it's way better than mediocre. mediocre is like a film student film. This was a very well made film, the only thing really lacking is the screenplay. But it's like a 7.75/10, which is very, very good. Mediocre is like a 4/10, which this isn't. Passable would be 6/10, which this isn't either.
exactly its a film i'll forget i even saw a year from now. Such a disapointment from fincher , sure technically its good but is that all films has to be now ?
>sure technically its good but is that all films has to be now ?
No, most films don't even acheive the same technical aspects this film did. But it is not helpful to be an extreme "It's either amazing or horrible". It certainly isn't mediocre, the pacing, editing, sound design, scouting, costuming are all done at an extremely high and thoughtful level. Where it fails is the screenplay, which is a big problem because all films are supposed to be, are stories. It wasn't a horrible plot, however. But it lacked catharsis from the main character, like many movies today due. So, in my opinion, it suffers from the ignorance of the age in which we live, as it relates to expression and growth of character. But it is sitll a very, very good and well thought out movie.
>Normal people
Torrented it, watched then delete it. Hated it! >copping retards
Went and paid for it at the movie theater. You just don't understand the directors vison. >Me in the future
Watch a few years from now with ads for free on YouTube or tubi for background
You're kidding, right? One of the best parts was the cinematography, it was highly aesthetic and at times, beautiful. I'm sorry to break it to you anon, but filmmakers haven't been using real film since the 90's. I think you're more complaining about aperture, SS and ISO and camera settings than the actual camera itself. But the movie was beautifully shot. And to say it felt like it was shot on an iPhone is retarded. It was obviously shot on a legitimate camera, which an iPhone simply is not.
ITT: Times you acted like The Killer (2023) >wake up >do pushups while listening to The Smiths >grab my bucket hat and go get some MacDonald (for the proteins) >use the app under a fake name to save time >say dankeshen to the cashier once I get my food
this is how you win
I really don't get what people don't like about it. >Hitman comes out >everyone hates it because it's fucking retarded >instead of an efficient Hitman we have Jason Bourne in a suit
Now we finally get a spiritual Hitman movie, and contrarians are shitting on it because it doesn't have enough action?
Fucking zoomers should neck themselves tbqh.
>was it funny?
no >is it a good date movie?
no >is it a good "netflix and chill" movie?
no >was it thought-provoking?
depends where you are in life and what you consider interesting >was it efficient in telling a story
no it felt too long and was too long at 2 hr runtime >did it have interesting twists and turns?
no, it's a simple kill or be killed, revege/retribution story. the killer had no reliable info on how hard they would come down on him after seeing what happened to his house and his gf. yes he could have just said "i don't care" and left it all behind, using a new identity and buying a new house, but then there would not be a movie >did it have an arc
yes, the killer finally realized and accepted that he's not perfect and should retire. he does, but the eye twitch implies that this realization bothers him and he doesn't want to be forced into retirement because of his paris mistake
overall 5/10 watchable netflixslop for the lonely wagie who has 2 hours of free time to burn on the weekend and nothing better to do. fassbender looks incredibly old and gay, especially when he's doing yoga like some pretentious liberalfag. he lacks the physique to realistically survive any fight with the younger and stronger "brute". he lacked the intellectual means of replying to the smug-but-scared "expert". he basically lucks out when the secretary had the exact info he needed. lastly, the client was completely unguarded at night, and was only watched over by 1 guy during the day, someone who was just his driver and not paying attention (thus his comment about the guy enjoying wordle).
Most people agree its terrible. Theres just a handful of coping retards arguing its not
No, it's mediocre/passable. Anyone saying it's either excellent or terrible are the retards.
This. People always want something to be terrible or great, but the truth is it's just ok.

Tilda Swinton's scene was the best part
you’re joking right
Yeah I usually enjoy tilly swins and she was well cast here
Cinemaphile can’t handle film without plot even though they say they like American psycho

>muh visuals and pretty colors
Midwit spotted
that's what film is dumbass
if you want a story, read a damn book
Never left. And yes, the seethe has been comfy.
wtf happened in the cinematography department? was this originally supposed to be a shitty netflix series or something? looks like an iphone video ffs
I thought it was slightly above average for digital cinematography but you could tell the memey greyslop dull filter was there.
>CGI planes and traffic and fights
I really wasted my time even watching this film.
>woah is that real life, where's muh grain
Fincher stopped caring in cinematography stuff for awhile now.
Fincher's stuff hasn't looked great since he stopped working with Cronenweth.
This! Where are the filters? Put some piss filter on that bitch
Yeah it looks like a half assed Soderbergh movie from ten years ago.
fincher going digital was the worst thing ever

He doesn't work with the same CGI house as he used to. Unfortunate.
There are many shots in his old movies (and this one here) that you wouldn't think would be CGI but are, now he has the equivalent of marvel CGI.
