I'm not critiquing liking A1 or T1 more, I'm saying that A2 or T2 in no way "ruined" the first films in any way, the way that Highlander II ruined the first one by making them all aliums, or the prequel trilogy ruined the first by making them all Power Rangers with Midochlorian counts.
>ruins the originals by changing their messages >actually the aliens are super easy to kill and she can even deal with the Queen >actually the past can be changed >let's remove all the awesome horror from these movies and replace it with decent 80s action
Yea, but the characters and dialogue aren't up to Tarantino standards, or even good. Serving as a giant technical and visual masterpiece with no acting, character development, or backstory works so much better.
Part 2 has Bud and that whole section is kino. So is that Chinese dude. His section is in the second movie also. Best part of the first movie was the making of her sword and o-ren's intro.
I agree that Budd and Pai Mai or whatever are the best parts of Vol. 2, but that doesn't bring it up to the quality of Vol. 1. Almost all of Vol. 1 is good, the worst part is sushi restaurant and it's to serve as an introduction to Hanzo. Or maybe the scene where Lucy Liu cuts that dude's head off, but that's kino and grotesque.
Tbh I got bored of the overlong 1 vs 100 fight scene. It was fun at first, but drug on for me. Could've just had a really involved fight with that girl/guy duo then the school girl chick and then had the final showdown. It just felt annoying how she was untouchable in that scene but gets her ass best up in others. Idk
It's literally meant to be that way, I don't really know how else to say it. It's tongue-in-cheek, which I can appreciate it not being your thing, but it's literally meant to be exactly what you described.
>Budd was the only person that could put her down.
budd was such a great character. definitely the best part of vol 2. i also find it interesting that budd was the only one that beatrix attempted a sneak attack on, whereas for the other assassins she faced them head on.
>actor who was killed comes back to play completely different character
How often does this happen? Kill Bill, Deadwood and I guess Beerfest are the ones I can think of right now, though that last one was for a joke so not sure if it counts.
Kill Bill 2 is way fricking better what are you talking about. The scene where Bill is talking about Superman and shit is so fricking kino
Nah, I thought Kill Bill 1 was a huge deviation from a Tarantino movie at the time; he obviously can work actors and can make dialogue -- Pulp Fiction came out almost 10 years earlier. He showed he could master fricking every aspect of film and refer back to the art and history of film as a whole, while still poking fun at himself. With RZA on the music production too? Insane.
Kill Bill 2 is just a western.
based take
pai mei was awesome though
I imitate his laugh sometimes and people don't know
The only thing worse that a sequel to a comedy is a sequel to a comedy that came out like 20 years after the first.
the wet hot american summer series was pretty good
Yep and after 10 years the 2 female stars are more attractive than 90% of females 10 years younger.
Not everything was bad
This is bait
It is, but some people actually believe that.
Only homosexuals being contrarian towards Based James.
>take awesome horror movies
>make decent 80s actions movie sequels
T1 > T2
A > As
Cope.

Basically one movie and it isn’t as good but still pretty good
everything to do with Bud in that movie is kino.
They both good flicks,
It was originally going to be only one long movie so technically not a sequel
They're two parts of the same film. Not as great as Pt 1 but it completes it.
I liked part 2 better. The first one is kind of a manic fantasy.
I like that it starts with the protagonist beating up an ugly black girl
Yea, but the characters and dialogue aren't up to Tarantino standards, or even good. Serving as a giant technical and visual masterpiece with no acting, character development, or backstory works so much better.
Tarantino is dogshit.
And what are you? Some Villeneuve fanboy?
What kind of normie are you, that that's the first director that pops into your head?
It's the first director that comes to mind that would care to stack rank non-arthouse directors from the 20th century.
>The first one is kind of a manic fantasy
Is that supposed to make it sound bad?

The movie is a homage to old action tropes, and fighting a hundred mooks and taking no real hits is as classic as it gets.
It's literally meant to be that way, I don't really know how else to say it. It's tongue-in-cheek, which I can appreciate it not being your thing, but it's literally meant to be exactly what you described.
This is specifically called out in Vol. 2 where Elle says that she regrets that Budd was the only person that could put her down.
>Budd was the only person that could put her down.
budd was such a great character. definitely the best part of vol 2. i also find it interesting that budd was the only one that beatrix attempted a sneak attack on, whereas for the other assassins she faced them head on.
Go-Go was so fricking cute.

The Raid movies. Mad Dog is Prakoso in the 2nd.
Training sequences are the best part of both movies, but otherwise part 1 is better
part 2 was the better part moron
>exposition for a half-baked character that Tarantino and Uma made together that's whole purpose is to be a gorgeous blonde that's good at sword
But KBv2 was the better movie. Not that KBv1 was bad at all.

Kill Bill 2 is just a western.
Also, two Wilhelm screams in the Crazy 88s fight? Kino.
>Kill Bill 2 is just a western.
That's not a counter argument for it being bad. It being a spaghetti western is a fact.
Kill Bill 2 is way fricking better what are you talking about. The scene where Bill is talking about Superman and shit is so fricking kino
>The scene where Bill is talking about Superman and shit is so fricking kino
Frick off, capeshitter.
You have to be 18 to post here, easily baited child.
Says the homosexual squealing about fricking Superman.
Part 2 is infinitely better. Part 1 is cringe and 2edgy4me
The Cruel Tutelage of Pai Mei is peak tarankino. pt. 2 is great
ngl, i really love the concept of modern day westerns with japanese inspired assassins/tropes. want more shit like this
Um, bro? It is the first one. That's just volume 2.
>first one
It's all one movie
