So where was this creature during the Return of the Jedi?

So where was this creature during the Return of the Jedi?

She was Anakin's student, knows Luke personally, has direct ties with the rebellion, she's OP and as far as we know she wasn't busy with anything else at the time of Return of the Jedi. Isn't she precisely the type of character that should've attempted redeeming Vader, or trying to kill the Emperor? If not that, shouldn't she have allied with Luke?

It'd make sense if she was some some random surviving jedi hiding in an outer rim shithole, or someone who never knew Luke or Anakin. But it is a huge plot hole to write a surviving jedi closely related to Luke and Anakin, to have her alive and unoccupied during the OT, yet always absent.

Whose dick did the writer of this character suck to get away with writing her in such a lorebreaking way?

Ahsoka existing was a mistake since that stupid overhyped Clone Wars cartoon. That said, considering the damage was already done, the recent Ahsoka show was still fun and has breathed some new life into Star Wars. So it was a blessing in disguise I’d say.

Did you play Jedi: Fallen Order? It was very popular because it told a different angle of the Star Wars force lore with the Zeffo. Ahsoka essentially does the same thing for the TV medium. It is the first real true departure from the age old Republic vs Empire / Jedi vs Sith stories we’ve heard over and over. There’s a new element there now which adds intrigue.

that is not what why it was popular at all lmao nobody played that game and said "damn i love star wars now because the codex entries mentioned some aliens" it was popular because it was a competent game that came after the trash sequels and it was a good homage to revenge of the sith
          >Ahsoka essentially does the same thing for the TV medium.
          not really
ahsoka was just a continuation of rebels except it massively undermined a lot of those characters
admittedly the baylan stuff is cool but that's mostly because of the actor and because of the intentionally vague writing of what he's up to stoking people's imagination

She died in Twilighlight of the Apprentice pt 2. (The last SW thing I consider remotely canon)

She's a garbage OC donut steel fanfic character who only started existing so Lucas & Filoni had an excuse to put a young teenage girl into extra content for the prequels. Unfortunately Filoni was given way too much creative control and instead of her dying in order 66 (or at least sometime in Rebels) she's basically stolen Luke's position in the canon. All because the homosexuals who wrote her cannot let go of her or Sabine.

The way she's portrayed and characterized in the live action show is fricking awful and I say that as someone who was alright with her animated characterization. Now she's a wooden plank.

It's more like nobody accepts Rey Palpatine as a valid successor to Luke, so they've latched onto the idea that Anakin's apprentice would be the next best thing to having an actual Skywalker still be alive at the end of ST.

Good point.. or they could've just, you know, used Luke. Either that CGI face nonsense from Mandalorian or just recasting him (which I know they're terrified of doing because Solo bombed and they think it's due to the recast, not due to TLJ pissing off people).. but we both know neither would have happened since Star Wars is for girls now.

Rey Skywalker is Luke's successor and she will rebuild the Jedi Order. It's canon.

      >The way she's portrayed and characterized in the live action show is fricking awful
The way EVERYBODY is portrayed and characterized is awful. Everyone stands there, hesitates, recites their dialogue with arms folded, and after a dutiful pause they get a response. When they finally jump galaxies and Ezra meets Tomboy Mando, do they act excited to see each other? No, they stand there and smile and talk. Only the villains give interesting performances.

The direction is so fricking awful I don't even know what to make of this. Filoni's ep where he brings in Ahsoka as a guest star in Mando was awesome. I thought if every other episode in Ahsoka was half as awesome, that'd be great. But aside from the Clone Wars flashback, it was a gripping as dry white bread.

Something's wrong. It's like everybody shrugged and gave up.

The idea of that a Jedi as selfish, headstrong and impulse as Anakin having an apprentice was just really bad writing in the first place. The council wouldn't have trusted him with one since they didn't even trust him. And he wouldn't wanted one, either.

I liked in the Knight of the Old Republic 2, they remarked on how Atris never trained a Padawan despite her empty aspirations about rebuilding the Jedi Order. She was incredibly judgmental about how other Jedis trained their apprentice, but she never had the conviction or courage to take up that challenge for herself.

It doesn't make sense that every Jedi's character or personality would be conducive to training another.

If we're going with proper star wars lore, aka pre disney and nothing of filioni's corruption, then she either dead, missing, retired, or the real/non-COMPNOR Askoka had a completely different history. Even then she would be too old to help out or join Luke's NJO

she wasnt aloud to interfere as she was already dead. the force gods prevented her from using what she knew from the mirror dimension to influence the path anakin would take as vader and his redemption by luke.

this was all explained in the supplementary novella that ran as a promotional from burger king, did you not read it?
