Just finished the special, I actually enjoyed it however I do think some of the jokes were stretched out too much.
Specifically, the celebrity piss commercials and the deck=dick joke. Both of these jokes I think work, they just got used too much. The Karen jokes weren't as bad as the first one simply because there was less of it. I doubt it'll continue after these specials since Randy's hair was normal by the end of it all.
Seeing Randy go back to being a geologist was great, although it was a bit sad seeing him seemingly go back to being a weed guy by the end. But since the drought killed all his weed and he threw most of it away, he'll stick to being a geologist anyway. That's my copium.
But yeah, it was decent. Maybe a 6.5/10 total. Hopefully now they've got this streaming service commentary off their chests they'll start with more original stories for the rest of the specials they signed up for.

I just finished the streaming wars part 2 and I'm gonna be honest, I got that emotional happy feeling when randy went back to normal. Like when you feel like you could cry, except not physically like you're not gonna start weeping and tearing up or anything but in your chest it's all like genuinely happy? Shit, maybe I'm just blinded by that feeling, but I was genuinely fine with everything else in the show when randy was back to normal. It was all good. Hell, this special is really good actually!
Then he brought back the Karen and weed shit and even though I knew it was gonna happen cause I read spoilers, I was still just so disappointed. I hope this was just for the special and that randy really does go back to normal at least somewhat. Otherwise it was alright. It was fun to watch through once, but similar to the vaccination specials and other tegridy weed episodes, it's not something I can see myself ever rewatching. Like not even a second time through.
He got rid of most of his weed and even at the end he was still working as a scientist helping solve the water crisis with the fake breasts. I'm hopeful that they'll at least cut back on it, even if they still live on the farm and they like weed, he'll stay a geologist.
We won't know until the next time Randy gets some focus, which likely won't be too long.

First, the water supply crisis is about water shortage crisis in Colorado (and other states) and monetization of such an important supply as water. This is pretty easy to understand as the first part of Streaming Wars is a parody of 70's movie Chinatown which was inspired by the California water wars. In real life there are billionaires like The Resnicks who own huge amounts of water and can provide it for demand while smaller farmers simply can't compete with them (less than 10% is owned by small farmers). Matt and Trey criticizing this is pretty much the opposite of their season 2 episode Gnomes which shows that they have grown out of that kind of thinking. Anyway, rich people get something out of climate change because the demand for water grows during these heats and they are the ones selling it. Next, the streaming service is word play on video streaming services and the first court scene in this episode is not subtle at all when it talks about "exclusive deal" Stan and Tolkien broke just like how Matt and Trey have made a deal both with HBO Max and Paramount+, Paramount+ being the "exclusive one" as they promised to make 14 special episodes for them. It seems like they regret this decision a little bit because it's simply too much work for them, but that's what greed does to you, and the quality of the product even goes down but who cares? As Randy asks "why did it come to this", Stan says "I guess we all got a bit too greedy". Average American is extremely greedy and thinks he "needs" stuff, just like how Cartman desperately waits for something "cool" to happen to him and he goes to extreme ways to get it and so he ends up with absurdly giant pair of boobs.

Americans are not like those commies in Europe after all. The same goes for streaming services, they need to produce more crap so they can stay alive.
Now the celebrities drinking piss are just the same celebrities who have shilled for crypto without even knowing what they're doing, so they might as well drink pee and tell people it's good, right? You are free to think they were not funny gags but this kind of celebrity humor has been the very essence of South Park since its beginning.
They come up with a solution and Cartman makes a speech how people will do anything when someone is trying to frick with their mom, this is mostly just humor as this was Cartman's personal quest and delusional thinking. But the goodwill of the adults doesn't stay long as Randy says "we have water for summer now, let's smoke some weed".
It wasn't really hard to follow, everything was tied together in the end.

Because there are definitely sexual dimorphisms in real life like you point out with the orangutans and the elephant seal trunks, and there are also animals with very little sexual dimorphism. These concepts can co exist because they do in real life.

I think orangutans would be the most closest analogue. We were talking about the differences in size and head shape, right? Well, the differences in orangutans are in size and head shape. Male faces have extra flaps for rivalry displays making them look way wider.

The orcs especially look like they'd be different hominid species or something. Especially when you see the female is fully erect while the male is naturally hunched, with his skull sticking forward. Tusks are like horns, the way they're used means you need thicker neck muscles probably a denser skull and connective tissue so that when you're bashing your head into stuff to impale it on your tusks you don't give yourself a concussion. If being hunched was better for charging other orcs with their tusks (not sure that's something they actually do in lore though) then yes, the hunched orc would win more contests and pass down the hunched gene. Sure, there are different traits like horn, mandible, and general body size that can be controlled by hormones, but a completely different spinal structure? If anything I'd think both male and females would have the hunch, just the males would have the considerably larger neck muscles and tusks. Since the shape of the skeleton seems like it would be apart of the base "genetic blueprint" of the creature so to say.

"character development" into a better person isnt for the better if it turns them into a worse character, and character development into a better character is still best, even if it turns them into a bad person. taking a character, making them ''realistic'' or ''nicer'' and in turn making them a worse character isnt good development.

Style was really big back when Trey thought that him and Matt would live happily ever after as bros, but in 2008 Matt got married while Trey got divorced, and it was the start of style losing relevance while kyman gained it. Kyman's relationship is different because while they hate each other on the surface, they're obsessed with each other, and this dichotomy is probably cathartic for Trey.
