Allan adventure was kinda shit action!= Funny unless you are an American I guess. This alien one was probably the best one so far.

Each one has different things going for them. Allen adventure has a lot of action and silly complications. Boss had a lot of references and callbacks. The alien one had the most for me though. Not only do we have a neat setup and references, guest stars from the RLM guys, but there was a fun sort of torture porn element too. The agony the fellas felt when they were basically told to commit genocide, only for it to be a prank. Hilarious.

They never seem to surpass the first episode of the season. The pilot was the best episode of season 1 and no other episode comes close. Same thing with Gwimbly.
The Frowning Friends episode and it’s take on nihilism is still my favorite episode in the series.

Agree with everything but Allan Adventure. It was kind of unfunny. I'd say the third best would be the Joel Haver one but even then it's not like it was a stand out ep.
I find it odd that every Smiling Friends thread this season has had 90% of the posts saying the same point over and over about how it's not as good as season 1
Aside from Mr President, which was mediocre, I've laughed at every episode this season. They're a nice way to spend 11 minutes and that's all it really needs to be.
Boss gets married and the UFO one are my favorites. Didn’t care for the rest of them really.
I think every episode so far has been enjoyable in their own right. My personal favorite is definitely the aliens one though, A Allan Adventure probably being a close second,
The Egg episode is up there for me. Season 2 overall is weaker, and this new one wasn't terrible but its not really breaking that trend either.
Also why is the Ship's monitor showing a spherical earth?

The pacing for the episodes is really rushed. The only one that didnt feel like that was the Gwimbly one. Its like they were told their episodes would be longer like 22 minutes than AS changed there minds so they had to cut their scripts down. Something just feels off about them. It was really apparent in the last two episodes
The alien episode only made me laugh once at the end, which is to be fair more laughs than I got out of the president episode
I do think the show's getting a bit too formulaic, especially for only being in it's 2nd season. There's only so many "realistic argument/discussion" gags or "character says thing but with strange inflection/phrasing" gags you can do before it gets fricking old. Write some actual jokes instead.

I really loved this latest episode.
The premise, opening, and shenanigans were all fine but the death star prank and flat earth bit had me fricking rolling
Best in season 2 for me so far.
