It's demonstrative of how dismissive they all are of Rorsharch. First off, let's assume Dr Manhattan doesn't stop him: what the frick does Rorsharch do? Does he know how to pilot Dan's state of the art flying contraption, through intense snow, to navigate himself to any mainland, much less North America? The absolute closest he'll get is opening the door and hanging out inside it so he doesn't quite die of hypothermia. Dan and Laurie could've taken all the time they want, he wasn't going to get anywhere and they don't really respect his safety or comfort since he's never respected their's

I think you can say someone is a bad guy and still portray them sympathetically and try to understand them, give them complex inner lives and motivations. Comedian is a bad guy just like Rorshach and Ozy but they are all still written like human beings with depth. Maybe not Ozy.

He's a pretty terrible person bro, his grey is more in the implication of his regrets and the "none of this matters" mentality biting him in the ass. But Comedian is out and out a monstrous piece of shit who became a hero purely because he realized going after "justified targets" would allow him not just to assault and murder with impunity but be rewarded for it.

It's not. It makes a selfish, pathetic loser who pointlessly wastes all his money acting like a violent child, but he's not as bad as the rest and he's never treated like he is. He's one of the more relatively normal ones. Just like Silk and Nite Owl 1.
I don't think he is, while Rorschach is sort of like the gross psychologically damaged introvert aspect of Batman, Dan is meant to show how ineffectual and impotent a Batman would be in "the real world" or confronted with real problems etc.
Yeah, Rorscharch is kind of the "obsessed crusader" aspect, the fantasy of the implacable detective, while Nite Owl is the millionaire playboy engaging in a fantasy.
It should be noted that Batman became more Rorscach lite after Watchmen due to Frank Miller's influence

Yes. Rorchach wouldnt be dead, Moloch wouldnt be killed (with a bullet in his head), Dr Manhattan would be on Mars, Nite Owl wouldnt be on the run. We can discuss if Mason/NiteOwl 2 would ne alive.

He's just kind of an aimless loser, the nerd who never quite got over it. He used his father's money to build a bunch of cool gadgets and copy his childhood hero. But he only "gets the girl" in later life when she is on the rebound. He's the slubby guy who wants to be a superhero but when he actually becomes one he seems beholden to the ideas of people around him rather than having strong convictions himself.
