It's great scifi. Heart in the right place. Relevant without being preachy.
I'd like them to go back to old scifi and fantasy worlds though... the sort of stuff dreamed up in '70s-'80s UK/US... beautiful matte painting vistas of nostalgic breathtaking places brought to life.
Not sure if Orville is the right show to do it, but it's the closest one since every other show has its heart in the wrong place, or lacks common sense, lacks humility, or is just full of angry boastful posturing or unbearable cynicism.
It was better when it was funny. That way it was more than just social commentary as heavy-handed as it is nonsensical. The writers are terrible at writing dilemma plots.
Finally got around to watching the finale tonight. I was surprised the big episode with the Krill-Moclan alliance attempting to wipe out the Kaylon wasn’t the season finale but I get it ending on a less serious episode that ties up some loose ends at gets some jokes in. The girl from Twitter planet was a good side story to have some more serious sci-fi stuff going on and I liked them showing exactly why you can’t try to jumpstart a civilization
Really hoping they green light a fourth season. I want to see more shit going on with Krill and the new girl getting to experience outer space for the first time has potential for interesting stories.
I swore that if they did one more episode about sexual politics with the gorilla aliens who are all male, I was done.
Somebody told me that they did another one in season 3. Is that true?
>I swore that if they did one more episode about sexual politics with the gorilla aliens who are all male
They have multiple episodes centered on that in season 3.

Couched in between homosexual not-Klingons sex story and pervy human robot sex story was a pretty decent explanation of the workings of the TNG era economy.
Nice job Rey MacFarlane. Thanks for bypassing the compressor.
she looks so fat in that picture.
She looks so mole in that picture.
Why didnt their marriage work out?
IP count says OP posted twice ITT.
Found ya.
wrong
Mean these two
Wrong and incompetent.
Objectively correct and superlatively puissant.
Assuming that one line from the finale was improvised, the person you date and the person are two different people.
are normies really complaining they made it serious?
The humor of the earlier seasons was pretty good

I like The Orville because it mogs the FRICK out of Star Trek
I wish they didn't take the Lords name in vain so much, but I hope they get a Season 4
Owing to the number of rat folk in the business it's inevitable, don't fret though anon, you will have the rest of eternity to enjoy without them.
>*saves sci-fi*
You meant to post this.
What episode of Rick and Morty is this from?
The one where Seth's cuck show for cucks gets BTFO
They really gloss over how the blue dude kinda date rapes people
Yeah it’s a bit weird that everyone seems to know that’s something his species does but also they can just get away with it
I was hoping they would bring Darulio back in the last season. He was one of the funniest characters.
not even people on /trek/ like this shit.
It's literally more popular than SNW and ORV combined

>Twitter planet
reddit planet, twitter doesn't have upvotes or downvotes
>le I hate modern Star Trek so much I'll pretend The Orville is the greatest show ever just to make it clear how much I hate modern Star Trek
The Orville is dogshit. The fact that nu trek exists and is perhaps the worst thing in the history of television doesn't make The Orville not dogshit.
>Onions-fi
I enjoyed the earlier seasons but this is pretty much about to burst into musical episode territory.
It lost all charm. No norm, no need
She's just wearing her hair differently, why do I find her so much more attractive?
> Goes off the air for three years
> Returns and immediately gets cancelled
did they bring her back?
yes cameo for the wedding
