>Also it went way over budget and I heard the advertising costs were included in the budget figures
Probably the studio finding a way to finagle out of having to pay Miller his bonus hence why he sued them.
Disney had the biggest flop of all time just last yeat (the marvels) so their shills are happy to find themselves some company. Furiosa is a much smaller flop though
Kung Fu Panda 4 made more than 3 and GvK is tied with Skull Island for the highest grossing of the Monster verse franchise. Deadpool, Inside Out 2 and Joker 2 will all do well. Nobody wanted to watch Furiosa. It's that simple.
*biggest flop of the year so far
I don't think there's anything with the potential to bomb as hard as Furiosa for the rest of the year. Gladiator 2 maybe?
Regardless of what any of you think of Furiosa, a dogshit watered down corporate movie like Garfield being the winner between the two is terrible for everyone. You can't say that Furiosa was not on some level a project Miller actually wanted to make, whereas Garfield is your standard corporate slop. And FTR I was even curious about the Garfield movie, but if you've seen it you know that it's all the shit Cinemaphile claims to hate: Garfield barely feels like Garfield, Jon is practically absent from the movie and it's otherwise a watered down "family story", and isn't even good at doing that.
Shit movies making money and good movies flopping is just business as usual. If people around here actually liked movies they'd stop obsessing over the box office so damn much.
This just proves cinemas are dying, it's the only explanation. There's no reason for people not to want to spend their time and money on feminsta horseshit in 2024. No, it's the audiences who are wrong.
Garfield made 155 mil so far and did more than Furiosa both internationally and domestically
With less than half the budget.
Yes. With essentially 1/3 of Furiosa's budget
Perhaps but not that much. Check out the archived threads
Ironically far less people on Cinemaphile watched Garfield than Furiosa.
Should've cast Pratt as Furiosa.
Haven't watched it but ofc ATJ as the main character looking grimy and butch harmed the movie's box office a lot.
who keeps making these threads
Trannies anon, trannies
But kojimber said it was better than mad max
Shit like this needed to happen so it hopefully does not again.
*biggest flop of the year so far
Is there any potential competition? I have no idea what's coming out this year.
A pessimist says "things couldn't get any worse"
An optimist says "oh yes they could"
What site is this? (showing you the box office stats)
Cinema Take Libido
It was just okay. The best part was the scene on fury road and we had those and better in the other one.
>Actual kino gets made
>People don't watch it
What causes this?
It's dogshit
but I watched garfield
>Not even a third of Fury Road
Lol. This made $483m adjusted for inflation btw
Also it went way over budget and I heard the advertising costs were included in the
Budget figures

It really did go over budget though do to weather delays in Africa which caused the budget to balloon

To what question?
>Haha, a good movie lost money
Why are we celebrating the death of cinema?
>good movie
>Implying
But Furiosa isn't a good movie. The Fall Guy was better than it.
Cinema died along time ago
Disney had the biggest flop of all time just last yeat (the marvels) so their shills are happy to find themselves some company. Furiosa is a much smaller flop though
More like Bore-iosa.
Furiosa is doing so badly that Apes was able to have more staying power and will break even. Thank you Miller for ensuring more Apekino
Has any movie this year made any profit?
Cinema is dying, anon
Yes. Dune, Garfield, GvK and Kung Fu Panda 4 off the top of my head
Some smaller productions here and there but the only one that made considerable money was Dune 2.
Kung Fu Panda 4 made more than 3 and GvK is tied with Skull Island for the highest grossing of the Monster verse franchise. Deadpool, Inside Out 2 and Joker 2 will all do well. Nobody wanted to watch Furiosa. It's that simple.

Yes. The movies you mentioned and those anon mentions here
have made money. Late Night with the Devil too. But there have been much more flops and movies that underperformed this year.

Everyone fricking loses.

In 2009 you had to go to 61st place to find a film that made less than 100mil.
It's 15th so far this year
Transformers was kino though
It needed to make upward of 400 million
What were they thinking

No it means women don't want to watch female led action films. They all flocked to Barbie and Taylor Swift
Men don't want female lead action movies and women really don't want female lead action movies.
who the frick cares about Furiosa?
Well, nobody.
Clearly no one. Should've given us another Max then released the spin off in between the next Max film.
i gave my biggest nut of the year to anya. i will just wait till i can rent it for $6
