>Shelby Oaks
>budget 2 million
>box office 50 million
>propells Stuckmann to Hollywood status
>he gets given 5 million dollars and can do whatever he wants for his second film
>makes another horror kino to really practice his craft of kino
>box office smash
>now for his third film he literally has the power to ask for a A-lister like a Jake Gyllenhaal, Chris Hemsworth or Mark Tuffalo, doesn't mean they have to agree, but he'll be in a position to ask the studio to hire them
We live in a timeline where its actually possible that /ourguy/, Mr Stuckmann, could be making kinos with Brad Pitt one day, if everything goes well with Shelby Oaks. Think about it
>executive producer: Mike Flanagan

Shelby Oaks for MOTY, just wait!

I'm excited that Chris Stuckmann is basically taking it into his own hands to craft a unique story for us to witness in the theaters instead of Thor 8 and Avengers 10. Not that those projects are bad, I'm just sick of them. I want to see unique content. Unique ART.

I know most of the anons here agree with me whether or not you appreciate Chris' endeavor.

No way. Look at the size and scope of Stuckmann's fanbase. Shelby Oaks will be the most profitable Critic turned Filmmaker movie ever.

Distribution is a go because Mike Flanagan producing it and low budget horrors almost always make money. If they give this movie just a little marketing push, this will be one of the most profitable films of the year if not the number 1.

Distribution is coming because of who's producing it and low budget horrors almost always make money. If they give this movie a little marketing push, they're looking at one of the most profitable films (budget to profit ratio wise) of the year.

Mike Flanagan is “producing” because he gave some money to the kickstarter, he’s not actually involved in the production, moron.

*sigh* I remember in like 2017? YMS said his goal was to make a short film as a warm up and then ultimately a whole-ass movie. Flash forward to today and it's nothing but reaction clips and watch-alongs. I should have stuck with the man. 🙁

I think the thing that gets everyone about Stuckmann, and I see this with him moreso than any other YouTuber out there really, is that he's clearly such a midwit that almost anyone who knows anything about film could probably make a more competent movie if given the same resources, but they can't and won't because they aren't a famous YouTuber with a bunch of fans willing to give them $2 million to make a shitty horror movie. The funny thing is that Shelby Oaks might be a success even if it's bad, assuming Flanagan actually manages to get it some distribution, because the budget is very low and a big enough release will make a profit against a $2 million budget.
So like, I think it just triggers people to see someone who is like a room temp IQ idiot that wears anime and Star Wars shits and has the most vapid, pedestrian takes imaginable about films, whose success comes more from him just being one of the earliest YouTube reviewers and giving milquetoast, bland opinions, moreso than from his personality or insight into movies, potentially have success here when many people know, or at least think, they're probably smarter and more talented than Chris but simply will never get this kind of success, and will continue to just imagine the movies they want to make in their heads while working their wageslave jobs.
It's kind of like that feeling where some moron you went to high school with just randomly lucks into marrying a hot wife or having a job where they make tons of money.
