    MCU > DCU

If MCU is under-preforming then the DCU will shit the bed.

Oh yeah DCU has no chance in general due to its past reputation its why I dont get after all this time they're still not hard rebooting it.

Why would a reboot help? People who wanted to like it are getting told that their time and money spent watching these movies have been wasted.

The MCU doesn't let a weak show or movie stop them, they don't look back, they just continue building. Remember Iron Man 2? Complete dogshit. It still led up to Infinity War and Endgame, some of the most profitable movies of all time.

          This.

Fans have spent 10 years investing in the DCEU. And are now expected to abandon it because it didn't do "well enough" financially.

Maybe they shouldn't have spent those 10 years making absolutely dog shit movies

DC could never get the formula right but the MCU is suffering because all the people who actually have a shit about the product left and have been replaced by people who loath the very product they’re working on and are just using it as a vehicle to push identity politics.

it's both OP, Cinemaphilemblr mahvel shills will never admit it but Thor 4 flopped, She Hulk flopped, Ms Marvel flopped, this flopped, the marvels is going to flop, and the only saving grace is spider man, DCU was fricked 10 years ago and hasn't stood a chance since, completely ruining their reputation over and over again, WB should've never listened to what people on reddit had to say either, i'm not a Snyder pajeet and BvS was fricking horrible, but they should've stuck with the plan, they could've fixed it or come back strong if they just kept doing what they where doing, it might've been shit, but it would be consistent and Superman would have had a trilogy by now, imo, especially since darker capeshit stories are being more appreciated recently with stuff like The Boys or Invincible

it's fricking over, kids don't like super heroes anymore.......

The only ones that didn't flop were Wandavision because it was the first Marvel TV show so people were curious, and No Way Home because of Toby and Andrew, guaranteed that if they weren't in it, it would have flopped.

Hard disagree. People still like Spider-Man in general

      >If it doesn't make a full billion it's a flop
I'm absolutely convinced that DCU gays suffer from severe brain rot.

Love and Thunder made more than 3 times its budget back. And it's still making money off streaming services and merchandise.

Just because DC keeps producing trash like Suicide Squad and now Shazam 2 that can't even break even, doesn't mean that Marvel is in the same boat.

It made OVER 3 times its budget back. OVER 3 TIMES. Marvel exes were popping champagne that night.

              3. Because it was massively profitable it can't be a flop.

DC has no vision, they have no good stories, they have no interesting characters. And then they handed the entire franchise to the guy who created the biggest DCU flop of all time.

By what logic exactly? I never saw any articles calling LoT or Quantumania flops.

Your idea that sequels have to make more and more with each installment isn't even sustainable.

LoT made over 3 times its budget back. That's more than can be reasonably expected of any movie.

NTA but if they don't think a sequel will make more than the last installment, then they don't make it.
I disagree with his definition of a flop though. I would keep that term for movies that failed to make any profit at all. These simply underperformed.

For the MCU its actual fatigue finally kicking in. For DC its just another flop, i don't know why they still bother, this kind of behivior would only make sense if they were laundering money which memes aside its clearly not the case.

DC Fricked it up the second they blew their load too early on the Justice League movie because they saw how successful the Marvel crossover movies did and just saw dollar signs without realising what made it successful in the first place (all the build up to that moment, most of those characters were literal who's to the casual mainstream). They've been trying to do damage control and repairs ever since, but keep digging themselves deeper. But it's too late, they blew it. There can only ever be one first live action Justice League movie.
