Mace if ever brought back should be an evil old wizard, he was barely even a Jedi in the first place. If he were revealed to have started a new temple and raised a new army of warped students who all fall to the dark side that would be the only thing I'd want to see from him being brought back.

I'll still never understand why they felt the need after wrapping up the prequels to completely redo the clone wars era that they j u s t concluded.

Exactly. And with the abject failure of the sequels, the entire DU that's been rolling off the assembly line since then has had it's roots in TCW, even moreso than the originals or prequels themselves.

The only screen products that haven't had some explicit connection to TCW and it's many branches have been RO and Andor. Coincidence? No! Because in fact everything in that well has been poison from the start.

Yeah true Star Wars fans could see this intuitively always felt like the same mishandling of the setting we are today, the marvelisation of you will. Where characters never stay dead and plots are driven by out of universe financial strategy rather than story telling integrity. At least under Lucas they had an anchor to bulwark against this tendency but in this era the marvel types were creeping in and putting in their fanfic bullshit.

I'll still never understand why they felt the need after wrapping up the prequels to completely redo the clone wars era that they j u s t concluded.
Seems like a wasted effort in retrospect. Like, shouldn't they have been focusing on exploring the period of time between the trilogies? What happened there?

In principle it could make sense as the movies didn’t do a good job at showing Anakin and obiwan building their relationship and had to use clumsy dialogue to imply their adventures and Anakins growth. The clone wars could have done what the movies should have already done which was show Anakin as the great warrior he should have been.

It's moronic, and you are right. And it was obviously done after the fact, and Lucas himself basically admitted he and filoni were just trying to fix anakin's character prior to his downfall since in the movies he acts exclusively like a psycho, but in their defense, ROTS happens in a relatively short span of time where everyone is busy as frick and the entire situation basically implodes without warning on all sides. He's extremely busy and stressed out during that time and Anakin's priorities weren't on her at that time. I don't actually mind her existing. But she should've died in the show and her death would've been an even better reason why noone would talk about her.

That does not make a lick of sense. Those who liked the Plinkett videos hated Lucas-slop. Clone Wars was more of Lucas-slop. Why would they sit down to watch this after the prequels? To get more Jar Jar? To get more space politics? To get more Anakin and Padme? To get another child character after they hated TPM? Why would they want to watch more of the same things they hated in the first place? Anon, you sound very stupid. Not surprising, though. This is Cinemaphile — moron and schizo central.

Not really. Luke had an in against Vader no one else did. He's his kid and the entire reason Anakin turned to the dark side was to protect his family. What would Kyle Katarn or Cal Kestis or the blind stick guy in Rogue One have to fight Vader? Even Lucas clearly considered Anakin overwhelmingly powerful, noone alive would've stood a chance against him and Palpatine except Luke and Luke alone.

And yet Lucas decided to share with the world *that one*, and he has publicly claimed that *that one* was *his* version of the third trilogy. That is all that matters. No one cares about your assumptions that aren't backed by anything. Like I said, bring me Lucas' words. You can't? Well, that's too bad. have a nice day.

How was George going to explain Maul's return for those who never watched TCW, nor ever would?
Moreover, how does this NOT invalidate the Prophecy? What, does Maul use the same BS loophole of "I am no longer X despite still practicing the X way" as Ahsoka?

Just be honest, if Luke almost killing his own sleeping nephew because of a bad dream WAS George's idea, you'd eat it up as well.

It was also George's choice to turn Luke into a disillusioned burn out, pass his mantel as MC and last hope for the Jedi to a young female scavenger, and die a virgin.

George's idea for Punished Luke didn't involve him trying to stab his nephew since Ben's turn was the result of him simping for Sith coochie.

Yes but by both of those he's a jaded old man who barely resembles who he was in TCW.

Because TCW's Saw was set-up for his role in Underworld which eventually had episode outlines morphed into Rogue One and Solo.

That never happens, and that's the main problem with TLJ. Your pic doesn't imply Luke dying from being out of mana.

They did not. Some israelite worm feeding him on some random garbage planet does not explain anything or even how someone who was bisected managed to survive that big fall.
It's moronic and so are you, zoom zoom.

the inhibitor chip retcon was the worst part. it was way more poetic that the clones chose to obey order 66 even in spite of their friendship with the jedi.
