    >So...he was just evil?
But he was good at being evil.

He built the company up to great success with his ruthlessness and underhanded buttholery.

    It's very inspiring.

Not underhanded. He had two morons who actively fought success. Frick the McDonald's.

        Dick Mcdonald was a visionary.

But to agree on a handshake with Ray Kroc, they kinda played themselves on that one.

He paid them each the equivalent to 10 million dollars. After they admitted that he could have easily stolen their idea and not paid them a cent.

10 fricking mill. "Equivalent " It's chicken feed.

How much is McDonalds worth. Look at the genius of their design and branding. It was all there well before Croc showed up on the scene.

The McDonald's brothers had zero interest in expanding operations and actively hampered Kroc's desire to do so.

If Kroc hadn't walked into their store no one would ever have heard of them.

No. He went to the brothers after one had a heart attack and offered them a lot of money when he didn’t have to. He was just driven and had a vision.

This movie deserves a rethink. McDonald's should be held accountable for selling excessive food to fat "people".

Idk I worked part time at Starbucks in college and I was allowed to give big fat b***hes what I estimate were ~1000 calorie drinks. I say let em kill themselves. Just like that moron b***h who killed herself by drinking too many panera charged lemonades.

We've created an obesegenic environment for them from childhood. They were lured in with Hamburglers and Happymeals.

Put them in certain European countries, or 1940s America and they would grow up slim and healthy.

thats stupid and unamerican, adding those kinds of constraints to society is what commies do, people have the right to go their own way and it would punish the ones who eat it conservatively anyways like me, maybe 2 times a month

For as hard as the movie tried to make him seem like a dickhead, the more I think about it and read about Croc the more I think the McDonald's really are just fricking morons. They should be happy they got any money at all.

      Yeah this.

Read his book, yes it’s gonna be mega biased but he wanted a national then international corporation and he was making it happen

They were clueless in making it happen and basically were so rigid in how to do things they stunted business growth massively

Really it comes down to small biz mentality vs. entrepreneur mentality

He was a grifter who latched onto something that had the potential to be incredibly successful. His nature meant that he couldn't stop and so the brothers became an obstacle to him. Same thing with his wife, she was happy with the lifestyle they already had and so he traded up for a more exciting model. He was not actively malicious but he just couldn't understand the mentality of being happy with what you've got.

i dont know how anyone can have that takeaway. He was successful and helped alot of other people become successful including the mcdonalds brothers. Taking away the name of their personal store was the only kinda messed up part otherwise its just an amazing success story especially for men over the hill.
