Are you retarded? Peter Bradshaw is a middle class 60yo English guy not a capeshitter. The standard English middle class person hates anything fantasy or sci-fi.
It's a broadsheet, retard. Still full of shit when it comes to certain things, though.
I like the soundtrack, I like the visuals (floating rocks, mechas) I unironically like the story (it's simple, nothing complicated).
I don't get why there are so many people that hate this movie and are in a crusade to spread "how bad it is" on the internet. Like, this is an original IP with a director that still cares about making movies. I don't understand the massive love for Disney/StarWars/marvel and the massive hate for Avatar.
>redemption of the lier in a minority community cliche sucks >NO, IT IT'S MY BELOVED CAMBELINO'S MONOMYTH
I guess you like capeshit related youtube bloggers
The mismatch between the bleeding edge visuals and high tech on display, and the simple Nickelodeon tier story and characters, is a big part of the problem. Avatar attempts to be very sophisticated visually but its script, dialog and story are quite basic and unengaging unless you are 12
a lot of movies are good because they dont try to overcomplicate things. It's why most movies are shit nowadays where every movie tries to subvert expectations. I recently watched Django. The villains are obviously villains in the wrong and the heroes are obviously heroes in the right. And there's no retarded subplot. It was a fun and engaging movie
I've never hated it exactly, but there was a lot of bad blood generated from when it was actually new. It created a new subset of furries who honestly believed they were fucking otherkin na'vi and were shitting up the internet with that garbage.
Naturally garnered a lot of hate, so the movie did too by extension, and that's never faded out even if most people forgot that shit happened.
This. Simple stories are great, but the whole native good colonizers bad trope had been stupid for like two decades before this movie came out. Movie might've been better if they showed the benefits of humans coming to Pandora, but because this is America the
Invading force has to be cartoonishly evil.
Lol fucking Guardian always baiting hateclicks
Never forget their Thomas the Tank Engine article >when the good engines pump out white smoke and the bad engines pump out black smoke – and they are all pumping out smoke – it's not hard to make the leap into the race territory
I don't know, man, they seem pretty damn yellow to me. Maybe it's the all vegan diet or something. I know natural teeth aren't retarded blind-your-eyes white like they do in burgerland, but this is way too yellow.
>my 90% animated movie is better than your 90% animated movie that came out twenty years ago.
Marvel drones are really pathetic. FYI avatar has always been shit and just an animu ripoff.
I also watched it in 3D. First and last movie I ever watched in 3D, don’t think I’ll do it again. It’s not that impressive. My parents had a 3D TV and I never saw an entire movie with it, I just tested it.
I guess I’m just not a big enough film geek.
>“Not everybody is a film geek like I am where you sit down you put the glasses on by yourself and you just watch a whole movie which is more what the theatrical experience is. So, it kind of got out of step,” said Cameron.
I loved the first one, this chick I was seeing didn't like it so decided to keep my dick in her mouth for the whole film. I came three times before I had to stop her
i'm pretty sure every james cameron's movie since and incuding titanic has been shat upon by critics prior to opening, and later becoming the biggest movie ever up to that moment.
>grauniad
don't post tabloid shite like that

it's broadsheet in name only
not interested in a tarq's opinion in any case; you and your ilk destroyed the country
Meds

the go to response of every leftist when they’re losing the argument.
go fuck yourself retard.
He's not wrong.
Why does Avatar make mentally ill people so angry? You see it all the time on this board. A single pro-Avatar post and they start typing paragraphs.
It reminds them that their taste is shit.

I liked the movie, but wasn’t impressed as much as everyone else because I was already familiar with FernGully which is very similar.
To me it is more pocahantas rather than fern gully.
Always seen it as a fern gully ripoff myself
I know its bait , every time its bait , they know exactly how to trigger me . sending me into a spree

there it is, the mindless brown cattle of the future has spoken

It’s a white man’s burden movie, and nobody likes that shit.

Yeah, and it was widely mocked in the comments section.
its culture journalists are idiots to a fault but its readership is mostly decent.
Sorry that black is the universally accepted color for evil.
I agree it sucks but why is he reviewing a 13 year old movie? No one felt the need to review A New Hope when The Force Awakens was coming out.
It just got re-released
Did you get your tickets anon?
I never saw the 3D version when it originally came out, I'm excited to see it in 4K IMAX.
yes!
just got back from watching it. the world will once again know king cameron
People doubt based Cameron. How many times must he teach them this same lesson?
wow james cameron must be very tall
late growth spurts due to vegan diet
Nah, he was always a tall fucker. What's up with his teeth, though? Is he a chain smoker or what? Shit's nasty.
that's the natural color of teeth, he probably just doesn't whiten them. also he's standing next to avatars. those things are 9 ft tall
I don't know, man, they seem pretty damn yellow to me. Maybe it's the all vegan diet or something. I know natural teeth aren't retarded blind-your-eyes white like they do in burgerland, but this is way too yellow.

There's a massive rise in antisemitism on this board.
Can't wait for you guys to face the legal system.
the movie is literally made for you to go see it in IMAX
that's the whole gimmick
I think some people miss the point
I also watched it in 3D. First and last movie I ever watched in 3D, don’t think I’ll do it again. It’s not that impressive. My parents had a 3D TV and I never saw an entire movie with it, I just tested it.

the movie blows chunks, almost every mcu movie is better
>t. watched it in 2D
Basically they’re mad because there’s no trans people in it?
don't care, will be renting out the whole cinema to watch the next avatar.
Journalists truly can’t wait to shit on Way Of Water. Lmao.
I loved the first one, this chick I was seeing didn't like it so decided to keep my dick in her mouth for the whole film. I came three times before I had to stop her
>Muh cutting edge technology
>No blue pussy or nipples in movie
Why even bother
Why are mentally ill people so obsessed with this mediocre flick forgotten in the dustbin of history?
i'm pretty sure every james cameron's movie since and incuding titanic has been shat upon by critics prior to opening, and later becoming the biggest movie ever up to that moment.
Pretty based, to this day I don't understand an obsession with this flick. One of the weakest of Cameron's work.
Avatar was 6/10 at best. Never understood the totally organic hype for it and now this sequel that is ten years too late
>Salty as fuck capeshitters
Pretty much, same critic
