Personally speaking, I thought she should have won the Oscar for Best Actress for her timelessly magnetic performance as the captivatingly beautiful Mary Corleone. Easily one of the high points of "The Godfather Part III" (my favorite "Godfather" film).
For someone who only watched the Godfather Trilogy in the past year, the third part was like diving into an icy river levels of shock at how bad it was compared to the first two.
Al Pacino forgot how to act inbetween 2&3, Michael Corleone turned into grandpa Scarface.
Sofia Coppola had as much personality, depth and nuance as a cinder block.
I could go on, it's so so so bad.
>Al Pacino forgot how to act inbetween 2&3,
It's not that he forgot how to act it's that he started acting too much. He became a perpetual method actor who method acts the same character beginning with Sea of Love with John Goodman. This is also his adopted persona in real life. Meanwhile, Michael Corleone was a highly modulated version of his previous natural persona complete with slight speech impediment. When he lost that, he lost the ability to adequately portray Michael Corleone.
>Al Pacino forgot how to act inbetween 2&3
Pacino's career in the 80's was dog shit and Scarface is massively overrated. He also ruined his voice with all the cigarette smoking and tried to make up for it by falling into the YELLING IS ACTING trap.
>Scarface is massively overrated
The original is a superb movie, but I agree about the 1983 remake. Stone went way too far in making Montana seem like a cool flashy gangster drug lord who develops power and prestige over the course of the film, when the original story is actually about showing Camonte as heavily disliked by his peers and desperate to show off his wealth with gaudy suits and shirts he only wears once before throwing away.
I don't understand why people single out Sofia as the worst actress given that she wasn't originally casted for the role and didn't have the adequate training/experience as other stars in the movie had.
The whole movie is poorly cast and half of the actors are more recognizable from bargain bin trash like Baby's Day Out. It makes the whole thing feel like a cheap parody.
I was pretty neutral on 3 and only remember the major parts like the end and everyone getting whacked so I'm not even sure its worth watching since I barely remember
Well the changes aren't major apart from moving the Vatican business meeting to the start of the film and trimming out some of the particularly bad acting. For me, it made the difference though. It still isn't on par with 1 & 2 but it's worth checking out, even if it's out of curiosity.
Quite possibly the most tragic death scene in cinematic history. Michael Corleone's shell-shocked, agonized reaction afterward to the untimely, tragic, and senseless death of Mary, his wonderful daughter, is nothing short of heartbreaking.
>We were robbed of young Monica Bellucci playing Mary Corleone
Francis can seriously eat a dick for trying to force his family members in these films. The only time that ever worked was with Talia.
>White: [Grunts] She’s probably a nice girl, but put it this way: as a filmmaker, she gave a great performance in Godfather III, which I defend, seriously. But so far, I don’t have much use for her.
>as a filmmaker, she gave a great performance in Godfather III, which I defend, seriously. But so far, I don’t have much use for her.
what did he mean by this?
Definitely the kind of girl you invite to parties and bang roughly after a night of drinking and coke while daddy’s working on his cute little art project
terrible
she got cuter as she aged though, god i want an older sofia coppola gf so bad
Star Wars prequel-worthy
Poor actor, world class director
Gives daughter big break as mafioso cousin fucker

shitty bait
How is that bait?
i like your humor
I adore your sense of humor
she suuuucked. i just pretended she was an aspie.
Were we supposed to find her attractive?
Yes, we were. Not you though. Because you are a homosexual. Lol.
when she died, I got a boner
Inexplicably bad. She's not a bad actress.
she fat

Pacino carries that terrible script. everything beyond that, you are correct.
>I could go on
Please do
she was bad enough to ruin the movie
she really nailed the slut vibes
she was good at being dead at least
It's bad but no worse than Andy Garcia.
Joe Mantegna and Eli Wallach are absolutely atrocious in it and definitely worse than a slightly wooden S.Coppola.
Joey Zasa's ridiculous portrayal ruins the film before the rest can do any serious damage, to be honest.
this

>casted
>Joey Zasa's ridiculous portrayal
Vincent was on the same level.
100% agree he was also terrible. Zasa was another level to me, but agree Garcia was an absolute trainwreck.
The first scene with him, Pacino, and Mantegna is comically bad and sets a poor tone throughout.
They could have got away with the cringey Immobilare scenes if the core cast were better. They weren't.
Wallach is so bad you don't realise he is the antagonist on first viewing. It's a shit show.
The whole movie is poorly cast and half of the actors are more recognizable from bargain bin trash like Baby's Day Out. It makes the whole thing feel like a cheap parody.
She's bad but it somehow works in the Coda cut. She's an awkward, wooden daddy's girl with weird social skills.
is the coda cut worth watching? I bought it but I've only seen the original once
Personally, I dislike Part III but enjoyed Coda.
I was pretty neutral on 3 and only remember the major parts like the end and everyone getting whacked so I'm not even sure its worth watching since I barely remember

>d-daddy
why didn't they just do cpr

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
LIMPY'S GOT CANCEEERRR
"Oh what's this..? A horse's head?"
>yfw the director's daughter can't act
a slut
the Coda Cut is only marginally better than the original version, not worth watching
anyone have the armond white quote where he says its the best one
Still a more cohesive film than 2 which was shit besides the Vito flashbacks
brainlet retard opinion

what did he mean by this?
also robbed of winona ryder, who was also signed on for her early on
One of my old exes, a latina, looked a lot like her with that same sort of nose. That's where I developed my schnoz fetish from.
solid digits
A complete and thorough airhead
Definitely the kind of girl you invite to parties and bang roughly after a night of drinking and coke while daddy’s working on his cute little art project
bump
She has the nose of a hagraven and the mouth of a horse. Are all Corleone girls supposed to be ugly?
Why was she so sexy in Frankenweenie? What were they thinking?!
