i have literally watched 2 of these. if you showed this to a normal person they would probably laugh nervously, go "oh haha cool anon" and then awkwardly fill up the rest of their time with you and never talk to you again.

There it is, this is what I'm talking about. You frame it as something bigger than yourself to distract from the fact that it IS about yourself. And what a perfect guise it is. But in reality you are cultivating some sort of image for yourself, not only for others to see, but subconsciously, for you to see, to distract yourself from the utter lack of meaning in your life, because you sit inside all day and watch movies. No, I'm content. But I know the exact kind of audience this is. I've seen it, I know it. Especially this crowd. I've come to realize a lot of things about my own personality that I never figured out until I gave it a good, honest look and I'm a lot happier for it.
Last time I was on Cinemaphile was season 1 of The Boys. I just came here to riff about season 3. Nothing wrong with a little bit of occasional browsing, I wouldn't knock anyone for that. This goes beyond occasional.
Besides, I am confident in my own ability to regulate my internet usage. There are a lot of people here who can't and don't realize it. Self-discipline starts with hearing the things you don't want to hear.

Yep, I am, because maybe it'll inspire one or two people to give some thought to their life choices. I know I sure have, and I'm on a better path now.
