My brother made a short cartoon that appears on the DVD they made of this show. Not that any of you dirt bags care, I just want to remember my brother. I fricking miss him so much.
Unironically pseud humor. It's for tryhards who pretend to like Southland Tales and other "trust me its actually super good i just wont ever actually explain why because you dont get it and cant tell me ummm something something takedown of american culture" types.
I dunno man, I just laugh at the word play and all the absurd things that happen. The writing is clever in the stupidest ways and it isn't trying to be intellectual in the slightest.
its all three, just imagine the holy trinity
jk its not deep, its pure nonsense presented in a way that sounds like its some deep, groundbreaking shit i guess
for me, its the honky tonk pregger episode i got a boner
For example, the Haunted Tonk episide has Xavier going down the rabbithole of extreme egotism and viewing himself as the center of reality and the messianic savior of humanity. He rambles to himself about his own paramount cosmic importance as he stumbles through his job as a strip club bouncer.
To me it's about the pitfalls of trying to seek enlightenment. Every episode has Xavier go down a rabbit hole of some spiritual idea and take it to its (il)logical, self-defeating extreme. As a whole the show suggests that true enlightenment isn't to be found in ouroboric spiritual ramblings. In some way it's an antidote to psychosis and runaway thought loops, and something that points a way to inner peace.
So THIS is Zoomer baiting...wow....damn....im seething....

Long live bro
If you miss him so much then why did you kill him?
Was it one of the Damnesia You clips? Which one?
Why did you kill your brother?

I'm still not sure if this show is secretly deep, or pretending to be secretly deep but actually nonsense
That's how they wanted it to be
both
It isn't deep, it is stupid. But it is written incredibly well so that it almost sounds like it makes sense.

That episode has the best usage of time travel I have ever seen in any piece of fiction, ever.
