Can a gnomish person explain to me the purpose of films that are clearly not intended to turn a profit?

So the creators and their friends can sit around and jack themselves off about what good filmmakers they are while funneling as much of the production budget into their pockets as possible.

      Lmao same.

It's like purposefully designing the least appealing movie possible

      >I got like a visceral primal flight reaction to that name alone.
The title was chosen deliberately to provoke this reaction, I saw it here on teevee and thought "women talking? me not watching!" and literally three anons had already made that joke on that thread. This is some Jungian shit we're dealing with bros

The movie takes place in an extremely conservative village (in the year 2011) where women aren't even allowed to learn how to read yet there's still a chud living there and noone cares.
Evert man in the village is a rapist, ALL OF THEM, that's the plot, the only exception is a literal cuck who wants to an hero because Rooney Mara would rather have a baby of the guy that raped her than give a chance to some Nerd.

      >the only exception is a literal cuck who wants to an hero because Rooney Mara would rather have a baby of the guy that raped her than give a chance to some Nerd.
It's very clear that from they way they treat him, the only "good" man among a village of rapists, that they see him as less masculine and as a laughable joke.

This was written/directed by women. wtf are they trying to say?

        >wtf are they trying to say?

They're trying to say that women are all stupid and shallow, and they judge you based on appearance alone. It's funny, because women are worthless compared to men, and so women are the ones who should be judged by appearance. I do judge them, and that's why I dislike 99% of actresses. Start treating women the way they treat men and they may learn something. If you don't want to do that then you're part of the problem.

The worst thing about this movie the nerdy male character. He's helping them come up with a plan to escape while all the other macho rapist men are away and you'd think they'd respect him but no. They're constantly mocking and yelling or laughing at him and it's very clear that they see him as being less of a man compared to their rapist pedophile traditionalist husbands. He has a crush on a woman with someone elses rapebaby and he offers to look after her and the child but even she rejects him.

It almost feels like he was written to blackpill men on how women actually think and how you have to be an asshole or somewhat violent to get respect and love from them.

This hurt to watch because I am kinda like this guy and this is probably how women see me.

      >This hurt to watch because I am kinda like this guy and this is probably how women see me.

That's why you should hate women instead of defending them. If you love one in particular then you can defend her, but the rest are worthless. If they're not the wife and mother of your child, what's their purpose? Never be a simp, buddy. You help a man and he respects you. You help a woman and it's entirely possible she'll never respect you, because you're not Chad. That's the difference, and it's why women are lesser.
