But often they're careful not to reference too much so the other movies work as stand alones. Nothing stops them from continuing that as long as they still have Cavil, Affleck, Momoa or Gadot. And that's all they have and most of them are doubtful. So it's not restoration of the Snyderverse unless Zack Snyder returns to direct or supervise future movies.

Why would David Zaslav cancel the plans to reboot things with The Flash only to... reboot things? Reboots also always give diminishing returns. You've to start over again shit again with unproven movies, introduce new actors for the same roles and there's no telling how they'll be received, and you'll still have to contend with the fanbase stuck on the previous iteration.
Even Disney/MCU doesn't want to reboot Daredevil, for example. Much easier to just reuse Charlie Cox again and play on the nostalgia factor for buzz.

The first draft of The Flash literally erased the old DCEU (what people would call the Snyderverse or whatever) and Ben Affleck's Batman was gone, the second draft of The Flash merged the DCEU with the Tim Burton's Batman movies and Ben Affleck's Batman was stuck in some other universe without explanation, the third draft of The Flash remained mostly like the previous one but Ben Affleck's Batman was given more context explaining he was stuck in the previous DCEU (you see a video of him wearing the trenchcoat and stuck in a Lexcorp compound similar to the one in BvS).
New drafts are supposed to come undoing all of that because there were reshoots in June.
Instead there will be few movies with aging original actors, at least those that aren't fired yet, that will technically take place in the same continuity as other movies but without addressing it and Zack Snyder will not be involved. Also the canon version of Justice Leage is still the theatrical one.
We already know some events of MoS and ZSJL are referenced in The Flash, I don't think the theatrical cut is "canon".
It has already been leaked that the new drafts of The Flash references Man of Steel (Flash was saving people during the Metropolis invasion), references to BvS (Batfleck seeing the future and talking about the danger of time-travelling), and references to ZSJL (Flash talking about running back in time to save the world).

The Rock is unironically a Zack Snyder fanboy and was dreaming of inserting himself as Black Adamn into that whole Knightmare scenario where Batman leads a team of anti-heroes against a brainwashed Superman. Not to mention his dream of fighting Superman or the fact his agent, who's ex-wife, is also Henry Cavill's agent.
James Wan who's still butthurt about the first Aquaman being somewhat changed by the old WB executives in an attempt to distance the movie from the Justice League movie or the cancellation of The Trench miniseries. The reboot was going to affect the sequels to Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom - they unironically wanted to sideline Aquaman and do a Mera solo project.
Even the director for Shazam was unhappy because he is being blocked from all decisions.
The only ones pushing for a reboot were DC Films President, Walter Hamada. The old WB President, Toby Emmerich. Greg Berlanti who was pushing the idea of exploring the multiverse based on his The CW shows - Berlanti was setting himself to become the new It Guy for Hamada following the public shaming of Geoff Johns. So basically a bunch of people that are now either gone or powerless.

The only ones who wanted to distance themselves from the foundation of the DCEU were the executives and the more "woke" directors and actors. Which is funny since those "woke" individuals are the ones who would be a massive drain on company resources and ultimately the films they would be making would be panned by DC fans at large anyway.
Snyder, his characters, and his stories are overall good for DC as long as the executives don't get involved and meddle like they have for literal YEARS now.

The reboot plans were unironically going to frick a lot of things up for the directors currently working on these movies and TV shows.
James Gunn for example felt that the executives dropped the ball when it came to marketing The Suicide Squad. The executives wanted to distance themselves from the first Suicide Squad movie and treat The Suicide Squad as a reboot of the franchise so they made up that "The" title and went on to speak in interviews how the old movie was of no consequence, and Gunn feels that ended up confusing the audience and damaging his movie chances. He also fought for that Justice League cameo at the end of Peacemaker and he was frustrated about how much the executives tried to block him.
The Rock has been trying to get Black Adam off the ground for decades now and every plan he had up to now included him playing in the DCEU sandbox that exists. So the reboot was basically a splash of cold water.
James Wan has been getting fricked behind the scenes with promises being made to him for certain spin-offs only to be denied later on and the whole Mera focus wasn't his idea.
They even wanted to sideline Shazam the character. Be it having Shazam interact with Black Adam or just exploring Shazam in general. The big plan was to have Mary Marvel as the more prominent character from the movies.

Everything the executives meddled in and wanted to change causes issue for literally EVERYBODY involved.
Frick, even James Gunn did everything he could to keep his movie connected to the Snyderverse as much as he possibly fricking could even when he had zero connections to it and was brought on well after Snyder had filmed his Justice League film.
If Gunn had gone alone with the executives, he would have just had it ACTUALLY be separate but he didn't, he actually wanted to expand the universe more.
If the directors and actors just were given a chance to explore and play in Snyder's created world, then everything would have been fine. The world would have expanded and added newer characters and the tone of the universe would have changed naturally like Snyder had wanted it to in the first place. Obviously he's focusing on the Knightmare future timeline and everything that goes along with it, but after Superman's resurrection it had always been clear that he would have been a changed character. They all were. Superman returning brought hope and faith back to the world in a metaphorical and literal sense.
It sounds like they wanted to make everything about women despite that always leading to massive failure

James Gunn didn't care about the continuity, his projects always fit the more wacky tone the post-Snyder DCEU had. Even his Belle Reve design in TSS was a total contradiction to the one in Snyder's canon Suicide Squad
The Rock's not contradicted by the WB reset either, he just wants Cavills Superman, which WB was willing to give. The real change was going to be Michael Keaton's Batman being the head of the justice league, just not in the field. Black Adam vs JL was still gonna happen.
Tonally, WW84 and Shazam only fit with post-snyder
James Wan can't be aligned with the Snyderverse because his movie totally contradicts Snyder canon both in aesthetics of Atlantis and in Mera's backstory with her parents being alive.
The directors are all perfectly on board with the reset, and Zaslav is probably being advised to keep with it. Keaton will be Batman (and hey, you'll probably get a Batman beyond movie too, be grateful!) and the Snyderverse will never be restored. Maybe you'll see Ben Affleck again in the Crisis movie- assuming your 'savior' Zaslav doesn't pull that for some doomed money making scheme

Zaslav doesn’t care for the hamadaverse plans, that’s why a lot of shit was canceled including batgirl, he knew it would run DC further into the ground, he said he would protect the brand and that’s what he’s doing, now all the movies are undergoing reshoots to “make them even better” as he said in the earnings call. He wants the og justice league back, Affleck is happier than ever, Godot is down for whatever, the only question is Cavill. The Flash’s ending is being changed to garner this, so now there is nothing stopping it from being a bad movie and we can look forward to it all the more. I wouldn’t be surprised if they removed the crisis post credit scene all together if Batfleck isn’t leaving, end of the movie would just be Barry meeting up with Affleck Bruce again and reflecting on his experience and what he learned

Yeah I am really excited now. I am probably one of a handful of DC fans who actually like Ezra as Flash and want to see the movie, but the Cavill/Superman/Supergirl shit leaves such a bad taste in my mouth it was kind of ruining all the other good stuff in the movie. Plus Cavill is great and we've barely seen him in the role and he deserves more time as Supes.

Hey hey I like this thread. One thing I can say is if you see now and within next couple of days that "(X) DC Project Still Moving Forward at HBO Max" take it as bullshit. Nearly everything outside of what Zaslav mentioned last week are canned. Trades and scoopers aligned with the old regime and their contacts are trying to make Zaslav looks bad by saying projects are still a go only to have WB/D make public statements that they're shelved so Zaslav can take heat. As far as I know when it comes to DC HBO tv, only Peacemaker is safe.
If they announce anything moving forward on HBO Max you know it's been canned since HBO Max is no more anyway. They'll probably say that as a way to keep people's hopes alive for shitty reboot DC content, but it's just fluff and canned air.

As of now all we know is that Batfleck is back to shoot scenes in Aquaman 2, and he's got scenes already shot for The Flash. Most likely Keaton's Batman will be more of a one and done thing, unless they somehow work him into a support role rather than the MAIN Batman like they were planning.
Cavill has stated recently that he wants to continue playing Superman, but beyond that and the WB/D using his Superman in its animated promos, there isn't really much info

I don't know exact scenes other than it's definitely connective tissue or in other words, world building scenes that let's audiences know that past films and upcoming films are related. It's more than just fixer shots that didn't score well with audiences. Yes, Affleck is back for multi deal and Cavill is on the cusp of being officially back. It's just a matter of ironing out certain clauses and compromising but WB/D is already moving forward like it's done deal.
