I dont get why the telepathic creature needs Kamen. Pretty good show otherwise.

Their entire race is built around psychically enthralling lesser beings to get them food and in exchange they feed them their black bile. This is pretty explicitly and clearly shown. The main little fricker was bullied by a bigger fricker who stole his previous thrall so when he found Kamen, a much bigger thrall, he took him and used him to get big and fat and become king fricker.

        >, he took him and used him to get big and fat
Why though? He can just lift a prey animal in the air and drop it on the ground so it dies.

They don’t have killing instincts, they only get that from they’re psychic bond with they’re thralls

          >Why though?
At first it was to get back at the big fricker that stole his food, then later he was just corrupted by Kamen's' guilty and self loathing due to their bond

          >Why though? He can just lift a prey animal in the air and drop it on the ground so it dies.
Their telepathic and telekinesis powers exhaust them and they can be used sparingly.

I don't think it's in their nature to kill. kamen corrupted the little frog.

          >I don't think it's in their nature to kill. kamen corrupted the little frog.
It already had teeth for meat eating, also in the first episode when it leads Kamen to the cave, little forest creatures are terrified of it and try to hide away.

Why exert energy to go get food when you can just exert a little bit of energy to enslave a little b***h and have them get you infinite food? Tons of parasitic beings work in a similar fashion. You aren't nearly as smart as you think you are.

Cool story bro. What happens when there are no other creatures to control? Guess the telepath creature just dies instead of foraging and hunting for himself.
All he has to do is lift up the prey animal into the air and let it drop. It can lift up the prey, break its neck, and float it over to itself.

Holy shit you are so moronic, that would mean their entire ecosystem has collapsed, no creature could exist if every other creature was dead. Goddamn why are you so stupid? Did you go to public school? Were you dropped on your head as a child?

          >Tons of parasitic beings work in a similar fashion.
          Name 4.

Having others get your food for you is like...the definition of a parasite you fricking moron
Tapeworms steal the food their host consumes instead of getting their own food. Same goes for Flukes and other worm parasites, they just live inside a host and eat the food their host consumes.
Leeches, Fleas and Ticks all work similarly too, where instead of going to hunt their own food, they just sap the blood from other creatures who have already gone out and found food and turned it into a usable resource for them. They are probably the most similar to the frickers in the show since they can be parasitic to multiple creatures at once. God, you're dumb.

Thats not the same as mentally controlling another creature, which is what we're talking about. You're stupid.

uh no we weren't, I was specifically talking about, and I quote
"Why exert energy to go get food when you can just exert a little bit of energy to enslave a little b***h and have them get you infinite food? Tons of parasitic beings work in a similar fashion."
Which is what the parasites I listed do, never did I say other creatures use psychic abilities that don't exist in real life, goddman your reading comprehension is abyssmal, no wonder this show went over your head LMAO

Sam was never potrayed as bad and Kamen was clearly redeeming himself at the end. The black woman was blatantly shown to not be smarter than everyone, wasnt able to fix her robot at all (the planet did that) and was tricked multiple times.

The old white guy was good, dingaling

The old white guy was constantly portrayed as hot-headed and incompetent, while his female counterpart was constantly "rewarded" for interacting with the planet.

The redheaded white guy was hardly shown as redeeming himself. Flashbacks make him out to be selfish, cowardly and urge the watcher to hate him for it.

Black science woman was shown as an unstoppable force of nature.

I don't know what show you watched but it obviously wasn't the same one as in the OP.

This animated series will rightfully disappear into obscurity soon. It was absolutely mediocre in every way. Frustrating characters with almost no depth besides the 'villain'. Full of sci-fi cliches relating to stranding on a hostile alien planet. The plot is constantly moved along via stupid decision making or Murphy's first law. Some fun and enjoyable world building, but even that is inconsistent and absurd. The art style is both ambitious and bland, ending up as an inferior homage to Moebius. It goes on too long and is not quite clever or original enough to match its overall tone.

      Anonymous

      >Frustrating characters with almost no depth besides the 'villain'

They all had a lot of depth, most of it was just subtle and not given via exposition which is why a low IQ Black person like you didn't pick up on it.

Sam felt like he had a duty to everyone on the ship to save them or at least honor them, to the point where he hindered their attempt to get to the ship just to bury bodies they found. He had given up on love to pursue his career / need to wander. His sense of duty informed by his past experience where another crewmate died due to a mysterious skull / omen he didn't take seriously. Ursula was unable to ever flat out admit her feelings for Sam, learned to be more sensitive to / honor the dead and had to learn to become a leader and take things into her own hands instead of just following. Levi literally learned how to be alive, gaining a deep connection to the world around them. Azi, in the first time in her life, had to form a real lasting connection with another being (Levi) instead of just sequestering herself off, which in turn made her realize she genuinely cared for the woman she banged on the ship and it wasnt just a fling, and even grew some motherly instincts when it came to the young scavenger. They are "frusturating" because they are human and not the paper thin morons you think a character should be.

      >Full of sci-fi cliches
It really isn't, it was one of the most original things I've seen regarding scifi alien survival.

      >The plot is constantly moved along via stupid decision making or Murphy's first law.
This is just flat out incorrect. There are tons of instances where things do not go wrong and they are able to peacefully and successfully navigate the fauna (Azi riding among the heard of stampeding creatures, Sam and Ursula riding the giant walker, etc.). The plot is moved along by characters trying to pursue their goal.

You're fricking stupid. Like really stupid. I think maybe movies and television are above your IQ level.

Not really, maybe one a few, but most don't. Also real life truckers do not have any armed guards and neither do cargo planes lmao

          >Lifeboats today also aren't at risk of crashing on planets with hostile alien life
Neither are these usually, this only happened because on guy made a stupid mistake

Why keep making comparisons to real world, you utter moron? Where people are subject to international and maritime law, where there are friendly naval and police forces. In what possible universe does it make sense to send unarmed civilians into space without any kind of self-defence capabilities. They even talk about setting up colonies as part of their job, showing up to a planet with no way of killing hostile wildlife makes no sense. Why die on this hill, when you're obviously wrong? You're telling me not one of these people aboard the ship was packing heat when they're all American? moron, keep shilling your mediocre show.
