more normies are realizing the the binge watching model is vastly inferior to how things worked on syndicated television. stranger things season 4 is a massive hit primarily because they split it in 2 parts and allowed people to enjoy the first episodes at the same time
They will do this more, no doubt.
I wish they'd experiment with slower than a dump but faster than once a week
like try every three days and see if social media keeps up and people feel FOMO'd into not falling behind
The weekly model is worse than the binging model, which are both worse than the superior model I have been spreading the good word of throughout Cinemaphile: daily releases (6 a week, so 24 a month), so people can both be on the same page each day when discussing shows, allowing dedicated episode discussions, while also receiving their content expediently, as close to at once as convenient. This is the future, once streaming services get their shit together.
>Zoomies and Millennials all cut cable and herald the era of streaming and bingewatching
>now want scheduled programming and are even okay with built-in ads
>be me
>shows release at midnight in murica
>it's 5pm where i live
feels comfy man
based
feels great to live in a first world country
'Sup fellow ausgay.
9pm what
And we wonder why society is collapsing at an exponential rate. God I wish these whining brats could experience true hardships just once in their life
there's data showing that whatever is trending overnight gets a boost when the europeans and americans start waking up. your product will trend for 18 hours instead of 12. it's called momentum media or some shit, we learned about it in my intro marketing class last spring
imagine what the israelites actually know if this stupid shit is all they let the goyim know in class
goys are too stupid to understand basic concepts so I don't blame them
cope mutt larper
if that was true they would have no need to be sneaky baby israelites and hide shit
it’s obvious they are little pussies who rely on rat like cringe behavior to sustain themselves
but it’s always a cycle and they will be cleaned off the earth again before god resets the movie again
>implying people in marketing class know anything
i’m saying if they do know anything it’s only a fraction of what the actual israelites know
i’m sure stat fed ai based systems have been making our reality for years at this point while they steer based on esoteric rules passed thought generations
some adrenochrome drip fed 200 year old israelite sits frozen in a robot suit made of nanotech placed in the bottom level of a pyramid watching numbers on a screen and shifting societies direction and aesthetic with a joystick like playing a mashup game of guitar hero and sim city
i saw next to this fat, ugly, antisocial prick at my last job. he loved game of thrones but always missed the premier, so i watched it just to frick with him. id watch the episodes before he could and then talk loudly about spoilers with another coworker right next to him. when someone died id practically yell it at him, and you could see the seethe in his eyes. when greyjoy killed the dragon and i spoiled that, he got so mad he flipped out on me and had to leave the office for a while. good times
Disliking some dick at work would still never induce me to watch GoT. It would feel like cutting of my nose to spite my face.
You're literally Jim
you're a bad person and are going to hell
God hates fat and ugly people, or else he wouldn't have made them fat and ugly. That anon is doing the lords work and will be duly rewarded in heaven.
found the coworker
I'm gonna do that with arcane and other garbage that autistic frickheads enjoy and don't want spoiled.
I'm confused by this person's shitbrain writing -- is the season out now? Is that what she's saying?
>Eu get them a 9 am
Feels good
It's not the fault of zoomers, because it's just what they're used to now, but the streaming/binge-watching model really did irreparable damage to television and how it's discussed, appreciated, and enjoyed
>irreparable damage to television
Good, television was already a cancer.
What's wrong with binge watching? I don't even bother with shows unless I can sit down and watch as long as I want. If they want to piecemeal that shit to me I'll wait for the whole thing to come out and then binge. Or more likely I'll just forget the show exists. Very strange business model, I don't get it.
The weekly model:
>gives you time to think about the last episode
>builds anticipation
>makes you more invested
I tried the whole binge-watching thing for a while, but it's so deeply unsatisfying. You burn through an entire season in a few days, tops, so you barely have time to think about individual episodes before the next one, it all becomes a blur. You've just experienced what used to be a year's worth of entertainment and then you have to wait 2-3 years for the next season, during which most of that time there's no meaningful discussion or you just forget about it entirely.
Read my solution, sir.
No longer feasible, when was the last time a streaming-only show went for more than 10 episodes per season? No one now is going to sit through 24 episodes anymore, that ship has sailed. Streaming/binging has made people too impatient and destroyed their attention spans (see OP's screenshot)
If i was going to sterilize an entire group of people, first on the list would be anyone with a Netflix subscription.
>What the frick is Netflix thinking?
Who gives a shit?
I feel really bad for people like her, and anyone on this board that lives like this (which is a majority of the user base). You have nothing going on in your life besides consuming media. “Waiting around” for a TV show? God I would probably run away from home if that’s what my life becomes.
>Being excited about something
ok gay
she looks too old to be watching kids shows
