Donald divorced Kiefer's mom right after he was born to go bang Jane Fonda (and others), he was an absent father until Kief got into acting. They probably had more of a professional relationship than a father-son one.

Donald Sutherland fricked his co-star Julie Cristie on camera in Dont look Now. He was as big a degenerate as any star in the 60s and 70s. He just had that dumb doberman look about him that made him seem cuddly.

          from an admittedly poor memory:

Donald's character joins a scientific expedition on a very isolated island to try and find out what really happened to his father. Others are trying to find out the same thing for very different reasons.

fun fact: they used to play the frick out of that movie in the early days of HBO.

My dad showed me this movie when I was around 5/6 along with Monty pythons holy grail. All the adult humor/nuance went over my head and I played in my yard or with my toy army guys pretending to be kelly and his squad fighting the nazis. As I got older I appreciated the film because it humanized the guys involved on both American and German sides as just guys caught up in something bigger than them so screw it man let's make some money off it. >The 1990s one is awful
I think I saw it, but I don't remember it. My brain protects me sometimes from movies that are even below MST3K standards.
But yeah the original is good too, but it's just too happy for me on that note, but not saying it's bad.

It's one of the best horror movies ever made. I wish Donald got more leading roles, this is a theme with character actors who came up in the 60s and 70s, so many of them should've been lead actors much more than they were. Donald Sutherland is at the top of this list

nah, it's ok I guess, typical hollywood, a bit too sentimental, it's mainly worth watching thanks to Sutherland slimeballing it, like the other anon said, he's pure grease in this flick, u wanna neck him every time he shows his face

its the same with his character in Novocento (1900), he sure knew how to play a villainous character

The reason they said no to your demands.
To ask for more men, or computers for that matter, is to admit to our superiors in Moscow that we are overwhelmed, which they will never do.

To ask the FBI for help is to admit to the West
that we are behind in both forensic techniques
and to managing information, which they will never do.

And to publicize the case is to admit that such crimes exist in the Soviet Union.
Which is the one thing they would rather die than do...
...publicly admit that anything is wrong.

If you'd watched it you'd know it's not a non-sequitur because it's heavily camp and queer. If you did watch it and still couldn't draw the connection you're a literal moron, but we already knew that by your overcareful punctuation on Cinemaphile you pseud homosexual

                >anything colorful or bizarre = gay
Why would you even watch Fellini if this is your mindset, and why would you draw this association with Casanova instead of the actually fricking gay Fellini movie?

                Anonymous

Fellini is well known to be camp you actually moronic dumbfrick, I really can't help you understand this if you don't already I'm sorry

                Anonymous

Broadly defined "camp" doesn't automatically equate 1-1 with Amerimutt drag queen assfricking. Fellini is camp and carnivalesque but that doesn't give it explicit assfrick overtones unless you want to force-fit that interpretation. The few times homosexuality explicitly shows up in Fellini it's portrayed negatively as hedonistic.

You think like a fujoshi who wants to imagine everything is gay.

                Anonymous

You're a literally moronic person (not joking) who is massively confused about something that wouldn't confuse anybody else.
                Drag queens are camp.
                Fellini is camp.
That's the connection. It's literally that simple. Nobody said anything about assfricking. You're moronic.

                Anonymous

It's an aesthetic connection that's broadly understandable but seeing Fellini and having drag queens be the first thing that comes to mind is odd. Does Jodorowsky make you think about trannies too?

I wish they released the real cut of Kelly's Heroes. Something like 40 mins ended up on the editing room floor. A big gap between Odd Ball showing up to him having lost 2/3 of his men. Also there were supposed to be a lot of breasts shown in this movie but it didn't happen because of the GP rating. I love this movie so much but it could've been so much better I think. Also this publicity pic from Spain shows a clearly RAF pilot I presumed was shot down.
