They don't want to downscale their lives. Just being that rich costs a lot of money for upkeep. Imagine all the HOA fees, property taxes, property management, etc. It would cost them millions a year to just exist and do nothing.

    >battle

He had strokes that fricked up his brain and he's been in steady decline since at least 2018. There's no battle: he's lost. At this stage he's just a big toddler and can't even form words. Last vid showed him outright missing a tooth which likely came from a fall. He'll either fall and bang his head enough to kill him, or just slowly lose motor control until his body forgets to breathe and spend a few months hooked to a machine.

Oh yeah. I notice this with babies as they grow up, but in the opposite direction. Newborns are just these ptoatoes that cry and scream and are pretty mindless. As they get a bit older they get that light in their eyes and they start to explore and play and figure things out through cause and effect.

Well if you wanna be this picky about it, then it's medulla at the bottom of the brain stem. Either way, dementia causes degeneration of the brainstem.

You do realize it's your brain that regulates bodily functions like breathing and your heart right?

      Anonymous

Yes. When you see someone with dementia you're usually only really seeing the early stages of it.
Eventually dementia gets so bad people stop being able to function. Like literally they forget how to do basic things like moving. Then they forget things like eating and drinking and eventually they can even stop remembering to breath. Most people don't even make it to the final stages of dementia because they're old and spend months and months just being a total potato in a bed somewhere, so their body just withers away and they end up dying one day.

I was heavily involved in my grandmother's care until she passed last year. Dementia and its favorite cousin Alzheimer's slowly takes away every part of your life and what makes you human until you're practically a vegetable that will quickly wither and die.
It's an assured death sentence, the only thing that can be done is to make them as comfortable as possible for the end. I'm intending to make arrangements in the future so that if I'm ever diagnosed, I'm put down as soon as I start losing significant functionality. I'm not putting anyone through what I went through with my grandma and I'd rather die before being a husk.

probably NAC (to clear out the toxic metals*) and psilocybin to promote growth of new greymatter, or buff the general plasticity of the remaining matter so it can pick up the slack.

*not sure if it's effective against aluminum poisoning though. it carries some kind of charge on the molecular level that allows it to draw out certain elements from where they settle in the body and create problems/interfere with electrical signals and nerve impulses and such.

An area of the body that doesn't get regular nerve signals will die. It's why crushing injuries are so bad. Massive nerve damage, even if the bones can be splinted back together.

Because as a disease it's already poorly understood, and on top of that it's impossible to "test" for precisely, difficult to test treatments (hurdle of the blood-brain barrier) or closely study (since that's going to occur primarily post-mortem)
In addition the timeline that it develops on is extremely long, sometimes 25+ years, so by the time you realize something isn't right it's too late to really do anything

This is good advice. We watched my grandmothers best friends husband slowly fade over the course of like six years. This dude was incredibly well-spoken and intelligent, could debate with you for hours about various topics and by the end he was just like a baby again. It's fricking horrifying, bros. My grandmother is eighty and thankfully still sharp as a tack, but reads and does puzzles every day to keep her brain ticking.

My grandma is 90 and is just like Dory, can't remember anything that has happened 10 seconds ago lol. At least she's still somewhat independent, can walk and do the basic needs by herself

              >does puzzles every day to keep her brain ticking.
my grandmother worked hard against her dementia, which was heart-related rather than whatever seems to be poisoning everyone these days.

she ended up like the guy from MEMENTO in that everything was covered with post-it notes as a kind of externalized memory system.

weirdly, she even had a photo of Joe Pantoliano with "do not believe his lies" stuck to it. must have been a secret Matrix fan.

it's not even genetics all the time. I'd recommend not taking knocks to your noggin. wear a bike helmet, seatbelt, avoid poor health choices that can lead to strokes.

It's poisoning you absolute fkn twat.

Robin Williams' brain was swiss cheese by the end. They only revealed that because his obvious suicide necessitated a coroner's report which are publicly available. Everyone else just goes straight in the ground/incinerator to cover for whatever's really causing it (think the Asbestos Scandal x 10 million).

You really can’t. With cancer you at least have a way to stop it by cutting the infected parts but with dementia you would have to identify and individually replace each dead neuron without damaging the rest, which at the moment is impossible.
All you can really do is enjoy the last moments of your life before your consciousness slowly burns away day by day.

      >Did his name appear anywhere in the Epstein e-girlta express flight logs?

No. But also Epstein was a huge israelite narcissist with delusions of grandeur, so he ran like 20 futurist, science, and trans-humanist, charities, so he could hob-nose with rich people and they would beg him for money. I don't think Steven Hawking was there to screw teens.

We know who was in his inner circle fricking teens: Prince Andrew, Alan Dershowitz, and his right hand lady. Anyone else is a tossup.

Rumor is that he's the guy Bill Murray's character in Lost in Translation was based on.
So, if that's representative of his type, his tastes were married, 20-ish yr old girls with very heavy italianate looks (Sophia Coppola while she was married to Spike Jonze).

If he was in Japan to make commercials and rail Japanese chicks he wouldn't have given her a second look. Also the movie shows him hooking up with an older society barfly, so it suggests even more heavily that his main pick-up zone was hotel bars. Which makes sense, he used to be a barman and a bouncer. And he always had that bearing of a fun guy you'd meet in a bar. Part of his mass appeal presumably.

Bad (Great) 80s Coke and booze. Billy Connolly is going the same way. All the big 80s party guys took a shot in the brain from the chemicals in circulation back then. Robin Williams went first bc he was the hardest partier of them all by all accounts.

It was extremely sad how she just recalls some memories from time to time...sorry for blogpost

There's no cure for dementia. There are several things we know about it though:

    1) it can be prevented if you keep your mind active during your elder years. Reading books, learning a new language, excersise and/or playing chess regularily are all ways to keep your mind spry and healthy. Ubfortunately a lot of people in retirement do nothing and rot in front of a TV which obviously doesnt help.

    2) booze and deliriant drugs such as benadryl increase the likelihood of acquiring dementia. Nicotine and caffeine seems to help prevent it.

    3) The leading theory on how to "cure" dementia might have something to do with something called "synapse retrogenesis" which is a theory that essentially means your synapses in your brain are unraveling and untangling due to dementia, and reverts you back into a child-like state. Like the opposite of forming synapses as you get older and mature. The theory goes on to state that if there were a way to reverse synapse retrogenesis, it could lead to a cure for dementia. Currently at this time no such cure exists, only preventative measures.
