I have never watched the Clone Wars and anything else set between Episodes II and III, should I start with the original Clone Wars (2002) or with Filoni's 2008? AFAIK the original is not a part of a new SW canon, but is it any good? I don't like the original's extremely cartoony 2d art, but I guess if the story is good, I'll be okay with it. So, where do I start?

Filoni Wars was made with the expectation that its audience would have already seen Genndy Wars and other then Genndy's Nelvaan storyline not really having a place anymore, they can work together in broad strokes decently enough.

Start with Genndy's, and don't even touch the 3D one. If you think artstyle of the 2D one is ugly, it's absolutely nothing compared to the ugliness of the 3D one, and unlike the 2D version, it doesn't have good animation to carry it regardless of what you think of the artstyle. In regards to canon, the 2D one was originally canon, and fits into the films infinitely better than the 3D one which creates a rabbit hole of continuity issues that can't be resolved.

          Thanks, I guess I'll watch Genndy's then.

I'm sorry I ever thought Dave was good when he was actually just working as a mouthpiece for Lucas.

He should stick to cartoons and Disney should give up on live action SW entirely.

Congratulations Filoni, you've proved that Hayden can act and find his footing emulating cartoon characters.
Doesn't stop the fact most of your scripts are shit.
