I remember there being an episode of the documentary series on their website about Mike starting to take Lexapro and everyone agreeing that if it killed the spark he would go back off of it. It did and he didn't.
The artist became steadily more insecure about the fact that he lifted his style wholesale from someone else. While he wanted to develop his own style, he lacked formal training or any inkling to develop it and did not have any financial incentive to do so either.
