    >The Boys are so called heroes that wanna do what’s best for the world
    >they go all in on the only guy who can take out the immediate threat to the world, Homelander
I mean, why? Cause…of toxic masculinity? You can cry about him all you want but at the end of the day, his attacks were caused by PTSD, he’s not gonna go around terrorizing civilians like Homelander easily could do. And we’re supposed to see MM and Starlight as the ‘good guys.’

Butcher didn't want Ryan to die, the others didn't want him to blow up the tower. Try buying a brain.

Get him out of there then, maybe if he did his son wouldn't be learning to be a mini-Hitler right now.
        >The others didn't want to blow up the tower.
But oh yeah, it's better to have him allauh ackbar above a busy street.

Soldier Boy even had a reason - Bill Cosby, whom Soldier Boy praised as America's Dad, roofied Soldier Boy and raped Soldier Boy.

seriously, his biggest crimes were what, being a massive butthole? some of the worst attempts at making a compelling anti hero ever, he didn't rape anyone or murder anyone that didn't try to murder him, literally the ONLY thing he did wrong was be a douchebag, and they sided with homelander over that

      Anonymous

It was a bit bullshit, but Butcher's conflicting interests with Ryan are what fricked him over. If the kid wasn't there then it would've been fine. I still don't know if he should've sided with Homelander though, he probably would've been fine if he had.

Never thoughts I'd say this, but holy frick, comic Butcher is so much better.
For as much as an edgy c**t he is, he at least has an ethos. Not a nice one, but Butcher is an actual sociopath that happens to veer his sociopathy in a constructive way against worst people
He's the final villain exactly because he's too far gone and can't change
And they changed him for what? Ti characterize an inconsistent pussy that literally says "my wife's son?"
Jesus, comic Butcher would've killed that little kid in an instant

Aftet that tweet one of writers/showrunners made about Hugie wanting powers b/c of toxic masculinity its safe to say that show is about to fall apart due to massive and inconsistant homosexualory infesting the writers

    Don't forget
    >gives the boys a unique way to depower Homelander - they don't even have to kill him
    >one side goes "we have to defeat soldierboy because he's too dangerous", the other goes "we use soldierboy, no matter the collateral damage!"
    >none of them seems to consider luring Homelander out somewhere secluded, even if they have many options to do so, and then depower him there
The whole thing was stupid. They know that Homelander is super fricking powerful and very, very dangerous. They know they probably can't defeat him even if they're ganging up on him. But once the perfect tool falls into their lap it's considered an evil act to use that tool.
It's that weak writing where the characters act like they're in a movie - "not like this, we'll find some other way."

He would survive if they got him in a hospital. And he even said he will follow through anyway so yes, he did honor the deal. The deak didnt include him baby sitting Butcher.

People who got mind fricked stay mind fricked forever. Getting the literal schizo psychic to cooperate and undo the mind fricking was simply too dangerous to even attempt. it's a goddamn miracle Hughie got Butcher cured, and that's presuming Butcher wasn't given some secret orders to just kill Hughie and Soldier Boy later.

    that's just bad writing
characters get in trouble because they make stupid decisions - that trope works only in comedy films
and to think they maintained status quo over entire season and everything didn't went into scorched earth
it should have been last season. the show became a victim of it success. A shame, really
