The problem with giving movies like this a sequel is that they either destroy the lore of the first by trying to be too different or making up random stuff to have a different outcome, or they just remake the first movie again with a different actor and setting. Both are bad options for reasons i don't think i need to get into. It is why sequels to movies like the ring, the grudge and other cursed horror don't work well.
I can already tell you the ending having seen the trailer. She believes she found a loop hole and lives, so goes on stage to do her thing, but she suddenly realizes that she didn't wins and the demon possesses her. Then she kills herself in front of the entire audience and all of them are now cursed. Of course this is bullshit because the curse was only suppose to pass from one person to another and it is impossible other people haven't witnesses these deaths other than those the curse passes to.
So if it can spread from ANYONE seeing the curse first hand and we know it has been around for a while now and has a chance to spread every 7 days to anyone who sees the suicide (and we know from last movie it has been passed at least 20+ times. If on average 2 people see the suicide (keep in mind it cane be just 1 person or 20 for all we know. So 2 is conservative). every time it is passed. That would be 1,000,000 people infected by now. And that is if in the first movie they found patient zero. And it goes directly from the guy in the last movie to the main girl here, which it doesn't.
Yet this is making no news and no one knows about it. And if you add even a few more chains in that link you get up to a billion pretty quick. So clearly it doesn't work that way. Yet you JUST KNOW this movie will end with her infecting every in her audience because... shock value reasons even if it makes the entire thing make no sense.
Honestly think the first movie should've just been a short film, with the same monster reveal at the end. It originally was a short film that got turned into a big movie, but it's so unoriginal and by the numbers. The director can't write dialogue and make a different movie than the ones its ripping off.
