No. They're done. They're still making new stuff on streaming, but Cable television is just an advertisement to get you to subscribe to streaming now.

They will be making shows for Max, Paramount+ and Disney+
We are in the period they just exist to leech out some cable contract value as the transition happens. They will not get new content and likely none will exist in a decade

It's good. The death of the American media conglomerate is long overdue.

The conglomerates aren't dying, they're just moving to different platforms.

Why isnt zaslav fired yet? Honest to god question that mans been seemingly purposefully fricking up warner bros ever since he got his grubby hands on it

Because they hired him specifically to get them out from under all that debt. And his way of going about it is cancelling everything and doing tax write-offs. It's going to hurt the company's reputation in the long-term but these corporations don't care about such things. The people in charge will be long gone before any serious repercussions happen.

So the people in charge are self destructive morons then, got it

Nope. They'll make a ton of money and laugh all the way to the bank. They'll move along to become CEOS of new companies to ruin and destroy after they're done ruining Warner/Discovery.

It won't happen this time. The whole world knows how they move and how their whole pathetic race acts in real time, and it's being exposed.

Mother fricker. Do you really think a company is going to care that
                >le evil white bald man destroyed my childhood and nostalgia by writing off everything and cancelling batgirl and wil e coyote
                They will see
                >le bald white man with money managed to save and cut costs at Warner brothers discovery and was able to handle all of the backlash.
It’s a shit reality but they’re gonna view his experience and his “cost cutting.” Work ethic as something to be hold

Surely a paperwork trick this silly won't be respected in the long term? Like, sure, you can "cut a company's costs" by burning it to the ground so there is no company anymore, but that's just a more legal version of a doctor who kills people so they won't be sick anymore. They can't actually be that stupid.

No, because the paradigm has flipped over. The fordist model of business management is on its way out, and success in business is already being retaught as needing to be socially aware and concerned about negative externalities.

Plus, there's only so much cost cutting you can do when your model is unprofitable and you seek unsustainable growth in a nonzero interest market. Unless it makes money the macroeconomic forces here are killing fake business.

It's a big deal all over the world and people are cutting little pieces off wherever they can. Neoliberalism died with Romney.

      >Disney+ comes free because of my cable package
      >Paramount+ comes free because of my Walmart+ account
I don't know if there's anything on HBO these days to warrant subscribing to that and getting Max for free

Who even has cable anymore? my dad even got rid of it like 4 years ago. Hell the shit they play on like Roku and Pluto live channel thing made to emulate cable are better than the stuff on actual cable.

The state of the industry depresses me, especially Nickelodeon.
And to think i wanted to work with them, create new cartoons for them because i felt like i could help out my inspiration ever since childhood.
