considering the mom in the new trailer still only had the original 5, I assume the plot will be that these new emotions aren't real emotions, either just imagined from Riley "Oh my god, I have so much anxiety, it's just not fear, it's a real individual emotion that is totally-me" or they are some other brain activity thing that try to take over the control center for whatever plot related reasons.
Hopefully they have the guts to portray mental illnesses as an enemy to be defeated, but that'll never happen.
She needs the important emotion, horny because it's THAT AGE and everyone was horny at that time.
Adding new emotions is lazy and shows they lack imagination.

"Horny" should be a shift in the environment of the mental world and the original five emotions should conflict about how to handle it. There should not be a new "Horny" character but a light that goes on in the control room. "Warning: Horny Level Rising" it reads while Anger and Disgust wrestle the controls out of Joy's hands. Something about this new setup allows them more power so similar to the first movie Joy must contend with not being "in charge" as much. Except this time there's more emphasis on balancing your emotions and keeping them under control (contrasted with the first movie where the theme was accepting the importance of being sad sometimes).

Anxiety should be an "imposter" emotion portrayed similar to how a classic story should portray a demon or an alien shapeshifter. Make Mental Illness a real, honest-to-god villain of the movie that needs to be overcome. I know it's gonna end up being a hippie lovey-dovey "the mental illness is our friend" message but I really wish it was the opposite and Anxiety gets kicked to the curb by the end.
They are Riley's inner demons. Lust will appear in a post-credits scene teasing Inside Out 3.
