    Inherently keeps it interesting

When every episode ends on a cliffhanger they inevitably lose impact and become dull and irritating

most people barely have a high school education

I honestly don't know. It's cliché but I checked out after the fly episode. I just can't get invested into a series that can be pulled in some pants-on-head moronic situation at the whims of a director.

It's enjoyable as turn your brain off popcorn entertainment, it's not high drama but it doesn't need to be. The issue is that the stuff with his family always drags the show to a halt.

      >high drama
It certainly is lauded as such however. Most people credit BB for single-handedly bringing back television drama.

Those people are idiots and you can and should ignore them. BB just took the format that had already been proven successful by HBO with The Sopranos and made it more cartoonish. The entire thing is basically a shonen anime except with a high-brow coat of paint.

I remember everyone losing their minds over it and thinking about how many cultural cliches and shit it had, similar to how animes all have these recognizable tropes and shit.

even if you find a way to handwave those, Mad Men literally started over a year before BB and was big from the very beginning.

S1-4 are kino. 5 is garbage and should just be skipped.

Most of the people who watched it when it aired were people who don't know drugs or crime but want to feel included in those activities. Nowadays I shit you not it's all the rage with ftm troons, really tells you something since it might as well be drag queens doing a Monroe impersonation. Troons are such goddamn caricatures, I swear most people could handle dealing with them if they'd only admit how stupid they look trying to put themselves through the opposite puberty and expecting to be taken seriously. People don't even take real teens going through real puberty seriously.

that’s how you know it’s inherently narcissistic. the way you have to tiptoe around them and outright lie about your perception of reality. we’re now being pressured to act as enablers for unstable narcissists to prop up an industry that profits off them. what the frick.

Isn't the point of almost every episode that it ends in a cliffhanger? Makes you wanna watch the next one to see how they will get out of whatever situation

It was the cultural zeitgeist of the time. Meme'd as the story of a good man turning evil which intrigued normies. Supremely reddit show, but decent nonetheless. It peaked at the end of S2 for me.

I watched it recently and it was great. The only part I didn't get is why people hated Skylar. She acted like a perfectly reasonable person all the time.
