It's pretty good, if there's one of the things I'm not a fan of it's how they redesigned Nintendo OCs to be legally distinct. I miss Mario recolor SMG3 and SMG4, I miss inkling Meggy, and I hate how they demolished Princess Peach's castle to build their own original castle.

also the new "OC donut steel" redesigns suck ass (the one exception being Saiko who used to look out of place) and fail to give their characters a proper definitive style, i.e. SMG4 should have had a mustache, Meggy's head is still too big, Tari's sweatshirt/sock sandals combo is still terrible, Bloopkins is too round, Bob is too cutesy and doesn't match his voice anymore, etc.
i'd argue youtube being strict on what content is allowed to get monetized had a bigger impact. notice how Mario doesn't get naked and hump spaghetti anymore and they can't say a lot of swear words. even after meggy was introduced they still had this kind of humor for a little while. i don't think it was some time until late 2018 or early 2019 when they really had to start censoring shit
