I’m still stunned HBO agreed to make a fully adult Spawn animated series. Todd M. Had the integrity to tell all the network television shows to frick off when they insisted on bad guys using lasers. Black Panther was a prime example of what I'm saying though. An entire movie specifically designed to pander to one race. It wasn't just a decent movie with black people in it.
It's a movie about a black superhero, it's not casting for diversity points to hire a black actor. It's not like the 90s was immune to making movies about black characters to get points for being inclusive, we just weren't so fricking tuned into it all the time that we had to stake out an opinion about that on every single movie
