No, the original Marty came back. The one to be concerned with is the son born to the new and improved George and Lorraine. He goes back to 1955 but clearly doesn't return because the Marty who does return didn't know his brother wore a suit to the office, his mom looked thin, etc.
>He goes back to 1955 but clearly doesn't return because the Marty who does return didn't know his brother wore a suit to the office, his mom looked thin, etc.
He also wasn't such a hothead about being called "chicken". It took a second for Marty to change with the timeline when he got back, but he's a bit more complicated than a photograph.
This has always been my headcannon too. That whatever version of Marty we see in Part 2 and 3, it's not the version we saw throughout most of the first one. This is a Marty who grew up with a George who had self-confidence, and thus is bent out of shape about being called chicken, rather than the Marty who stressed about sending in his demo tape because he was afraid of rejection.
one of the worst things BTTF ever did was introduce that "nobody calls me chicken" bullshit was is a major personality shift for Marty after the first movie

Eh, it makes enough sense for it to not ruin the movie. His dad instilling a bit too much confidence in him could cause problems that BTTF1 Marty wouldn't go through.
>His dad instilling a bit too much confidence in him
The 2nd movie started literally after the first ended. There was no time for Marty to interact with his new family and pick up bad habits
Unless it's a different Marty. Which would account for the different Jennifer and the fact that Doc has to stop and think for a moment about whether or not Marty and Jennifer are assholes in the future.
>Unless it's a different Marty.
It's not again they show this since it's transitions straight from part 1 to 2.

But we don't see the same clip. The scene at the start of Part 2 is slightly different from the one at the end of Part 1.

The Jennifer changed because the actress had to leave the role due to personal issues.
The scene was not different, it was a different movie so they reshot it with the new Jennifer because the actress left but the scene played out the same way and was a direct continuation of the end of the first movie meaning there was no time to spend with Marty's dad like your original argument statement so you were wrong.
There is no different personality just the chicken line which was just bad writing.

Those are the IRL reasons for it, yes. The in-universe reason is that it's not the same version of Marty from the first movie.
Do you by any chance have autism?

and those are the only reasons and they are not narrative changes. Your argument was he spent time with his new confident dad and that never happened. You were wrong.

First movie Marty didn't. Second movie Marty had.
IRL reasons necessitate narrative changes.
You also didn't answer the autism question, but in a way you did.

Your head canon is not fact and you got the movie wrong forgetting there was no time from when Marty came back to spend time with his dad so instead of admitting you were wrong you just repeat your autistic nonsense.

The actress may have changed but the in universe canon is that nothing changed
I used to post heavily on the BTTF Message Boards there was one theory where the homeless man at the park was a failed version of Marty that didn't make it back to 1985
In a sense.
He morphed into the Marty who grew up with the rich, confident dad as the timeline caught up with itself when he returned. It probably took a few minutes. But it's complicated because he still went back in time too. Eventually that will also straighten out as the "ripples" settle.
>He morphed into the Marty who grew up with the rich
how?
The new marty is living his life, maybe fucking his gf at the time, and then boom old marty comes back from the past and he disappear to let the old marty in the car the only one in this time line?
That would require the new marty to get into the car too in the present and go back to the past too, so the old marty can be the only one marty in present. But new marty would have a totally different take on life and the people, having a different life, and would not change the past the same the old marty did.
old and new Marty are the same person. He came back to a timeline that changed but he was the only Marty of that timeline. The biggest blackpill that Marty is a stranger to the family he came back to. Sure his parents are better but they are not the same parents he grew up with for the past 17 years. I don't see how its a good ending for him specifically
how is it possible? You lived a different life but you are the same?
What if new marty doesn't want to get in doc's car because he doesn't give a fuck about his shady stuff and want to have fun doing wealthy teenager stuff instead because he has money to enjoy a normal life?
Old Marty comes back to a new Marty living somewhere else in the timeline, he won't morphed into him.
No.
Our Marty goes on his adventure in the first film, and upon his return sees a different Marty, the rich one that grew up in this new timeline, leave in the time machine. Rich Marty will have his own adventure of which the results of we do not know. Marty and Rich Marty never return to their own original timelines. In fact, if you get in a time machine in BTTF you leave your original world forever.
Rich Marty was trained by Doc for years to live that specific moment
Where he gets sent away from his life to never return, all so original Marty can have a life again.
You could say he was a Martyr
No, Marty 2 is dead. Or at least Doc sent him somewhere other than 1955 since he knew Marty 1 was already there. My theory is he sent him to the year 0000 and Marty 2's entrance inadvertently caused the big bang to happen.
>2023 >people having no clue how time travel works
is all this schizo posting a meme i just missed out on or what? there is 1 marty, thats it. marty and doc are quite literally the only ones who DONT change
