax a child abuser because he pounded a 10 year old in to submission.
Violently punching a child does count as child abuse
Punching?
Fighting a mutual combatant child with powers that can equally hit back is not abuse.
So you are saying it's okay as long as the kid can not only take it, but probably also initiated the abuse?
I can't say I disagree, but that's not very PC, anon.
Well, real-life laws don't have any stipulations on the Omnitrix, but don't act as if Vilgax would be above child abuse.
>real-life laws don't have any stipulations on the Omnitrix
They should
Yeah but he did say it in a sexual manner
I mean, he's already a galactic dictator. Child abuse would be a drop in the bucket.
>she is 17 years and 364 days old you sick fuck!
What's funny is that Roiland did want to fuck Summer.
Everyone wants to fuck Summer, especially the writers.
She was his favorite
>That small ass
Man, that shit is fucking sad, American cartoons seem afraid of having female fanservice for the most part at least on recent years
dude, it's just her with a small ass. in cartoons only moms have big asses. white people prefer small asses (generally)
Dude there is constant ass in everything.
YWNBJ
do you actually want to fuck these primitive cartoons you spastic ape
That's Dan Harmon's thing.
summer in the middle........i see.
>Summer on the poster
They're actually forcing this shit character?
What a fucking disaster
>They're actually forcing this shit character?
She's been part of the main cast for 10 years. Get the fuck over it.
Summer's glowup has been one of the better parts of the later seasons
I'll be interested when they release a trailer, a poster parodying bad boys won't get me excited. Might as well be a fan-made poster by some fan.
They're still trying to make summer a character?
>animation is clearly high budget now
>still the same shitty roiland character designs
they fucked that one up eh
>S7
it outstayed its welcome in S2
Season 3 was good, though.
Was it? I stopped after S2. Won't resume either.
started to decline in season 3.
but anon, pickle rick is the most funniest shit ever.
i hate how nobody seemed to actually understand the point of pickle rick, like the show has never really reached too far on the "depth" factor, but people saw pickle rick and went "oh, yes, surely this is sincere, and all about how cool it is. Fucking morons.
>half the thread is people talking about Ben 10
Show the age and mentality of R&M's detractors.
Yeah, sucks that Roiland got booted right as the show was starting to get decent again
It doesn't change much. The same writers who've been pushing forward with the story and character dynamics are still very much present. I have faith in what comes next.
https://wbd.com/adult-swim-sets-global-premiere-date-for-season-seven-of-emmy-winning-animated-comedy-rick-and-morty/
>Rick and Morty are back and sounding more like themselves than ever!
That's a cope LMAO
Is it cope or making light of a tragic situation in a meta way only Rick and Morty can?
If they weren't gonna throw us new footage just yet, then they should've released an actual poster that emphasizes the epic RICK VS. RICK PRIME angle they originally teased instead of some parody image. This doesn't arouse much excitement tbh
what did he mean by this?
I can't be the only one who thought the twist made it hotter, right?
what's that from? I don't remember ever seeing noob-noob again.
I think it was from shorts that are on YouTube that give these dudes a backstory. There's 5 or so.
>90% of her scenes is just her trying to be Rick Jr.
She's just Morty but without empathy and more unhinged than Rick.
Mary Sue female. Morty works because he's an insecure sperg.
Summer isn't perfect (honestly no one in the family is at this point), but she does have plenty of highlights in the later half of the series:
>being a careless klutz in the Dragon realm
>becoming queen of the Face Huggers because of her convenient toothpick and having to awkwardly save Rick and Morty in the end
>fighting over the sci-fi goggles and invisibility belt with Morty
>accidentally making Nimbus buff as he was kicking Rick's ass
Even the best episode last season was a stealth Summer story. She's easily the weakest of the family, but she still has her moments. Die Hard was lame tho, and the two sperm episodes were just unfunny gags stretched out for longer than necessary, one having a forced attempt at feminist commentary with the other being a callback to one of the worst punchlines in the series. That's just what you get with the show: some stinkers amid some solid episodes. Very little consistency.
>the camping rant
Yeah, that one was a little too heavy.
the gotron episode was really good for her, I thought she did great, like the plot and her motivation overall made a lot of sense, and I liked how morty was right, "that doesn't mean him liking you makes you good" but it resulted in summer understandably lashing out at him, like that all worked really well.
Make sure your personal reputation is squeeky clean or they'll steal your idea and drop you on a rumor
?si=1FA1KJQBCqCaQqdh
From all the Spanish articles and interviews with the people behind the channel that I read it seems that the channel would be divided in 4 "blocks", one for the Adult Swim original animations which I assume is the main one, one for "gaming" news, one for DC animated shows and movie and Toonami for anime, they seem to be promoting Toonami the most tho as opossed to their originals
I bet $100 that Justin Roiland is still the VA. That's the funniest outcome.
Part of me feels like it's a possibility just by the sheer suspense on Roiland getting replaced only for it to be revealed he still has the role to troll everyone, but I really do think it's gonna be someone else and they acknowledge the voice change briefly in the show just like Solar Opposites.
remember when they hyped the "cosmic worm" stuff? A total troll?
I don't remember this. Do you mean Worldender from the Vindicators 3 episode?
Those seemed more like the usual unrelated shorts.
I want them to replace hi for one season then bring him back and have Rick lampshade at end of the first episode.
>"Yeah, we're back, baby! Season 8! With the original voice actor! The real deal! It's not-it's not AI, it's real!"
>we're back, baby!
Who'd they get to voice Rick and Morty? There's no way this doesn't sound jarring as fuck.
sexo with summer
leave request
comics and cartoons?
Hey remember when Jerry offered Summer a s'more while the family was camping and she responded by not eating it and instead verbally ripping him a new one and making him cry? Also related question, why is Summer such a stupid cunt?
It was cringe because it tried to present Summer as someone on Rick's level of attitude and not as an obvious tryhard.
They can keep RaM going for as long as Adult Swim will allow 'em and that anime is still fucking happening
>airs on my birthday
I'm offended by this. Fuck you Adult Swim.
test post
Have they announced who’s voicing the characters?
Rick and Morty? This show is called Beth and Summer, morons.
But why?
Still got 3 more emmy winning seasons to go
I keep watching because
>I started watching from the season 1 premiere and used to speculate about the future of the show, and the future is now so I might as well check it out
>I hope it can somehow get better again
>I like watching the show wrestle over what it wants to be and try to correct its mistakes
>I like following the behind the scenes drama
>it hasn't gotten so bad again yet that it trumps the aforementioned selling points
If none of these apply to you, there's nothing to gain from watching the new seasons.
grass tastes bad
This season should be nothing but dicky and incest
what dicky?
lol RIP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_itzI9694Y8
Why is Morty such a whiny little bitch?
BUT YOU ALREADY KNEW THAT!
>more Summer Mary Sue shit
Ded show.
