Smallville

Started watching this show from the beginning, on the second season. So far it's really good, when does it fall off? I heard that the middle seasons are the worst and it picks up once they just start throwing in every B and C list DC character.

It was cool when shows had the theme song band appear in the actual show and play the theme song.

Season 6 or so is where it starts to get moronic. Maybe 5, whenever Lana is in China or something it starts to get dumb. Has some ups after that but it trends downward and fast.

It's cool that when they were deciding on the score from the show they settled on just getting the same guy who did The X-Files.

It's supposed to be about young Clark before he's superman so by season 6 or so it's starting to get a little absurd that he's been at this for years and still isn't Superman yet, especially when they start dipping into the lore for lack of options. The hardcore focus on Lana (the producers were convinced Kristin Kreuk was gonna be the next big thing, boy were they wrong) didn't help either but eventually she leaves. By season 9 and 10, pretty much every character but Clark had left the show so they started throwing in other DC characters for the hell of it to mixed success. It does get good again towards the end but then it's over just when it does. Still it wasn't bad, and at least ended on a high note unlike the Arrowverse it inadvertently spawned.

It’s because they planned to have it end after Season 5, but the show got too popular and continued to get renewed. It’s why the Fortress showed up when it did at the end of S4.

Check out Talkville. Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Wellings actually go over each episode. So far they're about to wrap season 2.

Everyone makes fun of it as a gay scene but I thought it was cool seeing Flash's powers as a kid.

Should’ve ended it when Clark enters the fortress to match up with the movie. It’d also fit just fine with their “No tights, no flights” rule.

Been a while since I rewatched it, but as I recall, Season 4 is when it starts noticeably dropping in quality, but it doesn't get especially boring/bad until Season 6. Season 9 and on is when they embrace the goofiness.

When he starts working at the planet was when I got bored. The early seasons were str8 kino though.

Season 6 has Lana and Lx get together and get married so that's fricked up. Season 7 has Supergirl in it and she's great, after that she leaves and each season is worse than the previous after that. My opinion anyway.
