>Silverman flubbed a line — she was supposed to say "It's probably the wind" but instead said "It's probably the rain" — Richards snapped at her. Silverman said on her podcast, The Sarah Silverman Podcast:

>“This guy, Michael Richards, breaks character and just starts ripping me a new a**hole... He points to the window and he goes, ‘Do you see rain in that window? Do you see rain in that window?’ and I go, ‘No,’ and he says, ‘Then why did you say rain?’ It’s not rain. There’s no rain in that window! The line is ‘wind’!”

>Silverman was understandably shaken, and felt a "lump in her throat". She recalled being angry that Richards got away with such poor behavior because he's so beloved as Kramer. But she stood up to him the next day on the Seinfeld set. When they were filming a scene at a diner, Richards was polite, acting like nothing had happened, and trying to engage Silverman in conversation. But she refused, saying:

>“And finally, I just cut him off and I say, ‘I don’t give a f**k!’... And he’s kind of stunned, and it’s like he snapped out of it a little. He understood what I was saying was, ‘You don’t talk like that and act like nothing happened. I’m not going to be one of those people that joins in and acts like nothing happened. That was s****y behavior."

Silverman... she's the one who appeared in blackface on her own TV show, right? And she said non-jews should be forbidden from portraying israelites on television? That's the same Silverman, right?

There's nobody who would be a troony and then pretend not to be. Narcissism is the defining neurotic trait of trannies, they need you to know they're trans and proud at all times.

How can an incel be a hedonist?

They're addicted to the starvation-levels of dopamine they get for feeling sorry for themselves. In a way, incels are narcissistic much like trannies. They're obsessed with the cult of the self and how everything needs to perceived in the context of how it's a personal injustice to them, and nothing that's wrong in their lives is ever their own fault. The horseshoe is real.

What possible flaw could you have with the line of reasoning that accomplished married men find incels contemptible, not just women and trannies? It's simply untenable to think an incel looks respectable to other men just because they're the same sex. They're not the "same side". I prefer the side of family, community, culture, and nation. In roughly that order, but I'd have to think about it a bit if you pressed me on that.

                >I thought they were harmless losers who never leave their mother's basement and won't do shit?
Far from it. Not only are they depriving themselves of a family by wallowing in self-pity and cowardice, the positive feedback loop this creates where they feel worse the more they wedge themselves into their hole, which makes them feel more sorry for themselves, which makes them dig deeper... etc; this resentment taints every idea and believe they hold and they can cause significant strain on their relations and friends, if any, and pollutes the online discourse they engage in on any topic. By definition practically, an incel is failing at life, therefore any opinion put forth by one is at best non credible, and at worst dangerous.

it's ok, you don't know what hedonism means and you got exposed for trying to appear intelligent

Please engage with me seriously if you want to have a discussion. If you hide behind a veil of sarcasm there's no way we can exchange serious ideas.

Incels are disasters, this isn't really something anyone would debate against. It's fairly self-evident. If you feel otherwise, why not list some actual points?

                >not only are they depriving themselves of a family
Eh, you're old and probably were making six figures in the 90s if you were this knowledgeable about computers. Modern anons can't afford kids. I'm in my early 30s and got a degree in CS and can't afford a family. I have a gf but she doesn't make much money and kids just aren't on the table.
You're also saying that incels shouldn't share any opinions about their lives and the potential causes of the failure in it, because they're not credible. I don't see how an old man who did succeed (30-40 years ago) is any more credible. You didn't grow up in this world so you are out of touch, regardless of how intelligent and wise you believe yourself to be. I do agree that incels do share their reality through a skewed lens, but that is always the case. You are not the arbiter of reality. Life is not as easy for young men now as it was in the 80s.

Now, I do agree that many of them are wallowing in self-pity and making their situations worse. Even if life is twice as hard now, you could still be a weak failure decades ago. They could make steps to improve their lives, even marginally, but don't due to all kinds of mental hangups. But there are new and real barriers that did not exist for you.

I don't know who the frick spreads this rumor that children are disastrously expensive but it's literally going to kill the human race.
Unless you're sending your kid to private school and fencing and horse riding every week, kids are cheap and easily entertained. The government literally gives you money to raise them.

What happens if I lose my job and can't find another one? There's so many layoffs right now. I could go couchsurf now, or move back with my parents. With a wife and kid though?
The government takes roughly $17k in taxes from me every year, you think they'll give me something if I have a wife and kid? Sure they'll take a bit less, but not enough to offset the cost of a wife and kid.

Richards had to play the most over the top character in TV history and give a kino performance for every take. If someone fricked up their lines he would lose focus and probably have to muster up the same energy again and again.

Women have hysterically exaggerated responses to things like this, especially in retrospect and when the person in question has been deemed socially "bad." I bet he was joking with her about the line flub and kept going to roast her like he would any other comedian, but then she turns it into some melodramatic scene of abuse just to make him seem like an butthole and that she's the morally superior victim.

There is no reasonable excuse. Guy has an incredibly easy job. If a line was messed up just do it again. You get paid millions. Even if it took you all the energy in the world to muster the line delivery, just try again later.

You're tone policing and not thinking about the actual situation. A flubbed line means EVERYONE has to redo EVERYTHING. It can cost a lot of time and money to reset for scenes. Not only that, but when you're making millions of dollars the network rides your ass like a rented mule to get things created on time and under budget. There's a lot of pressure and things on the line for productions like these. It's a lot deeper than "omg he's such a meanie head".

Insane cope. Everyone else on the set is laughing and doesn't mind the interruptions. It's not his show. If Seinfield was a seething autist who starts yelling and threatening violence, that would be somewhat understandable. It's his show, and he is laughing and messing up scenes.

Multiple televison shows often share production lots as well. Last thing you wanna do is piss off another major production because you're running 2hrs behing schedule cause of actor frick ups. That's how people never get hired again.

Richards had to play the most over the top character in TV history and give a kino performance for every take. If someone fricked up their lines he would lose focus and probably have to muster up the same energy again and again.

It's no wonder he lost his shit when someone fricked up

Reading the entire OP post I assumed that Richards was yelling at Silverman in character as Kramer as some sort of joke and wasn't meant to be mean

sometimes i think they combat the giggles with seriousness so they can get on with the scene. yeah its fun but they recognize this shit was expensive and they are trying to get a product out. Now-a-days people probably just have fun and then they edit the frick out of everything in post or only do close ups so they can just film one actor at a time. tv shows and even most movies look so unmagical these days. just cheap and joyless. probably because they stopped caring on set or during production like they are trying to do here. you can still have fun and obviously they are but they all seem more on board to be doing the grind together. I feel like now must people cant be fricking bothered because of their mental health

ive noticed this too. I was watching groundhog day the other month and all the scenes in the diner just feel so lived in and real. You know damn well now it would have all but close ups with green screen in the background of blurry diner patron extras. Go watch any dinner scene in a restaurant from a tv show today vs any dinner scene in a movie from the 80s/early 90s

Julia Dreyfus was notorious for getting into massive laughing fits that wouldn't stop for 30 minutes. Actors are professionals. Imagine working 10hrs a day that goes even longer because your co-worker keeps fricking up. Eventually you'd get pissed no matter the work.

I made two women at work cry for calling them out for major frickups. I wasn't even loud or angry, just a "don't do that again because you can get fired or someone else hurt."
What's interesting is that in the moment they just quietly seethe then just break down in their car or at home. One of them waited a week to go to HR. It blew my mind someone could get so angry over a 30 second conversation about a meaningless job that pays dirt. I'd still rather work with women because at least they won't try to frick every employee and get the company sued.

Richards was infamous for his no-nonsense approach to acting while on set in Seinfeld. He held guest actors to the same standard as the main cast. You even see it in outtakes. Probably not a very relaxed working environment to be in. Armin Shimmermin said it was unpleasant to work there and the cast ignored him essentially.

is this a podcast about One Tree Hill?

I'm not sure what it's from, but I used Sophia Bush as an example because like Sarah Silverman, she has her own podcast where she talks about whatevers on her mind (usually women empowerment and white man bad).

Other examples of vanity podcasts: Melissa Joan Hart, Rachel Bilson, Alison Pill, etc. They think because they're celebrities people just want to hear them talk about nothing.

i am rewatching seinfeld right now and kramer, newman, and frank costanza are the ONLY ones who are taking acting seriously as a craft
    jerrys like "im acting"
and elaine is like "im a prostitute"
and george is almost there but its more like "larry david impression on broadway"
meanwhile kramer, who understands that this is a COMEDIC production, actually adds comedic flair to all of his actions
like if you held something smelly up to jerrys nose, he would recoil slightly and make a "this smells" face
hold the same smelly thing up to kramer and he will act like a magnet is repelling him into a black hole 10 million light years away
it seems dumb but all those little things add up, im glad he told sarah silverman to take the production more seriously
