Not them specifically but an X-Files reboot could be kino.

The original worked because it was from a very specific moment in time when people were still very naive and open to ideas but they wrapped all the supernatural crap in very logical and relevant topics.

We are now entering a moment in time where people are much more aware of the reality of the world and it's lack of aliens, ghosts, etc but much more anxious of things like AI, conspiracies, media manipulation, etc. It would be interesting to see how a serious zoomer X-Files would work.

      Unironically end yourself

It's what they do now. Rehash old ideas. Over and over and over.

I know, they already did it once to X Files. Let's not encourage another attempt by talking about it. They might think there's an audience for it.

No, a serious show that isn't a procedural court-room drama and also eschews campy wish-fulfillment should be made in a way that younger people can enjoy.

Sure, but why would that need to be an X Files reboot? Do something new.

Sure, but the X-files is a good formula.

Zoomers see more in 1 day than people 20 years ago would see in a year, they are basically pro-bono investigators

A show that is all about how the government is controlled by shadowy conspiracies might be hard to get funded in today's political climate. Been that way since 2001, in the 90s there were all kinds of media about how "reality isn't what it seems" and then after 9/11 suddenly it seemed like all the shows and movies were about cops and soldiers. Back then it was the rightoid pro-war cucks who were all for the establishment but nowadays the leftoids are pro-establishment and enamored with national security agencies.

I don't want to see anything old again until the entirety of the current crop of media writers, directors, etc are dead or jobless.

Before season 10 I would have said yes. Now absolutely not. IWTB isn't a great movie, but it nailed the look and feel while also staying true to the characters. Seasons 10 and 11 are a giant mess on every level. It's over.
