The plot of 1977 Star Wars is "there's a big planet shaped base where the empire put all of their stuff, and there's a big button in the middle of it that blows the entire thing up!". Literal moron shit. It's all bad, and if you like any of them you should go to jail.
Nothing against her personally, but Disney is using casting to decide their scripts rather than using scripts to decide their casting. They basically say, “We want a black woman as a main character, so we need to insert this new donut steel into a show about Obi-Wan Kenobi.” They have been doing this since TFA when they changed Finn from white to black and made Rey the main character. I believe Lucas’ original concept for Episode 7 had Finn as a white (not that it ultimately matters) ex-stormtrooper who becomes a Jedi. I think Rey was only added and made into the main character because KK decided that the Force is female, and Star Wars is supposed to be for girls now. The same thing happened in TLJ when RJ created the Rose character because he had a crush on some Asian girl in high school or something. Putting the story first, and then hiring actors based on who is best for the role, is not something Disney thinks is important for Star Wars.
