Realistically how big is this going to grow? How many comics will they regularly putting out? I don't see his creative team capable of putting out more than 3 books this year and no one outside his own insiders have read the first comic yet.

I've been reading Miles Morales comic since he got to 616 but considering what I could about how stereotype they made Viking heaven when he became Viking superhero I think I'll skip this comic.
What comic?
the one off What If comic that people are fake outraging over
RIppa fricking hates Miles Morales. Referring to him derogatorily as "Peter Darker"
>Peter Darker
Get off his dick, Tom.
I frankly do no expect this comic to be that good, but I hope at least it can give some funny memes
Hype dies after issue 2.
You're going to read every issue when they get storytimed here.
Maybe, but we sure aren't going to buy them.
It's a physical release only. Eric doesn't want to do digital and believes that comic books are a physical medium.
is 2nd book still be isom or some other title?
I Rippaverse for she.
I just wanna know more about Alpha wiafu
such a blatantly traced piece of shit.
Volume 1 will be big. Volume 2 might be big. Everything will be downhill from there.
The problem with his business model is that we don't know how fast he'll release books, and paying for shipping every time will become quite expensive in the long run.
He seems to be going with the European bandes dessinées way of doing his comic; only releases the trades once in a while instead of doing single issues like American comics. The problem with that is that we have no consistent release schedule and don't know what to expect.
Another issue is that since you can only buy his book through his website, that means you have to pay for shipping every single time and for people outside the US, that means that the cost will basically double thanks to shipping rates. I'm in Canada (eh) and his book is $35 and shipping costs the same so it's $70 for a single book.
I don't know how much Euros have to pay for overseas delivery, but that seriously limits his market.
See that does not sound good when people are talking more about shipping and distribution of a comic instead of the actual storyline and characters.
To be fair, we don't know all that much about the story yet so there's not a lot to talk about on that point.
And his business model and distribution are very important things to consider if he wants to have an impact on the industry. The best book of all time is worthless if it can't be read by anyone
He should get them on Amazon after this first one.
Given we're talking about independent press, which lives and (more often) dies by it's (in)ability to distribute, I'd think it's a sensible choice of topic to talk about. Heck if Rippa's actually looking into it that'd point to him being marginally less of a grifting scumbag than literally everything else about the Rippaverse.
Yeah, people are giving him a pass on the first one, but unless there's interest in comic book shops and printing internationally, the shipping is gonna be a problem in the long run.
Comic book shops are dead.
I live in San Diego where comic shops are in almost every mall and spread thru the county. Rippaverse needs distribution in SD
Given he's been more than open about his stances on the big issues I can't imagine any distrubitor would want to work with him. He'd have to make his own network exclusively for his product and people who side with him who also make product.
Maybe he can make a deal with liquor stores that sell lotto tickets. That seems like his demographic
>Maybe he can make a deal with liquor stores that sell lotto tickets. That seems like his demographic
This is what people who jerk off to socialism think of the working class.
>Black folk are socialists
Are you moronic?
>I can't imagine any distrubitor would want to work with him
He could shift them through Drivethrucomics or something. He'd make less per issue, but the shipping costs to overseas buyers would be about 10% of doing it himself.
>muh politics
Escape from Terra is an openly ancap comic - that's on DTC.
If he is as "anti woke" as I hear I assume he is going to fail. Not because being against it is inherently bad but because his product will suffer from the same issue as the "woke" stuff.
If you jump through hoops to include certain things that aren't relevant it's the same as jumping through hoops to exclude it. Your rail roading the plot and characterizations around ideas that such only be important if they come up naturally.
Though I will say this shit is everywhere. Clearly some shills are at work
look dubs I just don't want to read comics by people who want drag queen story hour.
He's a grifter, plain and simple.
>black writer with no experience writing comics
hard pass
But he's on your people side. I thought you guys loved house types.
With talent, not this
You can't have both.
Lol we don't get talent no matter what anymore. Everything's shit you might as well pick whoever doesn't want to put you in a prison camp.
Who owned the slaves?
Who sold the slaves?
>Who owned the slaves?
Are you asking if a singular person own slaves?
Apparently he’s already trying to get movies and video games going so I feel he’s going to crash and burn for being to ambitious
what the frick is an isom
short for "I want SO Money"
>muh buzzwords comic book
Laughable at best.
There are no buzzwords anywhere on the Rippaverse website.
Remember, anything that is not aggressively pushing leftist propaganda at all times will be labeled as unreasonable, extreme, and outrageous.
People were treating the presence of a cross on one of the character's clothing as a sign that the comic was nothing but a political screed.
Yes anon, it's everyone else's fault that non/anti-woke is the only selling point.
Continue to seethe that people dont want to read your superhero themed lesbian bike riding anthology.
When will this board stop endorsing naggers comics?
These people can't speak properly, write or draw.
Real comics are by and for the civilized races.
Stop endorsing bix noobs.
You know if he actually prints this exact picture, Marvel will sue.
>Realistically how big is this going to grow?
Maybe one issue every couple months, if you're lucky
Why are liberals so against this even though they have their blm, troony shit?
They are agents of a demoralization effort against young men and masculinity.
I'm a conservative, I'm against Rippa, but not the comics.
Why? He's a Libertarian that doesn't even vote because its participation in the system.
He makes some things in comics sound like they're seriously racist but they're really not. I never cared for Miles Morales in the comics, but the character does not cause racism.
Who is "against it"? Like, where are these calls to have it be cancelled or whatever?
He's friends with Jeremy from Geeks and Gamers. Jeremy is racist
Ok? How does that answer my question
Is it true the critical drinker is writing for this.
I mean he fits the bland shit only dull white guys would read.
>$50 for a one (1) comic book issue
This is going to fix the industry.
