In both seasons the best episode is the pilot.
The fight against the three construction workers with the sledge hammer and "hell broke luce" as soundtrack in s1 was fanfrickingtastic and really punisher. The bathroom fight on s2 was the highlight of that episode with the rest being meh and the rest of the season being garbage.
The Punisher is supposed to be a sociopath/psychopath who fell in love with combat and killing people during the Vietnam War. While traumatized by his family's murder, he uses it as an excuse to continue the war experience at home. Almost every on screen adaptation gets this crucial aspect of the character wrong because they want to make him into a semi-sympathetic action hero instead of a Jason Voorhees-like grim reaper type of character.
don' know about the Voorhees aspect but I'll take Ennis Punisher any day. hell, not sure why they didn't make his Nick Fury Max into a series. shit would have been great.
